( 3:37 ) "Your life's probably already complicated because you're watching this tutorial"
That's a mood, Gabriella.
musics too loud but nice taste :D i recommend to turn it down a little for the next tut so its just background music.
Especially shortly after 17:50 music needs to be turned down by ~95% before that by at least ~50% -- Edit: ahhh it stopped right after setting in.
If you have an audio software program, you can add a compressor to the music track and sidechain the music with the track of your voice. That way you get a radio kind of effect so the music automatically lowers when you talk.
9:37 That is one cluttered desktop.
Very helpful video!
Hahaha yes you got me!
Glad you liked it, more useful tutorials to come

dude you are overflowing with vitality and joy haha absolutely uplifting
I was actually listening to an alpha wave playlist while following this tutorial. Didn't even notice your video has background music until i scrolled to the comment section lol
There's so much to unpack here! I'll be learning from this tutorial for weeks! Thank you!
Hey man, I left a sub and I love how you label everything you do, it makes it easier to follow steps, great job!
Thnk you soo much!
Tutorial is nice but that background music makes it hard to understand
Beautiful. Absolutely gobsmacking.
HDRI Haven is now Poly Haven. The image can be downloaded from here: polyhaven.com/a/kiara_3_morning
Thank you!
Does a thing...
Beautiful.
Incredible works. You are inspring me to learn the 3d, very clear instructions
I love the mysterious ethereal music.

Thanks for the video btw. It's great!
You should've just put the texture in desc
Top video. Professionally done. Going to take me a few days to work through this.
Brilliant tutorial man, never thought of adjusting the gamma and exposure before but it works wonders. Thanks!
So you made a tutorial but you don't provide the textures? Or at the very least a similar texture?
Yes
@@karamkattan729 genius
so you're too lazy to search by yourself? Should he start your blender apllication too?
@@SuperIceteapeach If he's doing a tutorial he should provide us with textures so we can get the same results. It's not about being lazy you clown

Just letting you know this helping us in future too... Thanks man
Astonishing tutorial! Very clear and easy to understand. Where did you get your textures from?
How do we find the ground image
This is great. You're funny and straight to the point, and you clearly have a love and respect for the craft which gets me all into it again. Here's some unsolicited advice if you want some feedback; cut the music entirely or at least lower it's volume. Other than that, great job man!!
Thank you! Much appreciated! I'll lower or have no music next tutorial!
Really nice. I'll use this method to make my ground looks as real as yours. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
lol i love the energy, LETS DO IT, dude like com'on don't ever stop that lol i like that lmao such an awesome person !
Great video but where can i get the texture
can i have the texture, sir?
how can i find the textures used here please, the image the bumb image? , thanks
same question
The HDRI Link is down :(
Awesome tutorial man! Thanks for sharing!
The HDRI file is no longer there
The texture didnt come with a Bump node image
same, you got a solution?
Music too loud and some shortcuts you don't explain. But that's a great tutorial! Good job!
Beautiful. Gorgeous. Gobsmacking)
Thank you so much for making this, exactly what I was looking for. Question though, what if you want to add patches now of another texture. Is it possible to paint it on top of this repeating pattern?
I like you're magic words, magic man
Why not connect the bump map to the displacement of the material output? This is creating so much extra geometry when the displacement could happen at render time instead
Nice tut, thanks! Could you link to the texture? Also, the HDRI is expired. Also, maybe bring the music levels down.. bit distractingly loud because it competes with your voice.
hi bro, how is it? did you find the link to the texture referred in the video? could you let me know whether you found it or not?
We need the textures
step 1: get out of home and get straight to a forest and take a pic of the floor
step 2: get back to home
DONE!
Thanks Bro. Helped a lot to setup my scene.
Pure gold
The music was on point. I have trouble focusing and it helped me a lot. Thanks and keep up the great work!
i really want to try this but i dont know where to get the image and textures from

incredible! pls no music next time, too loud
Great tutorial!!
But,aren't there link to textures?
yea
Get them from HDRI haven
@@tarunviegas8481 but there isn't the ground texture, only the hdr
Wdym? there are textures, you go to the textures tab, find your texture and download the whole zip.
They look like hdrs when previewed but they're not.
cc0textures.com has rlly good free ones and you can get 8k
what a map u have why i dont have bump map but only normal and displacement in google
sorry I don’t understand??
@@hypemars the guy is saying that he doesn't have a bump map because most places you get your texture, normal, displacement and roughness maps
@@ZBlade952 ok well null it depends on where you get your maps and you don’t need a bump map it just looks better
You got yourself a subscriber 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
for blender tutorials no music , people want to hear what your saying
great tutorial!
Would be nice to have textures. Music is to loud and I do not like it.
Why did You put bump map into displacement modifier as a texture instead of bump node in shader editor? I guess this should be called a displacement map not a bump map? As it really displace the surface via meodifier. Is this a special kind of map or just standard bump map which You have used that way
? Also how did the 1st main displacement work if You had turned off the 1st subdev? Strange, no geometry to displace.
nice tutorial help alot ......thanks only 1 advice keep your background music low its disturbing alot in some places
Let's DO it!
Nice music video, the background voice is distracting tho
You should check tutorial on micro displacement in cycle because it avoids having to deal with a really high poly ground plane you need to have to be able to properly render the small displacement from your bump texture and it is more simple to setup.
Thank you very nice I like it! Very helpful 🙂
😟
at 5:45 how are you changing the scale?
"S" button
"Dosent look like ground, looks like shit" oh man nice. Great video keep it up 😁
how can i download the textures
Can't follow when I don't have the textures. People linking some that are clearly different and lack the .bmp component as far as I can tell. Others are claiming people are too lazy to search. Nah, I did search.
can i get the texture??

HELLO! can you actually link the textures used?
also the hdri link doesnt work
how much you did say beautiful
I did it step by step but with other textures. When I set the second displacement it gets so fucked up. No cares about subdivisions or smooth, it looks like shit. Anyone knows? I use displacement map in displace but maybe i have to use normals?
How can we download the textures ?

My guy, why is the music so loud?
How long have you been using blender?
How to blast pc
next time upload the tutorial files used as well.
so if there's no (bump) but instead a (height) you cannot do it this way... Idk if 2.82 is different but you can't follow this tutorial. Unfortunate
I think you can throw most height maps right into the Height input on a bump node. It should attempt to make it look as though the light is interacting with a differently angled face, without actually changing the geometry.
Allen Simpson yes but then you can’t get low angles at all

how did you do bump?
can you give me textures from lesson ?
Where is the texture?

nvm
its crtl T
I don't hate the music but I'd tone it down about 20%.
I have triangles in my shadows.
Come to think of it, my bump mapping resulted in spikes instead of smooth bumps.
I wonder why....
mine is the exact same way. Awful tutorial
Normal and bump maps can have weird effects if their strength is too high, but you probably don't have enough subdivision to achieve this result. In fact, you've found the true weakness of this tutorial. You can see he's generated a mesh with 4 million verts (at a cost of 4GB of system memory) for one square meter of ground. He doesn't mention adaptive subdivision which would somewhat solve the problem.
This is not to say that this tutorial won't teach you something, but you're probably not going to be generating a landscape for your scene using this method without some significant changes.
Allen Simpson you right need any geometry for your plane negate adaptive sub creates it for you. After working with blender the last few weeks, this tutorial is kinda obsolete
jeez the background music is louder than you are im just trying to follow the tutorial
