Rule mistakes didn't bother me as they did others as I am still learning the game. These two gents are absolutely fun and delightful to watch. "Mr. Vader, Sir!" Really fun stuff!
Great video and one of the first complete match. Congratulations! some feedback: -Vader implacable command card says he may suffer 2 wound to suffle his token into the pool, so the second activation is randomly in the later round. -Luke's lightsaber attack is 6 black die -z6 trooper attack is 6 white die -The pin and pannic due to the supression tokens was used wrong. A unit panic threshold is equal to the number of miniatures this unit have (so 4 troopers need 4 supression tokens to pin and 8 to panic and flee) -speederbikes can pivot without move, so you can turn the mini spending one action to shoot an enemy (not circle move needed haha) - I think dodge tokens in vader and lukes are more valuable than we can imagine (due to deflect).
where does it say that you need suppresion tokens for each trooper? On ffg website article unit of 3 troopers got 2 supression tokens and that was enought to take the action from them so you are wrong. Courage value is for the whole squad not per miniature. Same if that unit had 3 tonkes that would be more than twice their threshold and that would panic them. Read the article again please. www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2017/12/29/pitched-battle/
Kuba Jarmuła yes, my fault. It seems like moral makes sense rigth now on my mind! And this makes "master of evil" command card a truly game change! Thanks for the correction
Really nice to see a semi-full game of this. Although, despite us mere mortals not having anything else than a pieced-together version of the rules, it was painful to watch this due to the numerous errors. Please, do another one, but give the rules a thorough read-through so that the viewers can get a correct view of the game. Enjoyed your terrain to the point of actually considering buying a laser cutter and start churning out such pieces en masse. We are going to need *a lot* of it when the game hits!
The only thing I noticed that hasn't been pointed out already, is I think the Z8 (whatever the Rebel Gatling Gun is), is 6 white dice, not 5. Really enjoyable to watch! I'm stoked for Legion
I noticed that you guys are using both heavy trooper upgrades in your squads. We don’t have the rules yet, but I think that there is only room on each unit for one heavy upgrade and an additional normal trooper.
BoW Sam Great video as always but, if you are struggling with army building I would suggest using the BattleScribe and the Star Wars Legion list creator their - makes sure your limited as you should be and it’s completely up-to-date as we speak (so speeder, new weapons and AT-ST are there). Just a suggestion if your struggling and it’s also good for setting a pt limit and tracking it easier (as it does the calculations and tracking for you)
Also from what I have seen regards to attacking, you nominate a target and which weapons to shoot (this forms a dice pool) and all the dice are rolled at the same time.
Master of Evil When Darth Vader is issued an order, he gains 1 dodge token. When Darth Vader activates, each enemy trooper at range 1-2 of him gains 3 suppression tokens.
Great game, love to see another where you explain and show the use of some of the other tokens. Also where did you get the landing platforms? Thanks guys!
I feel like the person whose has the turn marker should go first if both players have the same number of pip on their command card. The rolling adds an element of chance that really doesn't need it.
Cover is nullified by Blast, Dodge tokens are not. Dodge is technically better, but takes an action to activate. Moving into cover 1 allows movement, and Aim/fire/etc. but can be ignored by blast.
To be honest. Video quality is awesome as always, gameplaynis nicely done but those basic rules mistakes makes it uncomfortable to watch at least for me. Like you dont even read the cards you have and use it in your own way, rebel troopers somehow fire double time and have orders on everything and ist just meh. Please, please please. Make more Legion but first read the rules again and make it right this time because you cannot take double heavy upgrade in a squad... Damn even that discusion to kill ion torper or regular trooper i irrelevant because that damn ion trooper shot both ion gun and regular rifle...
Thanks a lot for posting. I have a question. How is it that Vader immediately performed his implacable activation after his first activation? I thought his token had to be shuffled and therefore drawn at random which the other units?
I recently purchased this game but it is my first so I have no terrain.Could anyone recommend a place for Legion terrain?I live in Canada and don’t really want to spend a hundred on shipping
Do not know if this was mentioned yet. But Luke's ability to issue orders and gain dodge token is given during issuing phase not activation? So whoever he chooses to issue the orders to would get dodge tokens immediately. Just like Vader's get a dodge upon issue but once he activates all units within 1 to 2 gain 3 suppression. NUUU Vader would of had a dodge token and lived!! lol
Battle Kiwi, he did a kickstarter for it at the end of last year, think it's going on general sale in March sometime. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1797749328/endor-tabletop-wargaming-terrain
They did a bit about the table in the Weekender on the 10th, including a closer look at the Battle Kiwi buildings and such that Lancorz and Scuzzlebutt mentioned.
As models are dying off, I notice the firepower of the squads hasn’t been diminishing. It was always 5 white dice for the rebels plus the special guns. Is that correct or was that a mistake?
It was a mistake. Every time a model dies in the unit he no longer includes his dice when attacking. Edit: sorry but the 5 white dice were the chain gun for the Rebels (which should have been 6 white dice) the Rebel Trooper uses a black dice to shoot normally - it differentiates then from the Storm Troopers who use white however have red dice armour compared to the rebels white. So they were rolling the right dice (mostly) but they did make plenty of mistakes
Using the Son of Skywalker card? Yes thanks for picking that up. We were very keen to get this out to everyone as soon as possible, and are still getting to grips with the rules, so unfortunately we will slip up occassionally as we learn.
I was excited to see this, since video quality from Beasts of War is simply perfect. But with the rules mistakes right from the very beginning and taking the statement that they say they are just learning the game, I prefer to stop watching. I'll see it when they make another one with the correct rules.
Too many mistakes. Like with the command cards. When you pass out “Command” tokens, that’s considered giving an order because they have to be in range of your commander to receive the token. Therefore they receive their dodge token or whatever token the command card says at that time
Ahh so bummed storm troopers got the shitty end of the stick again with bad accuracy. Plain annoying how even in this game they are like cannon fodder...
ehhhh looks interesting. Sure hes a nice guy but i found the imperial player annoying as hell with his lame jokes and condescending talk constantly towards rebels. like super lame and felt embarrassed for him while watching it... like that feeling you get when ya watch a dork on a show ask out the popular girl.... hard to watch ruined it for me....
Rule mistakes didn't bother me as they did others as I am still learning the game. These two gents are absolutely fun and delightful to watch. "Mr. Vader, Sir!" Really fun stuff!
Turn one, Standing orders is a 4 pip command card but only allows you to issue a single order, the rest of your tokens go into the bag
Great video and one of the first complete match. Congratulations! some feedback:

