Why this? Why that? .... you obviously don't get it. With great British bands like SAHB there does not have to be a reason. They just ARE AS THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE !!! They happen to have been one of the best live rock bands of all time (I've seen various versions of them 6 times) with a wonderfully weird, mind boggling cross between vaudeville, pantomime and some serious grinding rock. I've loved them since I was 13 and still do 50 years later !!!
You may never get it, SAHB, VAMBO, Glaswegian Rock Star, one of the best, never forgotten.

Alex was pure genius, a hell of a lot more to his lyrics than at first meet the eye, and a great to boot as well.
Dude, Really?!?!? A little less sarcasm and a lot more appreciation there young man!!!! Do a little back history on these lads and you'll see there is no joke here. loads of talent and a tight ass bunch they were. Could and did play any type of music exceptionally well. Just for kicks look up crazy ass Zal Clemson and listen to what that old man is tearing up recently. Self taught and owns and punishes that poor 6 string. LOL SAHB fan for life!!!!! I saw this for the first time was about 25 years ago.
I didn't get it much but this song has grown on me an I just look at it as Alex being a crazy Glaswigen.Its a Glasgow thing.
