The REO singer that we all are familiar with, Kevin Cronin, did not sing on the original studio version of this song. This live version was the only version with Kevin' vocals before an unreleased take was found with his vocal and released on an REO compilation album.

You are very correct. Early REO was VERY different from the sappy radio ballads that became hits. This is from the 70's period of the band when they still knew how to rock.

I haven't enjoyed watching anyone listen to Queen's BR as much as I had, until tonight. My heart raced when I could see the excitement building, not sure where the song was going yet taking you in all directions. Maybe the kids just need to experience the music I grew up with music from the 40's till now. Queen was, and still is, perfect for so many things and how each note can pull a different string in your body. What an experience you had and I hope you took a round trip and listened to it again. Queen was a 70s 4 person band members Freddie mercury vocals, piano, gitar. Roger Deacon bass, Brian May lead Gitar, Roger Taylor drums 😂I am 58 and I have every Queen vinyl. Freddie mercury worked for 10 years on Bohemian Rapsody. I saw Queen in 1981 with Freddie mercury. Freddie mercury had extra back teeth and refused to pull them because he was afraid it would affect his octaves. If you really want to see how good Freddie mercury was, watch the 20min session from live aid. He got 70,000 people to sings along. At live Aid. It was the best set at live Aid. Freddie mercury sadly died from Aids in the 90s he was born in zanzibar. His father did not agree with his sons life choice. Freddie had a piano as a headboard and could play it without looking at it. Freddie mercury loved cats. There is a statue of Freddie in Montreax Switzerland and it always has fresh flowers. After Freddie past away Roger Deacon Quit the band because he said he didn't want to go on without Freddie mercury. Guitarist Brian May made his own Gitar. He is a member of Mensa and an Astro physicist he does it as a hobby. He is the guy with the afro. Another great song is seven seas of rye. Who wants to live forever and save me.
