That sounds about right. Then inflate the price greatly because it’ll come with another kill team no 40k player cares about, and presto. $150 assault terminator boxes
Not a Boomer but would love it anyway. I was honestly praying to the chaosgods for this exact thing to be the the Gallowfall loadout. Such a wasted opportunity to give us the Space Hulk Battle we deserve
@@marcocardoso8745agree, there’s so many wasted opportunities with Kill Team.. I was excited about the Octarious theatre but they moved away from it after the starter box! Into the Dark was prime setting for New Terminators vs. New Genestealers, again the new season of KillTeam could have had New Scouts vs. New Stealers but we get Eldar instead.. Hoping for a Catachan vs. Stealer jungle box!
@@Modge17 yeah. It seems Like the Design Team seems to have great ideas (and frankly some of those would be Money printing nobrainers) but then the product development and lore editors come in and say "yeah, that's great but actually you can't use it right now because it collides with our Release schedule for faction XYZ" and noone stops them because obviously Sales of those boxes are extremely solid. Catachan and Stealers would be neat, but unsure how Beta Decima develops. I would be down for it any day of the week.
The fact you got Corvus Corax's name right the first time, and corrected it to be wrong, tells you how much effort 1980s GW put into most the Primarch's names 😆
I want to say I've been binge watching your videos while painting Leman Russ (scary) and they have not only kept me from burning out, but you really make me want to take this hobby to the next level. Im around a year into the hobby.
Talia Vedra, The Cities of Sigmar general on the manticore was my Mini of the Year. But Harbenger of Decay, Norm Emissary and the Slaves to Darkness Chosen are right at her heals.
When you get to episode 150 of Models and Memories Weekly, will there be a compilation of Jay's "how" bits? I was really hoping that the 100th episode was going to feature a best-of "HOW" segment. Opportunity missed in my opinion... 😋
the terminator on the ruler is just from the launch of 10th, opposite side of image was a nid. if the ruler is double sided im guessing there will be a nid on it.
Out of all the "Jay, you upload three videos a week. How?!" I still think back to the one from, 'Games Workshop Actually Tried? New Plastic Kits!!!'. The tone, the execution, the face; it has it all.
My vote was for the lion as mini of the year, he’s just so damn regal and the pose they chose is the” cool guys don’t look at explosions” walk away and that just had me
Would have been better with any other pose than that. It just looks like GW rushed it out the door. In fact, Jay if you're reading thing this I challenge you to repose Lion 'El Johnson. I know I will try with mine reposed, if not get it specially 3D printed (copyright be damned).
Deathleaper, Angron and the Harbinger of Decay were my top three (in no particular order). A lot of people think Angron is too generic bloodthirster, but honestly he's by far the most far gone daemon primarch and has details showing of his pre daemon look, so I like him a lot. Also 1d4Chan isn't dead, rn it's down but it's usually just set to not show in search engines, mainly in the words of the mods to "not scare off children with 4chan sperg-posting"
I have a suggestion for a possible Sabe paint fix, it seems on the right side of the face (her right) the mouth smirk, the eyebrow and cheek dot need to be brought an inch at most (relative to her size) towards the center-line of her face. her left side looks great. But also just want to say i enjoy your videos and kit-bashing skills, I learn a ton just watching and often get inspired to work on my kit-bashing/painting. Thank you for what you do
Hey Jay!!!, I have a idea for you, seeing that Space Marine 2 is releasing this year and Henry Cavil is getting a 40k Movie or Series, I think allot of people are going to be tempted to try painting minis, i know you have some guides, but you have grown allot since then, and some top quality Beginners Guide To 40K Mini Painting will help allot, Like the tools needed, most needed paints and so on!!! Love the Vids Keep them up!!
My miniature of the year is genuinely just the new Seraphon Saurus warriors. I know they're really too simple to win the miniature of the year but they genuinely feel perfect for what they need to be.
The measuring tool doesn't have the kill team measurments on it. It's just a tool for their bigger games like the one they came out with in 40k 8th edition.
I really liked the new death leaper. Really, all the new nids, even the re-sculpted ones were AMAZING, right down to the gaunts. I wanted a Tyranid army as my second when I played in 5th edition, but life happened and took me out of the hobby until the end of 9th. I've been playing again for about a year now, with all new models. I am focusing on my blood angels again, but I do have 1k pts worth of Tyranids (I got leviathan box for my birthday, plus a swarmlord) and 4k worth of my blood angels. Got more grey plastic than I'd like, but it's really hard to paint still since I'm not fully healed, and can't afford to both buy and pay to have my models painted. Although, I am looking for someone who would give a disabled veteran a discount, but I still feel like I need to pay them at least enough to be fair, and honestly, I'm kinda hoping I do heal enough to paint them myself. I am painting what I can when I can, but I'm slow at painting, so I don't get very far before my pain levels are just too much.
My pick for mini of the year was the new Beastlord for my Beasts of Chaos. Partially because it was badass, but also because it was the only love shown to my BoC all year, so...
My man, if you want to know whether you are able to re-paint that face or not, make a quick one sided cast of it with blue stuff, stamp it on some green stuff and make all the tests you need. It's not like you need to cast the entire model or even a portion with significant overhangs.
I think it’s a beak. I am piece building a tau combat patrol because of that anniversary tau store model and the Killteam pathfinders. Thanks gents. Fantastic as always!!!
So there is a rumour going around that T'au are getting a Kroot focused box when the Codex comes out. I have built up a T'au army this winter but I have so far 0 Kroot and would very much welcome this.
For model of the year I picked the gondor ruins terrain, technically not a model but its such a fun kit which can made into any style I love it, for aos, warcry and dnd etc its so fun
I think you’re not seeing very man lion el Johnson’s compared to guillaman mortarion or magnus because he was so ridiculously hard to get. Likely for the caliber of this character it’s kinda shocking. I think I’ve only ever seen one on shelves. That’s not even counting the weird limited release he launched with
Genuinely cant remember what i voted for, Ushoran wasnt eligible since he's not released yet but he's my pick for 2024 anyway. I'd probably have to say Tahlia Vedra or Deathleaper
Lion was definitely the right winner, that model is one of the best of any era, ever made. I started it in the early 90s, and generally dislike a lot of newer ones. Him though? That deserves to be in "best of all time" tiers alongside the Green Knight, and the 2nd release of Archaon in WFB 7th ed.
I was annoyed we got scouts and more elves when we still have compendium teams not being updated. So if they are going to make people wait for nids ( I really think they are) then last box of the season should be Nids vs Termies. I would like more non guard/elves/space marine teams though.
That model of the year must have been fudged. There were so many good models and this is just a fancy space marine. There was a Kharadron with his own model Ironclad, why did that not win? He's our people! (I think I voted Harbinger)
If they give us terminators they must also give us tyranids, or the whole thing means nothing! People were saying we’d never get nids as a bespoke team because you can’t do specialists as easily, but with the change in approach we’ve seen with Scouts & Khaine? Maybe it’s time!
Idk how well it’ll work, but I’m gonna run terminators as proxies for Heavy Intercessors. Probably will fail horribly but I really, really want to do a space hulk game
Though it's clunky to SAY the symbols, they do actually make for good rules. You can spot them on the page a mile off, because they are not alphanumerics, and that means you can skim and read rules slightly easier. IMO.
i want her for my tau army, i think shadowsun and farsight are their more recent releases and reimagining? the kill team tau look amazing. Tau are my main army and what brought me into 40k i want more love for them.
I voted for Farsight because I like well designed mech, but I was expecting Norn Emissary, Deathleaper or Angron to win. Like you said, Lion looks great, but is it top 3 contender? I am not sure...

