Thank you SO much. So well shown and explained. It took about 8 minutes once I got started. Now I will see if that is the answer to my defrost problem.

Is the thermostat a different part, or are they combined in this part? Great instructional video.

I have the same refrigerator. I noticed a lot of water gathering under the crispers. Do you have a video that suggests how to solve that problem?

Hi, i have a maytag frididge/freezer model number GT1626BAS, i removed the faulty timer but i forgot to mark the 4 wires, do you have a picture showing the 4 wires order, the timer located in the back of fridge and doesn't have a plug to reinstall in the right order, but ih has just 4 wires, if you can email me the 4 wires location in that timer , i have blue, yellow , white and purple, so which one goes to number 1,2,3 and 4? thank you in advance.

We cannot locate a wiring diagram for this model. However, there should be one contained in a plastic packet near the compressor area or in the main control panel.

Being a tad older my memory is not as grand as it was when younger, good thing I am retired and no longer a programmer.
I use my cell phone to take pictures. I dislike having disposable appliances. Once repaired they usually last another twenty 20 years. On most there is a necessary part which will fail between 5 & 7 years, the cost is under $10.00 in most cases plus your labor and knowledge increase.
      Have fun y'all.
