@kingwilliam
I appreciate you making a video on this mate!
It’s a great alternative to the killawatt with being WiFi and all the info it gives
Thanks for vid. I need to recalibrate the current on mine
Same with mine....it's showing a bit high.
Apart from the fact, that it measures apparent power yet we pay for true/active power it looks fine.
I wonder why they did not implement displaying all power types having PF.
It’s a good deal for the $. It does show a power factor. It would be nice if they had a firmware tote with some more features but it’s not a bad device and being able to turn the port off and on remotely is nice
@@KingWilliamYes in did. We have to let them know how to improve it.
Could you show how to connect the WiFi version to the app.
Sure give me a couple of days and i'll put a video together.
so far I hate mine because it tells me to download an app to add a device & this isn't listed anywhere nor will it show up after I connect it with Bluetooth. Got it connected. I really only want to use this to monitor how much our EV is using to charge at my father-in-law's house so I can pay him per kWh. if someone can reach out & help me it would be highly appreciated
Smart life is the app. You can get most of the info from the screen using the buttons. But the app is way easier if you connect the meter to WiFi.
mine, does not stay online wifi connected more than 9 hours/day. I am forced to cut off entirely its power.
Check the signal strength. I’m fairly close to a so and mine has been running for months. Also make sure the auto firmware update is on so it is the latest firmware.
I might be a WIFI version, but it also has Bluetooth. If you do a BT device scan yiou will see a S1WP_SPP and a S1WP_BLE you can connect to. I don't like that, so do you have any idea how to turn the Bluetooth function off on this device? If you connect through WIFI, someone near the Smart Meter can still connect the BT devices. You can see the flashing BT led next to the buttons.
I’ll check mine out
@@KingWilliam Thanks. 👍