It would be a cool video to see you clean her face, and redo it without repainting the whole model.
Forget Terminators, I want Kill Team Knights where your Kill Team has only 2 operatives: Left Leg and Right Leg.
a single heavy stubber glued to some Armiger legs haha
Just YES.
Unironically kind of a neet idea.
Left leg has cover, but the right leg does not. This is the tap dancing knight
I've maintained that a knight killteam is one big chainsword arm that moves around like a killer motor bike
Maybe that's how they'll release Assault Terminators - as a Kill Team?
That sounds about right. Then inflate the price greatly because it’ll come with another kill team no 40k player cares about, and presto. $150 assault terminator boxes
nids dont have a kill team, do a double box with blood angels termies and genestealers to get the boomers hyped
Not a Boomer but would love it anyway. I was honestly praying to the chaosgods for this exact thing to be the the Gallowfall loadout. Such a wasted opportunity to give us the Space Hulk Battle we deserve

I'm a 40k man to my core, but Tahlia Vedra was my model of the year this year, it's gorgeous
Talia Vedra, The Cities of Sigmar general on the manticore was my Mini of the Year. But Harbenger of Decay, Norm Emissary and the Slaves to Darkness Chosen are right at her heals.
A surprise to be sure but a welcomed one! Terminators in kill team could be awesome!
Just give me zone mortalus 😭
Khorne Berserkers are my mini of the year, I painted like 30 of them and never got bored. After finishing each one I just fell in love again and again
Harbinger of Decay is one of the best models in all of the Citadel miniatures ranges

Terminators sound rad, but please GW just give me my bespoke Death Guard kill team!

