Uh, yes, which is why I _didn't_ say it was an electric pitch. Hello there, grammar usage. (Point being that sparks are normally associated with electrical discharges, so hello there too Mister Pedantic.)
+BronxBomber42 That moment when Jaoquin benoit pitches so hard he makes sparks fly off of the mask XD oh and I like the song at the end. I love Ashes Remain
your videos are truly an outstanding compendium of all things baseball. How many people are involved in making these? They could not possibly be made by one man. Regardless, thank you for providing this exceptional content. Well done.
Alex Avila took more of a beating in a Tigers uniform than anyone else I've ever seen. The fact he's still playing with the amount of concussions he must have is nothing short of a miracle.
I agree, that season he got hit so many times...but if you are a fellow tiger fan like me, then maybe you know where avila is playing now, did they trade him or is he In the minors cause he's not on the roster and hasn't been all season
well good for his daddy, only thing he has going for him is his defense, good that the white sox came out on fire to start the season but I'm betting not much of it had to do with avilas play behind the plate, hack at times even inge had a better batting average
I love the Canseco clip as it brings back great memories. I was the guy pushing the button for fireworks at home games in Cleveland. I sat in the center section of the bleachers and this happened directly in front of me. Canseco was up against the fence and I could not see what happened. If you listen closely you can hear the fireworks being shot well into the clip. The only way I knew it was a home run was watching home plate umpire giving the signal. I would have bet Canseco threw the ball over after he caught the ball. I actually had no idea how the ball got over the fence until I watched the replay on the center field camera.
+drServitis I was at that game, they just played it like nothing happened, he stayed at first. No one in the stadium even knew it had happened until you saw it on TV afterwards
I like the last video and how at the end the back catcher getting a faceful of baseball and who's ever on the DJ system at the stadium plays Ring My Bell. LOL
I live how in the final clip as they show the reply of the ball hitting the catcher's mask the song "ring my bell" plays in the background at the ballpark
Another one I'll always remember is the "magic bat." I think it was a Mets player who, after hitting the ball, threw his bat and ran toward first. The bat bounced off the dirt and came still in a PERFECT STANDING UPRIGHT POSITION perpendicular to the ground. How often do you see THAT?
Very nice video! Appreciate all the effort you put into your creations. If you ever make a second one of odd occurrences some you could put in would be Randy Johnson hitting the bird, and also there was one time I believe an outfielder ran into the outfield wall and the wall broke.
Actually, right around the time this video was made, the Cardinals were playing the Diamondbacks and Goldschmidt hit a line-drive into the outfield that actually broke the padding on the wall and embedded itself. It was hilarious.
2:22 that happened to me during baseball practice one day. I kept dropping or missing easy ground balls of pop flies. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then I looked at my glove there was butter in it
1:48 no that's not strike 3 because the mask like the rest of catcher's body is a dead ball, as soon as it hits the mask it's dead. I actually ran into this rule this season as an ump.
A recent odd occurrence would be the Torres off the leg to Daniel Murphy and back to Torres for a 1-3-1 out at first. Hope to see it if you ever make a Odd occurrence part 2.
1:48 I'm wondering the same thing. Did they count that or did the at bat continue? 3:32 Kind of lucky it didn't go through his glove twice on that play.
They did not. But I believe the rules state that the equipment can only be used for its intended purposes. For example, and outfielder can't use his hat to catch a ball. But I don't know about this case. It would be really nit picky if they did count it as an out though
was wondering can a second baseman make a putout at first. For example, in s bunt situation- if a player bunts and the first baseman goes for the ball and the second baseman is able to get to first before the pitcher ...Can the second baseman get the putout at first base? Could the first baseman be able to throw the ball to the second baseman( while the second baseman is at first) to make the putout?
seen a ball bounce up outfilders sleeve in attempt 2 retrieve nd it came out tha back of his shirt i wish i could remember the circumstance better i think it was a player on tha marlins
+TheBreadman904 Oh yeah I remember that was in 1992 season CF David Hulse. He was also playing Center Field when Canseco let the ball hit his head for a Homerun ....classic !
Bronx u missed the one bye Michael morse he hit a grand slam but the umps thought it wasn't over the fence and the umps couldn't determine whether any runners on base had passed eachother so after reviewing the play they made Michael morse swing with no bat and touch all the bases again it was very funny
So glad you don't put obnoxious background music in your videos
One of the main reasons I love this channel so much!
+koolaidman9922 Exactly!
+koolaidman9922 Pretty sure the music is used to avoid copyright infringement. So sometimes it is necessary.
Which is hilarious, because the music is why Adam Duncan's videos are blocked from mobile devices.
+koolaidman9922 I feel like you and me need to fight.....
That Joe Mauer snag was awesome.
Yeah
i agree
What about Randy Johnson hitting a bird with a pitch?
exactly what I was thinking
Yeah, I was thinking about that too
BiggySn1p3r I was just going to say that.
BiggySn1p3r I was thinking that too!
