*Beats Aava that's invisible while naked with no help* MrTakahashi: "Oh, that could have been so much better" Me: "That was the most impressive thing I've ever seen"
+Ian Alvord I ended up doing the same in first playthrough. Not because I'm great at the game, but because I did not know you could get an item to make the goddamn beast visible (htf was I supposed to know!). I took me like 30 tries, tho :P
+Anonssr this is a bit late but there was literally a whole different part of the area you could have gone first by just going the other direction and it's a linear path to the item you "need" for the fight... it couldn't be much more obvious
other comments aren't wrong but it's because of rapier's built-in counter damage. any attack you make against an enemy in the middle of an animation gains bonus damage. leo ring, flynn's ring, brightbug and dex also add to this.
Awesome! Your period of the king.......bad luck:( But I learned many thing from your run.For example I practiced kill Baldyr,I could save 5~8 sec.I hope you will get next great run, good luck with your run!
+Dab Rab you need the dragon talon (key) to open the door to shulva. it's in a room halfway down the well in majula behind a door which you can open with the forgotten key you get for beating the 2 giants in the black gulch. easy right? ;) in the original edition he's playing you just have the dragon talon key in your inventory if you bought the shulva dlc, so he doesn't need to get it.
+Dab Rab its a long process, 1st you have to kill the 2 club wielding giants in the black gulch, you have to jump off the edge from the 2nd bonfire and then you find a cave, kill the 2 giants and you get the forgotten key, now you have to go to majula and either make some specific jumps to get the the platform with the ladder that goes up or you can buy the 3rd ladder from gilligan and get there easily, you get gilligan to move after you beat the earthern peak or talk to him in his respectful position. Once you either go down the big ladder or drop onto the platform you climb the ladder, open the door and you find the key in the back left corner, not in the 3 chests, you find the iron key at the fire pit in forest of fallen giants you can jump down there with the fall damage ring or open the door just before the last giant boss fight with the key at the start of iron keep in the fire and you find the key to the 3rd dlc in drangleic castle
Great run. Just wondering something: would it be faster to unequip all weapons (especially the twinblade) while running a long way to the boss? That twinblade weighs you down a lot especially with a Flynn ring build.
xMrGreeneJeansx He is still under 70% equip load so the speed of his running is the fastest possible. It does however effect stamina regen speed so it might be saving a second or two.
The "Pursuer" in this speedrun must've fell asleep, because in the PS4/Xbox One Scholar of the First Sin edition, he would never let you get cheese him like that unless you parry him lol.
1:35:50 is brightbug really that strong? I fight this dragon with the same stuff (red iron twinblade +10 and gold pine reisen) and he is so much tankier, idk why
DS2 isn't the easiest think about it if you've played the first then the game is easy they only realized " hey EVERYONES good at the game now let's ramp up the difficulty " in DS3
TheFlamingGamerZx Dark Souls 2 is easily the hardest. In ds1 and des you could sircle around every enemy to get easy backstabs and there were much less enemies attacking at once. Also bosses like fume knight and darklurker are much harder than anything in the other games. Not to mention how fucked up areas like shrine of armana and many others are.
Extremely impressive. How long did it take you to practice all the bosses? Also, I feel like the bosses did low damage to you, considering you're unarmored, is this a patch thing, or is it just me?
In most of the later bosses he used a Bright Bug, which decreases damage received and increases damage dealt. Other than those bosses, it could be a patch that makes them stronger/you weaker. (sorry for the late reply, hope it still helps)
I'm sure he just makes it look easy, but as someone who's never played this game it looks like you just run past everyone, quickly select items from your inventory, and staby staby the bosses.
Anybody else bothered by the sound of the analogue sticks bashing into the side of the controller every time he moves his camera? A really nitpicky thing for an awesome speed run, I know, but I can't be the only one.
It's the normal version of Ds2 + DLC (Hence why Aldia appears) The actual scholar version changes item locations, adds more enemies and whatnot. That's why runners don't play that one.
