I'm glad you posted this video. I'm building three bikes now, one for my 11 year old, and I didn't order one battery pack yet because I wanted to see these things in a video first. Thanks!
Can't wait to see it in action. My mom came in to San Diego to visit from Arkansas this week and we took the ebikes all the way up the Silver Strand in Coronado and back. She can't wait to get her own when she flies back. I ordered a 5000w kit and 72v triangle battery of aliexpress last week and hopefully it will get here by the end of the month.
Yeah those apartments are crazy small! All of them down that street are all the same! Lived in 3 of those units for a total of almost 10 years combined!
@@E-bikeguy actually I just ordered Samsung 40t 21700 cells from 18650battery . I'm going to build a pack 20s5p. 35 amps per cell x 5 = 175 continuous amps. They're rated to 40 amps fully charged. 20ah pack.
@@E-bikeguy good to hear that! I wanted a lighter battery relatively) that could pump out some amps. I'll probably put it on either 72v bike depending on what I want to do. I appreciate the videos you are making. They are real helpful and it's good to see other people doing the same stuff. We're up in Wildwood near the villages.

This is what I notice of higher voltage batteries of being bigger, heavier of every nominal increase of volts. It was final math setting of how much I can do and stick to. I only weigh a buck thirdy, aware of extreme speeds around 40mph on a bike frame. I ll just stick to this speed range and 60volt is tops for me to keeping extreme weight off my 26inch e bikes besides keeping speed range to my limit of being ok or good enough for my stature and class of e bikes.
@@E-bikeguy 😂, the wind, not the weight, lol. Wow , 60mph at 230. You must of played College Football to be e biking of ya size. Still athletic hobby of e biking. I was never into bikes or even cars before COVID Lockdown. Week after I bought factory made e bike I realized I would have to do the work on my own once problems occur. Brakes still an issue for me of fixing, flat tire replacement was a pain first time but after my second, it is now a breeze. Jus recently I had to re do my tires to insert heavy duty tubes and more durable tires on both bikes, it was kinda torture of the rear Factory E bike of the bolts and the 2 millimeter wide washers as it was not easy. Regardless working and buying parts for my bikes is ALOT better then my cars for sure of work and money spent. But back to topic, if I come across a frame with fat tires I will get 72v battery but for the e bikes I have now, I know it's best to limit certain upgrades. Feeling the weight of batteries gives me clear indicater it will be too much weight overall for type of frames of bikes along with just 2.125 wide 26 inch tires and rims. But it is obvious it is the brake systems of bikes that is most overlooked concern for getting into power speed along with additional weight, you would have to start getting a moped scooter frame or lighter motorcycles frames and brake systems. Brake system next step of making them more durable of any upgrade kits.

Not really we have a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom it's just the yard is small
I live in 200 square-foot garage that’s small😢
Hello, how’s the battery, do you mind sending me a link for it? Thanks
I got my upp 40ah battery and was surprised at the weight. 49lbs! A bit too heavy for my recumbent. Im going to use it on my trailer.
Wow it's on the heavy side but my new battery is at 40lbs
It would be a lot easier to run the cables through the frame than creating a new crossbar!
A lot nicer too
How much was the 72v40ah? I still need a battery for my 3000 watt 60amp kit
It was $579 on ail express free shipping but I'll rather pay for air shipping do you need the link?

Lol yeah I'm also 6.7 tall
Being light is a heavy advantage with ebikes 😉 I'm 142
get a dress for your bike and tuck it in beside you at night
