    Not just a tutorial but a complete and simple explanation of "how to correctly use FX in a production". Really Good!. Thanks Joe. Keep it up!!

    Thanks for the crossfader tip. I did not realize I could assign and switch between them so easily.

      @joefilbrun  Рік тому +2

      I forgot to mention this but you can also use the DELETE button + Assign A or B to delete whatever you assigned. If you’re using it for a temporary thing like this, I find that’s a good idea when I’m done so I don’t accidentally knock it out of position and not understand what happened later on.

    Thanks for this. You got a nice way breaking down these topics. I knew all about sends/returns but what I didn't know was that shortcut of assigning parameters to crossfader such a time saver!
    It would be cool if you made a video on all the filter types in the Drum Program & what's the best way to use each.
    Is that a video you think you would ever make?
    Peace!

    You are an excellent teacher. Just came across your channel and have really enjoyed your videos. You are offering so much value with these lessons. Interesting and useful topics, easy to follow and understand.
    I particularly enjoyed your Akai Force Auto-Sampler video, although I’ve learned something new in each of the videos you’ve created thus far, .. even when I’ve already been somewhat familiar with a given topic.
    Please continue making content for the Akai Force.. you are providing a great service. I’ve subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to future videos.

      @@joefilbrun Yeah it was. I really like how you explain why would you use them and not just how to use them.
      I see you have modular gear in the back, do you have any cool secret techniques to share? I just use them for 1v/oct and gate in lieu of midi but I'm sure there are more interesting ways to use the CV ports that escapes me. Currently im trying to get an LFO mapped to CV ports but I have not figure it out yet.

      @@Drozas91 Yep, there are a few more interesting ways to use them via the envelope follower - that’s the only way to generate a low frequency type CV signal in the Force that can be assigned to the CV ports that I know of. What kind of CV gear are you using it with?

    Hi Joe, love you're channel.. learned so much. Wonder if you can guide me on a storage problem?.. I've been stupidly saving stuff on internal drive.. now storing tracks properly on card.. my internal drive is now full.. deleted stuff from it.. but still full.. I'm going to add a solid state drive. I'm cautious about updating or adding new plugins because internal drive full.. how do I fix?

    • @joefilbrun
      @joefilbrun  Рік тому +2

      Hey, thanks for that! Yeah, I wish they had made that internal drive read-only or something. It’s not clear when you get one that you probably shouldn’t save much stuff on it. As long as you have enough space on the internal drive that it’s not causing anything weird to happen (like trouble booting or something) you’re probably fine. When you go to install the plugins, you can just put the files on your SSD when you get it via computer mode, or you can also put them an SD card - that works too.

    please help us with sending an audio track to outboard gear (EQs, Compressors, Reverbs, etc) and solutions to latency issues. Can the Force offer latency compensation as a DAW would do?

    • @joefilbrun
      @joefilbrun  Рік тому

      Hey @sojourner-kl6ei that's an interesting topic for a video. To my knowledge the Force doesn't have any latency comp at this point. I do use it some with external FX but it's typically things like reverb/delay where latency is a bit less noticeable.
