Been to NY but never NYC, despite 1 of my bff's entire family being from Brooklyn, I just get this horrible feeling that I'd have panic attacks & feel like I can't be alone in a city so populous, like claustrophobia. Which is crazy, bc I live in downtown in 1 of the largest cities in my state, lived near Houston, lived right outside of New Orleans, AND I LOVED all the times I lived in Chicago, which was several mos during various yrs from 5yo-18yo bc Chicago was the only state close to the East Coast w/surgeons that could rebuild a kid's ribcage back in the day (90s), & I had to live close to the hospital after each surgery, so my mom & I would walk all over the city just to get out of the hospital & hotels. I love going back to Chicago, & I'm sure I'll hit up NYC sometime in this life. Btw: I absolutely envy dancers & breaking is such a fun sport to spectate; we had a whole clique of skater kids, like myself, in hs that tried to be bboys/bgirls but never had any teachers, plus no 1 wanted to let me participate w/a thorax made of metal. I still love dancing on my feet, I do it every flipping day & won't stop til I either break a hip or die trying. ✌ & Much love to u & your bro!!