So bikes compulsory move can be pivot?

That is true.

YEAH! Not every day you watch a gameplay video and get an Electric Six reference. Nicely done!
Also from what I have seen regards to attacking, you nominate a target and which weapons to shoot (this forms a dice pool) and all the dice are rolled at the same time.
Master of Evil
When Darth Vader is issued an order, he gains 1 dodge token. When Darth Vader activates, each enemy trooper at range 1-2 of him gains 3 suppression tokens.
Dodge: Gain a Dodge token. This token is removed during the end phase. Use while defending to cancel one of the attacker’s hit results.
The 'Commissar' type rule on Vader is interesting if not entirely surprising.
Great game, love to see another where you explain and show the use of some of the other tokens. Also where did you get the landing platforms? Thanks guys!
I think you can only have 1special weapon per squad
What is the point off all the nice props if you aren't inside or on top of them.
I feel like the person whose has the turn marker should go first if both players have the same number of pip on their command card. The rolling adds an element of chance that really doesn't need it.
Is there a difference between cover 1 and a Dodge token? They both seem to do the same thing
Cover is nullified by Blast, Dodge tokens are not. Dodge is technically better, but takes an action to activate. Moving into cover 1 allows movement, and Aim/fire/etc. but can be ignored by blast.

I don't see how he doesn't get cover in the end there.
Thanks a lot for posting. I have a question. How is it that Vader immediately performed his implacable activation after his first activation? I thought his token had to be shuffled and therefore drawn at random which the other units?
TheChristhesecond that’s how I read it too
Yeah, That's what I read on the card as well, don't think that was done right. They did say they were still learning though....
also rebel player ordered ALL of hjs units instead on one
Great vidéo great room and great table ;)
Loved to hear "Quelle surprise " , i'am french ;)
I recently purchased this game but it is my first so I have no terrain.Could anyone recommend a place for Legion terrain?I live in Canada and don’t really want to spend a hundred on shipping

Would Luke gain a suppression token after being attacked by Vader? Or does suppression only work on ranged attacks? (Sorry I can't remember)
That terrain is amazing. Where can we got our hands on some? Or is it custom?
Shawn Leyden battle kiwi
Battle Kiwi, he did a kickstarter for it at the end of last year, think it's going on general sale in March sometime. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1797749328/endor-tabletop-wargaming-terrain

Are they not selling that terrain on their site?
What a room!
Is this from a single core box?
Great looking game. Hopefully it catches on in my area.
When you shoot 2 units with Impact 1 (like the speeders), can you change 2 dice or 1?
I’m interested, but I’ll wait for the Confederacy of Independent systems Army to be released.
hahaha, love the storm trooper t-shirt.
Happy May the 4th!

Reece Dignan ah ok! Cheers for the clarification. Enjoying the game, I want a droid army, give me grievous!
Speeders have fixed front
Nice, u have got it. Do not put the biggest buildings in front of the camera. ;)
Indeed that was a silly mistake and hands were slapped.
At 1:05 missed that Luke could attack twice.
Using the Son of Skywalker card? Yes thanks for picking that up. We were very keen to get this out to everyone as soon as possible, and are still getting to grips with the rules, so unfortunately we will slip up occassionally as we learn.
TheBeastsOfWar Great play through.
High Voltage reference lol

It's liam neeson as a chewie.
I wonder if it'll be out soon.
Frozt001 23 of March I recall correctly.
Frozt001 Sorry, 22nd but that may only be an Adepiticon pre-launch thingy.
no worries, just need to see when i can grab a box or two at my local game store
March 22nd is the release date at least for the US, along with the initial set of expansions.
brilliant game. very funny.
Sounds like they repurposed a lot of the Dust Warfare rules for this game. I liked Dust Warfare.
sound good to e roger roger
Great vid!
The only downside is, that with all the MB:P vids I watched I imagine every vid how it would be with Leo in it promoting the game 😄
i want an army or ewoks now....
They are new at thos so dont bull them
Yey Gerr!!!
Looking forward to this :).
I hope you get an 'Ooteenee' every time you win an objective.

This game mechanics is poor
Too much randomness. Imperial Assault is a better game
Why you even make these videos if you dont get the rules right?
God awful rules system and a business model designed to strip away your cash rather than providing a well thought out logical rule set. No thanks.
haters gonna hate
Trolls gotta Troll
seems a lot more balanced than other wargames
could you at least provide examples of why you think the rules system and business model is badly designed?
Well, one thing is that there are not even enough dice for one player in the starter box...
Happy May the 4th!