What sword is that, and how does he upgrade it so fast to do so much damage to the first bosses? The menu navigation is too fast for me to follow, and I can't even see the name of the things!
*game completed*
*waiting in tension for some reaction*
"MARK MY WORDS..."
*video ends*
20 minutes in
hes done more than most in 5 hours
Hell at 5 minutes in he's done more than most would get done in their first hour!
Well, he doesnt kill anyone
Congrats man, refreshing to see people back on the DS2 runs.
Oh, my god! The best run ever! You truly are perfect at speed running.
*Beats Aava that's invisible while naked with no help*
MrTakahashi: "Oh, that could have been so much better"

put on your cheerleader outfit. lol
I don't think you understand speedruns....
@@tomascanevaro4292 Well I now know your completely blind as to what i was referring to.
Great run MrTakahashi!
I always find your videos fun to watch or soothing to play in the background :)
and here I'm with 100+ hours and the DLCs untouched. You sir are the man.
insane video dude. I couldn't stop watching it
Dude I'm only 26 minutes into this video and I have to say, this dude's memory is amazing for each and every area
Causing more damage with that rapier than I am with a +10 Ultra Greatsword with bolt stone enchantment. I feel like such a scrub
Its because of his stats
nathan smith brightbug plus rings and buffs and min max leveling
Rapier is best weapon in ds2😅
other comments aren't wrong but it's because of rapier's built-in counter damage. any attack you make against an enemy in the middle of an animation gains bonus damage. leo ring, flynn's ring, brightbug and dex also add to this.
my favorite part of any dark souls run is making bosses fall off the edge of the architecture
Was watching elajjaz attempting this, finally someone who ACTUALLY managed to do a sub :40
20 mins and he killed 7 bosses .. 20 min and i still cant creat my character (>._.)>
Valo Denkov looooooool
While the king was an optional boss, It should have been on here!
I nearly shat myself on Nasandra
Awesome! Your period of the king.......bad luck:(
But I learned many thing from your run.For example I practiced kill Baldyr,I could save 5~8 sec.I hope you will get next great run, good luck with your run!
nice run, got to learn alot from it
edit: really impressive tho
Mr Takahashi is the best runner in the world!
+Mattrickxx Go to speedsouls to check out
i prefer santzo personaly ^^ he is able to face any situation and that is realy pleasant to watch!
but MrTakahashi is hella good too!
Damn, that was very nice speedrun.
I hope you take Demon Soul's challenge.
Can't wait this one.
I thought him poking the iron kings hand while he was eas breathing fire was clever as hell
hey mane, thanks for your work. Your talent is scary :)
Mr takahashi sir you are the man
Would like to see a Demon's souls speedrun by you or even Dark Souls, if possible.
+Bluer Sora I'm planning on learning Demon's Souls next if I have time before Dark Souls 3 comes out
MrTakahashi Thats great news, cant wait for you to take up that challenge. I always learn from your speedruns.
+Bluer Sora Yeah please do a demon souls run if you will
+MrTakahashi are you swedish?
+Bilsen Yup
Is the audio a few seconds behind for anyone else?
This is awesome even though i'm not speed-running the game there are heaps of manoeuvres here that will help : )
outstanding...as usual
Well played men.
He is a god
there's only 1god my friend. jesus christ. 😁
There is nothing worse than a man in a hurry
A naked man running around with a rapier, to be more exact.
yes there's a tweaker in a hurry. slowest thing ever. lol
the fight with nashandra is the luckies shit ive ever seen
He has done more in this 2:30:29 than I have done in 100+ hours and that makes me salty xD
Did you not end the game in 100+ hours?😮😀
to achieve this that guy played maybe a thousand hours so dont be mad
right after i defeat rotten i go to that big door and it says closed....Do you know why? Im on ps4.
