58 y/o female 118 lbs, with arthritis in right index finger and thumb, never used a chain saw before. Taking it slow. Because of this video I was able to successfully setup and use the chainsaw. It's the perfect tool for the job at hand, cutting downed branches and buckthorn into manageable pieces. Thanks for giving me the confidence!
This was the best instructional video I have ever seen. Everything was explained and explained well. Everything was demonstrated. The person spoke clearly and calmly and knew the product inside and out and was able to address all issues and questions one could possibly have. Brilliant. Thank you so much.
I received this chainsaw a month ago. Very light and works like a dream. I’m impressed with the battery, I have cut with this on two occasions and still had a full charge on battery. I had a 14 inch Stihl that I couldn’t start being female with a bad left arm. It is also ecology friendly. Wish it had come out long ago. “ It is Perfect for Me”!
i bought this masterpiece and now my work of cutting trees is so much easier. Highly recommended. It´s soft and easy going. You only have to put some oil, charge the battery, cleaning after using it, and sharpen the chains when the cuts gets slow.
Thank you so much for your review. I bought this model today and wasn't sure about the type of oil to use. A practical demonstration is so much better than wading through an instruction booklet, so your help is very much appreciated.
Brent! This is a great review. I need a chainsaw from time to time, but don't use one consistently. What I'm trying to say is I need a lot of instruction. Your attention to detail was exactly what I needed. I love this little saw...just right for me. And no pull cord!
Hey question for you, how do you adjust the chain oil output? My saw is using an excessive amount of oil but I can't seem to figure out how to adjust it or if it's adjustable at all. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
They are not adjustable unfortunately but when you are done cutting you should set the saw on its side and open the oil cap to relieve pressure and then leave it on its side and this will usually keep it from pouring out oil when sitting. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Yes, it is like all gas chainsaw. The trigger still functions as a normal throttle. The harder you push down the faster the chain turns. Does this answer your question?
THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT CLASS YOU GAVE US ....I LEARNED ABOUT HOW TO TIGHTEN THE CHAIN AND MUCH MORE.... GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING US WOMEN TO USE THIS WONDERFUL EQUIPMENT. I LIKE THE BRAND . MADE IN GERMANY 🇩🇪 NOT IN CHINA 🇨🇳 COMMUNIST.....😷
I have not personally used the MS 140, but according to specs it is supposed to have a longer run time by 10 minutes and uses an AK30 battery instead of the AK20. Hopefully sometime soon we can do a review over the MSA 140 to see how they compare.
brought a stihl lasted 3 batterys and took it back for a refund it keept cutting out after about 3 min use brout a makita brushless saw no problems at all
Compliments to your camera person- first rate!. Steady hand and timed the framing with what you are saying nicely.. Zooming to much, to quickly can make one sea sick

Very good step by step guide for novices such as me. I have never used a chainsaw before and this has eased my apprehension.
That's awesome and I'm glad I could help! Thanks for watching!

Right on! Great choice!

@@WesternEquipment Thanks for the reply, hopefully that'll help. Couldn't find any info whatsoever online so I really appreciate the response.
Use cheap vegetable oil.
Very well done. I'm sold!

Thank you!
Are they brushless motor?
Yes they are.
Awesome review with great attention to the small details. Nicely done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks but it would have been good to see it actually at work.
Stay tuned for another live demo!
Does it has variable speed trigger?
Yes, it is like all gas chainsaw. The trigger still functions as a normal throttle. The harder you push down the faster the chain turns. Does this answer your question?

Hi nice video, is there much difference in power (torque) between MSA 120 and MSA 140?
I have not personally used the MS 140, but according to specs it is supposed to have a longer run time by 10 minutes and uses an AK30 battery instead of the AK20. Hopefully sometime soon we can do a review over the MSA 140 to see how they compare.
The MSA 140 along with having a bigger battery, also has 20% more torque than the MSA 120.
Mine worked great for 30 minutes. Seems chain brake is stuck.
Were you ever able to get it free?
@@WesternEquipment I did thank you! I opened up the side and cleared some debris.

Dang, I hate to hear of your bad luck with the Stihl. Thanks for watching!
i know this video is a few years old, but how much does this saw cost today
I believe it is right around $300 for the saw, battery, and charger.
@@WesternEquipment ok, thank-you
well that was more of a instructional tutorial than a review,
Well I hope it was helpful. Thanks for watching!

Thank you, I will make sure he gets the praise he deserves!
Great video! Thanks!!!
Thank you for watching!
Good video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Was that Adam Calhoun intro song?
Haha yes it was. Good catch and thanks for watching!
I love all those cats Adam, Upchurch, Demun, etc.
Didn't really see a review, looked more like a how to video
This was made early on in our UA-cam venture. Hopefully I can get a true review out in the future.
Ego more faster and powerful.. And longer battery
I am always open to hearing feedback on other brands. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Usually you need a tool to put your nuts back on!!! LMAO
Exactly! HAHA!
that is good saw less pain in my ears
We like it too for that reason! Thanks for watching!
So your not going to put the saw into use ? 🤣
There is a separate video for the operation of the saw. Thanks for watching!
Whole lot of plastic on that saw.
This is true but on most saws there is a bunch of plastic or composite. It is good stuff that isn't easy to tear up. Thanks for watching!
Just like my cell phone... I don't need this piece of shit. You do everything but cut wood.... what kind of review is that
We have video of me cutting multiple trees. Check it out and then let me know what you think!
Where’s the review dude. Useless
We have a live cutting demo for this saw on our channel. Check it out!
