How great to see a special edition of this beautifull breed. We fell in love immediatly with this breed. Now we are the proud owners of 4 Frederiksborg horses. 1 buickskin, also in the video and her offspring darkbrown mare, Isabelle gelding and this years new arrival totaly brown mare filly. Next year we also hope to welcome 2 new frederiksborgers to be born out of our buickskin (yellow) and darkbrown mare.

No we live in hungaria and moved from the Netherlands where we bought our first frederiksborger Moravita’s Coloratura (yellow) and bred 3 different colours out of her. Next year it will be a a surprise what she and her darkbrown daughter will bring in the world. We uses the stallion karikabas Edison for this season since he was available in the Netherlands and we allready this year had a filly from Epona’s staccato.

Theres an old story about the first Frederiksborg horse, is that an emergency ride from Copenhagen castle to Frederigsborg, castle, was on that horse breed and it was so fast that the king fell in love with it and started breeding the breed :)

There is a suppleness to this breed that I haven't noticed in other breeds... definitely a very royal bearing! :D They seem like an absolute joy to ride!

Absolutely beautiful. Very shiny. He was perfect. I have no favorite thing about him or I should say everything was a favorite thing. If I could have a barn full of every horse that is out there I would. They are all worth it to me.

I get emotional just watching you visit with all these horses and get to know them …you are so enthusiastic and such a wonderful person and sit so beautiful in the saddle.

so I'm Swedish and my dream horse is a Fredriksborg for some reason x) they seem so majestic and kind at the same time. I also don't want to be too worried about when a horse is gonna act out but I just want a pretty, nice and rideable horse to be my buddy lol

I always liked horses ,but growing in N.Y.C the only horses I came across were police horses and those that worked as hamsom cads in Central Park. But it was movies like the black stallion and others that kept my love and interest for them. Loving what you're doing in educating us on the many breeds and history of horses..thank you

Such lovely elegant lines! He looks to be just the horse for the eventer. Uphill, a dash of flash in his chrome, courageous but can he jump? More importantly would he love it.

Most riding horses and ponies are Warmbloods.

That hist, horse is very beautiful. But they can't breed with him for her horses, because he's family. Does they do insemination or the natural way? To hold a stallion together with the mares is sometimes dificult, in the time they are in heat.😮
This very young stallion was very calm and easy to ride.😊

People can ride on both mares and stallions.
My Mom told me that women cannot ride stallions. I learned many years ago that this notion is a bunch of nonsense!
@@Cricket2731I wonder if it had to do with some stallions being stupid sometimes around a woman who's menstruating, and people didn't talk openly about bodily functions so weren't open about why a stallion might act a certain way around a woman at times.
Or likely it was just old fashioned male chauvinism that made men not want to admit that a female was capable of working with a powerful animal.
