  • In this video I use 3 Ap300s Batteries to see how much wood we can get through compared to using an AR2000 backpack battery, which has a similar capacity to 3 AP300s batteries.

    I have the 220 C myself, running it on the 300-S battery, it is an impressive little saw. I cut through some 16" white Oak with it, yes it will bog down if you try to go too fast, but with a little restraint, it eats through the log very quickly on its own. It seemed to be in the same league as my 455 Husqvarna (3.5 hp), and is easier to deal with too. I am a fan, Stihl seems to build a good quality product.

      If you are like me just a homeowner you going to end up with same situation has I am, the 220C was the first one I buy, but for homeowner you just need the 161T and the MSA300. Now be ware the MSA300 is very very powerful but for full power you need the AP500 and go slow on it or you be out of battery short, in my experience the battery is not up to the saw I hope stihl come up with a better battery.

    Love the video and the chainsaw.
    If I was lucky enough to be in a position similar to yours I would get an all electric quad bike from Eco Charger ATV in Devon.
    It's a 72 volt quad with a riding range of about 25-30 miles dependent on terrain and driving style/towing etc.
    I would then get a 72 to 220 volt inverter so I could charge the chainsaw batteries, off the quad's batteries, whilst still out in the woods or wherever I was.
    Same goes for all the all electric equipment I would like to use.
    I would also go for Solar PV panels so I could be totally fossil fuel free even from the grid.

    They should make the back pack battery just a module to load the AP batteries into. That way you can slide two or 3 of those in, control the weight or take them out so there is not a cord for applications that the cord gets in the way of.

      To get the full potential from this saw - you definitely need to be using the AP300s battery. It does not get full power from an AP300 battery - Hope this is helpful 👍

    Where did you see the information about a difference in power between the 300s and any other stihl battery? I can only see the same voltage and different capacity? Is Stihl hiding something from me?

    • @santerixdxd
      @santerixdxd 2 роки тому +1

      Stihl don’t publish the power outputs of the batteries,but the 300s has definetly more power than the 300 for example.