Norn Emissary if he didn't have that hand posing, so probably screamer-killer ?
Bring back the Zoat.
Edited.
I think everyone's missing the point of this video and that is showcasing the phenomenal job on painting Amidala's face. Amazing work.

the deathwing and inner circle model announcements making me want to go to Dark Angels again

Still think the death leaper is the best mini of the year. Outstanding model
I voted for the lictor. Might not be as cool looking, but it gets massive posability points.
@@thekraden04that weird skin cape is just perfection though
Reminder for battle tech, I'd love to see some house Davion or clan wolf mechs
While I'm definitely biased toward bugs, any of the new Tyranid models would have been a better pick😁
My newborn is learning a LOT about your painting and wargaming experiences of the week. Great vid Jay!
i honestly think it’s just a terminator because that’s what the 10th edition cover art is

Mini of the Year: klonk! The anvil squig.
The ork that Came with him in the box was also really cool. ❤
The mounted Kroot are just a continuation of all the other mounted kill team models they've been releasing.

That amedala is outrageous, such a good paint job
The paint job was gorgeous. But then he said The Phantom Menace was his favorite Star Wars movie, and I lost all respect for him. 😂
Terminators versus a bespoke stealth based Tyranid team. Lictors, Neurolictor, leapers, Genestealers. Something like 6-10 operatives.
Nobody is talking about the dice tray art. Terminators vs. ??? Weird Aeldari??? Getting hyped for Termies indeed!
I really liked the new death leaper.

I can imagine an actual live stufio audience going bananas when Jay says “how” at the beginning. I do from home every week frfr
The imagine is the same one on the leviathan rule book. It’s probably going to be the space marine icon for 10th like the bladeguard captain for 9th.
Blood angel terminators would make sense because the warhammer 40k pin is blood angels so that would be really good plus it would be easy
I think it’s a beak. I am piece building a tau combat patrol because of that anniversary tau store model and the Killteam pathfinders. Thanks gents. Fantastic as always!!!
To hell with Jion J Jamerson and Angry Ron, justice for Klonk!
How is yet another Space Marine mini of the year?
It's a fancy Space Marine!

T'au lady carries a Kill Team measuring tool too
Deathleaper or belthanos would have been my picks for model of the year

A little thing that might help you with Padme´s face.....she didn´t have white makeup. only the double
As a good Boy I have to pick the new Boss Snikrod!❤
I voted Norn Emmisary for model of the year. Got it as a birthday gift so I’m quite biased
My mini of the year vote? The Lion (duh).
i haven't played Tau since 5th (and then i always ran battlesuit heavy mont'ka), but i'd still love that Ethereal..
i want Tau Melee, Energy Swords and Energy Shields that look kinda like the Knight Lancer's shield.

A Tau kill team with not a single blue boy, but 1 or 2 of a bunch of different alien species allied with Tau
I bought Kill Team Octarius, because it's brilliant! But I won't buy another Kill Team unless or until there's a box of Terminators vs Gene Stealers.
I don't think it's a Kill Team measuring tool, I think it's just a basic measuring widget like they've done for AoS and 40k in the past.
My pick for MOTY '23 was the Gromas Gitz.
I wanted to pick the Gorger Mawpack, but they weren't on the list!
I was most excited about the Queen Amidala. I’ve got one to paint up for the new year 🎉. I plan to poor all my effort into those minis.
12:00 "Wanna know how I got these scars?"
Mini of the year: Klonk the anvil squig
Mini of the year was Cyber Mastiff, hes a good boy
New Screamer-Killer for me! It is fire!
i voted for norn emissary, it was everything i wanted from a tyranid kaiju
They should combo the terminator kill team as assault terminators

There was a Kharadron with his own model Ironclad, why did that not win? He's our people! (I think I voted Harbinger)
How about make it chaos terminators just so its not space marines. Ive always like the chaos terminators overall look better tbh
Mini of the year for me was Vashtorr
Im calling space marines vs tyranids kill team box at the end of the year, releasing alongside space marine 2
I’m with j man phantom menace was a top tier starwars movie
I'm still holding out hope for a "How?" Magacut.
Terminators would bring me back to kill team for sure
GW model of the year should be thonk the anvil squig.
You can do a sith amidala with the second padme
Mine made 3rd, Supernova Commander Farsight.
You have the smirk going in the same direction, you should do the eyebrow on the opposite side of the smile half of the mouth
I love the playstation button sword on the Tau

I can't get past the Tau model having the Spear of Playstation. I can't unsee it.
I swear if they release a space marine terminator kill team before we get updated assault terminators..... lol.
I did vote for Lion. I think it is a great miniture.
Good eye on the terminator. I agree with you. It's happening.
I really want that new T'au model, but I'm no where near a store. Any good ideas on how to get one? Just eBay?
Vashtorr was the only correct option for model of the year
