Really hope this becomes a common thing. I’m only just now getting back into Legion after a two year break, and seeing this has fired me up some more! Thank you, Ash!
As someone who just got SUPER into Legion, I would very much like to see this continue.

What I learned from this video: Yoda is a token generating monster and Commando droids with vibroswords are terrifying
3:13 HQ uplink is a one time use, not every turn! You can refresh it with a 'Recover' action of course!
There's a special joy to seeing a pack of Wookiees rip B2s apart like slightly stale bread. Dunno if I'll ever play it but this is interesting to watch.

Welcome back to the game! Good to see some Maul and Dooku action. :)
Just remember some things I saw that came to mind:
- With "Supply Drop", you get to pick 2 cards of the pile each time and decide for one instead for picking one and having to keep that.
- "Impact" only works on squads with armor keyword (like B2s), so you can't change hits to crits against units without that (like B1s, think that was used sometime).
- The distance to attack is always measured from the unit leader, you cannot cohere forward to get into range of stuff (I think I saw that, if not, apologies).

Yeah, with range 4 between the starting zones on Battle Lines, its not possible to move one and shoot at range 3 into a unit still in the enemy zone. Nit-pick aside though, great job and love the painted armies.
With the Impact thing - note that even against units with armour, Impact happens *after* dodges and cover. So you can lose the hit to cover or dodges before it gets a chance to be turned into a crit.
Note that "Speed-x" moves - like the speed-2 move from Dooku, is not impacted by difficult terrain. This also applies to scout moves, for example. Difficult terrain only slows you down when you move "at your unit's speed" (ie: normal moves).
Panicing droids still only make a single move action to the nearest edge. Withdrawing takes "your whole activation" not 2 actions, so normal panicing or supressed units can still disengage.
Just wanted to note that even though I am leaving comments about fairly minor errors - this was a great battle report and none of the small corrections make any significant difference to the battle. And of course, for the "first game in three years" you did very well!

Just a few things towards the end that I remember, distance for shooting is measured off the unit leader. (52:28)
That BARC shot at Dooku because you were elevated over the barricade would only needed to have been light cover.
Supply Cards allow you to choose between 2
...something early on with yoda ill have to rewatch and edit this.
But awesome this is my favorite game! Hopefully AMG starts to iron out everything and hit a stride soon!

Legion is an amazing game. Really tactical, lethal (and I'm not talking about the Keywords :p) and deep. Much more balance than your typical GW games to be honest.

Very nice battle report, I like the video quality. I have a few tips for my fellow Canadian players, the wookie don't need environmental gears, since scale gives them that already. When you promote a unit to commander, you also change it rank, he needs to use the commander tokens. When the BARC speeder has a gunner is speed is reduced to 2, Burst of speed also gives you a immobilize token at the end of your activation and as someone said in the comments having more LOS blocking terrain in the middle usually end up with a better gameplay experience at least in my area. Keep them going I want to see more Legion from you guys!

You got me into legion in the first place so it’s great to see some more games at long last on the channel! There’s a real lack of good Legion content on YT (compared to 40k for example) so looking forward to seeing a few more (hopefully with the other factions at some point in the future!)
This looks like a really fun game. It seems like FFG did not go for token overload and they all seem to make sense in this game. I hope you will be able to produce more legion batreps.

I would take off the environmental gear off the wookies as they have scale built in and place maybe recon intel for the same amount of points
Man that was really close till the end.. lol. Droids just didnt have the staying power against, what I can only describe as.. the Mega Ultra Wookie-Zords
Overall looks good, no major rules mistakes. The BARC has surge: hit btw, it seems like you forgot that 2 times that you used it.

Stoked you’re playing Legion. Beautiful board but not much cover. You’ll get more interesting games if you thickened terrain up a bit more.
The rulebook said 1/4 full then spread it out… we did like 1/3?
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames yep, my comment was more about the lack of LOS blocking and cover. The center of the battlefield was wide open and looked like the best blocking terrain was in the corners. You’ll get a more tactical game if you have the option of deploying into cover or double moving from cover to cover instead of dice mulching whole units in the middle.

Good report, read up on a few rules just but still great.
Also, the train is just to open in the middle, you have all the LOS blockers on the sides but nothing in the middle of the board.
I personally would almost not want to play on this board.
Loved the video please do more SW Legion battle reports.
Also for Supply Drop select 2 top cards flip and pick one returning the card not picked to the bottom of the pile and reshuffle.

you should think about some echo dampening, especially notable around 2:30
Im pretty sure theres a new rule for clones, which prevents them from "piggy-backing" or using other adjacent clone unit tokens more than once per activation.
The republic got a major rebalancing recently.
They can share token only one token per instance, so if they attack they can use a single token from another clone, but when they defend they may also take a single token from an adjacent unit.

Ive just finished selling all my X-wing stuff. Really enjoyed the game but always felt I spent more time looking for and rearranging lists having to reorganize pilots, pegs, upgrades, tokens, etc, than actually playing the game. With the 2.5 changes by AMG this got even worse as the loudout value practically forces you to jam every ship full of upgrades. This was the last straw for me... Would you say Legion is more or less the same or is it less finicky? Just the fact that you dont need 57 different things strapped to the model itself (just a miniature) make me think it would be less tiresome.

Don't spend all the aims and roll 3 dice. Use one aim, see the result and reroll with another aim 2 dice. You're cuting yourself short.

Exactly this. In Legion, you can reroll a reroll as long as you have the tokens for it. Spend Aim tokens one at a time, unless you have equal to or more than enough misses that you will likely be spending two Aim tokens to begin with.