+Dab Rab you need the dragon talon (key) to open the door to shulva. it's in a room halfway down the well in majula behind a door which you can open with the forgotten key you get for beating the 2 giants in the black gulch. easy right? ;)

+Dab Rab That's a DLC area.
The only way to get DS2 next gen is SCOTFS. if I'm right so he would have them he's talking about the darklutker Doors
Appaloosa Hill You need to get the key for the dlc in the new version
Bruuuuh dude, Nashandra almost kill you hahahah, truly amazing! :D
*Beats Aava naked and with no help*
I can't even find the item that makes it visible since there is so many enemies in sotfs
2:28:50 so fun
why does he keep taking off his clothes when he does a boss battle? does it affect any thing to do with the boss itself?
That menu navigation though...
The "Pursuer" in this speedrun must've fell asleep, because in the PS4/Xbox One Scholar of the First Sin edition, he would never let you get cheese him like that unless you parry him lol.
yes he does bro. I've done it.
why dont you go to AGDQ i always hear runners talk about you and you obviously hold some records
1:35:50 is brightbug really that strong? I fight this dragon with the same stuff (red iron twinblade +10 and gold pine reisen) and he is so much tankier, idk why
His stats are probably built specifically for the twinblade and rapier
Fzs Brightbugs are incredibly powerful.
Fzs He also had red tearstone ring that boosts damage by 40% when under 20% health.
Is it just me or is the sound not right with the Video (delay) 3-5 sec.
why is his damage so high to every boss? what is the number of his ng+?
Damage is because of resins and stats, and it's ng.
Falkuda Brightbugs let you do insane amounts of damage
Clutch as fuck. Great run, thanks!
why is there no drag b4 oriensten...?
Great run! What did you say in the end? Mark my words...? Because the video stopped
the twinblade does so much damage, what buffs/rings do you use with it?
Brightbug and resins. That thing is awesome and powerful without them.
Is it really worth it to use a bright bug for the rat vanguard?
+Braden Kowalski I think that it ends up being worth it because it lasts all the way to the Rotten, even up until the DLC1 loading screen.
OMG nashandra.... rly close :O
Beautiful * - *
it's hard to tell with this guy's lightning speed but what is the weapon he's using? A simple rapier?
Joseph Barry yes
''Your fucking amazing dude i wish i could play like you am going to start taking notes''
You were so lucky with nashandra
you are a master.dark souls 2 is very hard.but the dls absolutely very harder.exelent
yes.ds one harder than 2.hum..but i didn;t play ds 3 yet
DS2 isn't the easiest think about it if you've played the first then the game is easy they only realized " hey EVERYONES good at the game now let's ramp up the difficulty " in DS3

TheFlamingGamerZx Definitely not.
could anyone pls tell me how many bosses are there in total including all the dlc's, didnt have time to see the whole gameplay but great job anyways.
depending on whether you count blue smelter and double dragonriders the number is 38-40. most of them are shit though so dont get your hopes up
+JoeSizzle thanks
ayush ratan there are 41 bosses
András Csanád Schmidt thanks
can you take the vedrik sword?
Why do they always skip the undead chariot?
+Kris Hardy You fight Chariot later on since it's faster (about 1:25:00 into this video)
How did he do damage so quickly to Elana?
where did he get red iron twin blade
+Joshua Celani 1:16:42
Hi what keyboard binding did u use for dark souls 2
Aiaj Rijvee from the sound i believe its a controller. not kbm
why would u play dark souls with a kb?
Bob Ross stubborn pc master race
Extremely impressive. How long did it take you to practice all the bosses? Also, I feel like the bosses did low damage to you, considering you're unarmored, is this a patch thing, or is it just me?
In most of the later bosses he used a Bright Bug, which decreases damage received and increases damage dealt. Other than those bosses, it could be a patch that makes them stronger/you weaker.
(sorry for the late reply, hope it still helps)
Uzii Ever heard of fashion souls? Basically means armor does almost nothing in Dark Souls^^
It is not more speed to take one more giant soul for vendrick ?