I like when he threw the glove with the ball stuck in it and the other guy caught it. That's like a real life cartoon moment.
One of my favs too!
You should do longest home run trots
YES!!!

What could possibly make sparks come off of a catchers mask when it gets hit by a baseball?
+Cory Palmer The metal guards on the mask are spot welded together and the ball broke the weld creating the sparks.
+Cory Palmer My guess? The ball hit a point where two wires were welded together and broke the weld. I bet that'd make a spark.
+Cory Palmer i think the ball broke the weld when it hit a certain spot
Greg gibson, motioning....I swear that man glows each time he does it
+Cory Palmer magic
Should've added the astros making it to the playoffs
I just couldn't stop laughing at this 😂😂
Astros are a good team
Nickalus Pye last year was a fluke
+Dylan Reddekopp theyre killing it now
Dylan Reddekopp fuck off
REALLY like the video concept - like that it's not the same play over and over again made by different players
I don't even like baseball but this account is so entertaining haha
Should I make a twitter again?
Yeah
+BronxBomber42 Follow me on Twitter @BronxBaseball42
+BronxBomber42 finally you made one
+wonderwaffle890 yeah I've been slacking lol
+BronxBomber42 haha that good cx
An electrifying pitch... Literally.
Pasonia sparks aren't created by electricity, they're created by heat...
Uh, yes, which is why I _didn't_ say it was an electric pitch. Hello there, grammar usage.
(Point being that sparks are normally associated with electrical discharges, so hello there too Mister Pedantic.)
Pasonia well, you said it was an electrifying pitch, which is the exact same thing as an electric pitch.
Pasonia also, I don't see any mistakes in my grammar. Either you don't understand what grammar is or you're just trying to annoy me.
Great video! Thanks for posting. That home run off Canseco's head never gets old, does it?
Nope. Never gets old😂
+BronxBomber42 That moment when Jaoquin benoit pitches so hard he makes sparks fly off of the mask XD oh and I like the song at the end. I love Ashes Remain
Doesn't get any better than Jose Canseco

+Drew Steele he plays for the White Sox
+Drew Steele his daddy didn't renew his contact lol
well good for his daddy, only thing he has going for him is his defense, good that the white sox came out on fire to start the season but I'm betting not much of it had to do with avilas play behind the plate, hack at times even inge had a better batting average

Well, we can finally say someone hit the cover off the ball!
+Chris Kreager I guess the play stays, or do they do it over again if the ball was faulty. Do you know?
+drServitis I was at that game, they just played it like nothing happened, he stayed at first. No one in the stadium even knew it had happened until you saw it on TV afterwards
sit ReaLM
Thanks. So that means then that if the ball falls apart it's just part of the game and no do overs. Cool that you were at the game too.
The funny part is it was a slow roller to 3rd
I like the last video and how at the end the back catcher getting a faceful of baseball and who's ever on the DJ system at the stadium plays Ring My Bell. LOL
I live how in the final clip as they show the reply of the ball hitting the catcher's mask the song "ring my bell" plays in the background at the ballpark
4:46 That guy would have been dead/a vegetable if he didn't have his mask
Just wanted to say, nice channel dude. Great videos.
Part 2! Make a part 2! This was so good
Another winner - doing us proud!
That last one with the sparks was amazing!
keep em coming man these are great.
i'd like to see a compilation of the most epic bunts ever!
The only complaint I have about this video is that it was too short!!! I wanted more! Very entertaining. Love all your videos. Thanks (go Dodgers⚾️)
One of the greatest episodes yet! Just the single suppressed laugh at 1:40 made my day xD
Ha ha the third clip is my favorite. "Let's see you do that!"
Nice bro keeo up the great. Ideas really clever videos . Need more umpire strikeout calls compilation
Very nice video! Appreciate all the effort you put into your creations. If you ever make a second one of odd occurrences some you could put in would be Randy Johnson hitting the bird, and also there was one time I believe an outfielder ran into the outfield wall and the wall broke.
That moment when your coach asks if you have a hole in your glove, and you do.
2:34 "Its stuck in his shirt... AND ITS STUCK IN HIS PANTS!".......... How will it go in his pants?? Lmao
This is by far your best video
Do you have a video on catches made by the fans?
+BuddhaBrand415 Not yet.
Would be awesome. Thanks for all the great videos btw
That would be a good one
LOL that head bounce was awesome xD
I was at the game where the cover came off the ball. It was Friday of Easter weekend 2014
Randy Johnson hitting a bird with a fast ball is a pretty odd occurrence
That last one was rediculous
Congrats on 100 thousand subscribers
Actually, right around the time this video was made, the Cardinals were playing the Diamondbacks and Goldschmidt hit a line-drive into the outfield that actually broke the padding on the wall and embedded itself. It was hilarious.
