After Effects: Slash VFX Tutorial

hey friends, thanks for watching! im just gonna leave a few notes here in case you had any more questions.
1. This method is really easy for making mesh vfx. You just have to scale the size up, and drag the slash to the bottom of the composition. Export the images of just the slash animation without polar cords.
2. PLEASE experiment, there are literally endless possibilities for making these slashes. You can make them as stylized or realistic as you want. You can even do things like create custom fractal layers and use stencil alpha to create some really awesome effects.

i was able to make a flipbook slash but the problem with the mesh slash is that the slash part doesn't turn invisible and idk what to do about that

​@@red_ice4912 hey so all you need to do is keyframe the transparency of the slash in ae. I kinnda forgot to go over that part as it wasnt a "mesh" guide. However, simply make sure your last frame of your animation is completely gone, as when you make it a mesh it needs to be a complete animation with the transparency. Hopefully that helps!!

Maybe I'm a dumbdumb, but how do I make them curve like different angles instead of of a circle afterwards or in the making?
Should I just not use Polar Coordinates and key frame them the directions I desire? Thanks for the tutorial.