The last one is MOTHAFUCKIN AD so it's easier to kill vendy without it
Appaloosa Hill Yes it's true ^^
Yeahhh boi
Darkluker?
Is the fume knight optional?
If you want the crown then no, but for the main game, yes he is optional
+TheShadowsword01 yes, thanks but I already finished the game, thank anyway :)
What does RTA mean
you're so amazing!
it literally took me 1 hour and a half to get to the last giant!
this is literally amazing
I mean he is casually humming! Amazing
sau nice
all bosses run? he didnt kill the dragon or the witch in dlc1 run through
nevermind he did
I'm sure he just makes it look easy, but as someone who's never played this game it looks like you just run past everyone, quickly select items from your inventory, and staby staby the bosses.
where's frog?
what fps counter were you using ?
What was his stats at the end?
Did you play on a keyboard or a gamepad?
+Whiter Than Snow I'm pretty sure its gamepad because you can hear the sticks making noise
+Bryce Hovde He played with an xbox 360 wired controller
how do i get patch 1.10?
Any chance you've got patch 1.00?
Tamir Amram I have dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin, that might be why
yea i have both of them , sotfs currect patch is 1.02 i think
You are a fucking machine. :D
I'm on Xbox one at the lost sinner anyone wanna help?
I know this is irrelevant but I'm getting an XBX 1 soon so maybe but you've probably killed her by now
And you got my follow =)
Anybody else bothered by the sound of the analogue sticks bashing into the side of the controller every time he moves his camera? A really nitpicky thing for an awesome speed run, I know, but I can't be the only one.
mand0rk I'm with you man >.
It’s satisfying
mrtakahashi , will this route also work on normal version of ds2?
It is the normal version
i meant not scholar of first sin
It's the normal version of Ds2 + DLC (Hence why Aldia appears) The actual scholar version changes item locations, adds more enemies and whatnot. That's why runners don't play that one.
why not do it on remastered version? this one feels old and irrelevant
+Sucheit Because scholar of the first sin is about 5 minutes slower and just includes a bit more running around
+Sucheit whatever the respective speedrun-community runs is relevant. scholar is not being run by the community, so it is irrelevant.
How did you open door at 21:-00 without DLC1 key item?
He is playing the original version where you automatically get the keys upon starting
What sword is that, and how does he upgrade it so fast to do so much damage to the first bosses? The menu navigation is too fast for me to follow, and I can't even see the name of the things!
sword is the rapier with an aromatic ooze buff, common stuff in speedruns
+BESTYORDLE thank you so much! I'm actually on a (shitty) mobile, so that's why it's hard to see lol
Guys like that I ask where can I get the dark souls I buy the best I buy parts 1 2 3 this are all parts
Alena Mamam Amazon
i sub
someone beat dark souls 3 in 51 minutes
They used a glitch though a glitch very similar to parry walking in the OG DS2
U just get my sub👊🏻🍻🤘🏻
damn you good 😑
were did he pick up cat ring??? i dont wanna pay for it , ahha
He paid for it.
its pretty cheap, just buy it
NOOOOOOOOOO hahaha
Why doesn't he kill any of the dlc bosses?
He does but later on so he can level up more. Those are hard bosses.
Sound out of sync
1:24:42 That´s the only thing I hate so much about this game, totally broken tracking, fucking 180 % in air
Lol thats na increnible video
What a pro gay mer
...
No.
...
and he's glitching? i hate glitch runs
Lol I love lil kids who hate when people do anything better than them and lie thinking that everyone will believe them what a dumbass
Appaloosa Hill are you calling me a dumb ass?
ok ok ok ok ok ok ok... sinner. lol
Are you human :D
I could beat you within seconds.
mgkpraesi Abbath... Or in Norwegian
Abbat!!!
A Bath ;)
das1 has better graphics than this