Best mlb channel right here
The first one is my favorite odd moment. Knocked the cover off the ball...backup catcher on a slow roller to 3B. Of course!
bronxbomber42 you sir are awesome at making these
4:18 most exciting commentary ever 10/4 ign
That thing joe mauer did was so sick
Whats the name of that orchestral music you put in at the end? Where you ask us to subscribe
+Omar Morales Luna ua-cam.com/video/QsQIA5y42o0/v-deo.html
It's called "On My Own" by Ashes Remain.
There was that check swing that Big Papi had that broke his bat, kinda goes with Marlon Byrd's broken bat
The Joe mauer one has to be the coolest thing I've ever seen
Great Video - but I think the Michael Morse phantom home run in 2012 belongs on the list (Nationals @ Cardinals - 1st inning).
Love your videos man, keep it up!
2:22 that happened to me during baseball practice one day. I kept dropping or missing easy ground balls of pop flies. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then I looked at my glove
there was butter in it
That catcher for Detroit, his nickname should be sparks.
1:48 no that's not strike 3 because the mask like the rest of catcher's body is a dead ball, as soon as it hits the mask it's dead. I actually ran into this rule this season as an ump.
that joe mauer play is unbelievable!
Goddamn when it hit the catchers mask it made sparks😂😂
Enjoyed this one. Thanks for posting.
Saw the El Duque throw-the-ball-in-the glove play when it happened.
I laughed so hard when the Yankees pitcher threw his glove to first base lmao
The Canseco one is never not funny to watch. I've seen it so many times but it still makes me chuckle every time it crops up in a complication :)
Keep up the amazing work. Love the vids.
4:50 That mask just paid for itself.
Hey Bronx, I was just wondering how you make your videos (How you download the clips etc.) because I want to make a Baseball UA-cam Channel.
PLEASE make more of these
Jesus, that last one sounded (and looked) like it could have knocked the catcher out.
Great Video! Love all the quirky ideas.
Thanks! Plenty more to come
Please make Odd Occurrences part 2 :)
Great video. I thought the Randy Johnson pitch hitting the bird would be in there.
Yan Gomes getting a hit is an odd occurrence itself
the clip where it get stuck in his mask is funny every time
that last was was very odd
Team Rvhx So odd
+Captain Man5 so very odd
The Golden Gibus
Yep. You know a ball is hit hard when it hits a mask and sparks.
+Captain Man5 Imagine if he hit the ball on the screws and drove it.
MetsGiantsRangersKnicksNYSports mind blown
I wonder if the JJ Putz pitch when the music goes off during his windup should be in this video.
All ur videos are great pls keep it up
A recent odd occurrence would be the Torres off the leg to Daniel Murphy and back to Torres for a 1-3-1 out at first. Hope to see it if you ever make a Odd occurrence part 2.
Great video! You should have added when that pitcher hit a bird while pitching
Randy Johnson
Should've added the Cubs making the World Series
How about dropped fly balls that changed the game? Ball boy/girl plays? Plays by fans?
Love the new video! Keep it up! You're the best!!!
Kid: "Hey, mom, I knocked the cover off the ball today."
Mother: "Really? Was it a home run?"
Kid: "Nah, it never left the infield."
Great video and great job, as always!!!
Thanks for share
THE BEST ON UA-cam HANDS DOWN!
Great channel man

Great video. How about a video of guys knees buckling on a curve ball or guys swinging so hard they fall down?
Any time Canseco was made to look like a fool was alright with me.
you'd think they would make the button layout on the uniforms a bit closer after all of this.
my coach sometimes says "do you have a hole in your glove?" this video shows it can be litteral
love this channel.
Alcides Escobar, Omar Infante or Omar Vizquel Amazing plays plssss!!!!
was wondering can a second baseman make a putout at first. For example, in s bunt situation- if a player bunts and the first baseman goes for the ball and the second baseman is able to get to first before the pitcher ...Can the second baseman get the putout at first base? Nice videos man! Keep it up!!
seen a ball bounce up outfilders sleeve in attempt 2 retrieve nd it came out tha back of his shirt i wish i could remember the circumstance better i think it was a player on tha marlins
there was a guy on the Texas Rangers, not sure how long ago this happened, but he hit 4 consecutive foul balls into the dugout to the same spot
+TheBreadman904 Oh yeah I remember that was in 1992 season CF David Hulse. He was also playing Center Field when Canseco let the ball hit his head for a Homerun ....classic !
Great job with this one
I love these videos
Outside the Stadium/Ballpark Home runs.
Here's a hint: Fenway Fenway Fenway.
+I'm so cool No I'm not PNC and AT&T would have their share, and Dodger's Stadium would have a couple
thanks Bronx for keeping ball alive year round!
*THUNK*
Ball gets caught in mans mask
*dead silence*
Burst out laughing
3:27 Phantom cam is awesome
Bronx u missed the one bye Michael morse he hit a grand slam but the umps thought it wasn't over the fence and the umps couldn't determine whether any runners on base had passed eachother so after reviewing the play they made Michael morse swing with no bat and touch all the bases again it was very funny
