It says a LOT about Dykes for how prepared TCU was for this. First thing I thought was "Wow these guys are coached well". Flawless AND quick execution by 11 men there. So impressive.
Tcu outsmarted Baylor on the FG, they rushed and made it seem that they won’t get the kick off in Time so that Baylor doesn’t call a TO. TCU were quick, but not in a hurry.
That was pretty stupid though. What was the point of trying another rush with that little time on the clock? They luckily got stopped after a few yards, but could have easily been on his feet long enough for time to expire.
TCU doesn’t deserve the win, Baylor did but the players were betrayed by their head coach’s incompetence at his job. Hope he gets fired and never coaches a single down ever again. He is useless

They ran a whole new group on for the field goal so they were ready the whole time. If you want the ball on the right hash just run it that way on 2nd down and spike on 3rd. It worked so I'm not hating but it seems like they made it more difficult than necessary

Baylor's defense was set and ready by the snap so I'm not sure what was accomplished. Maybe it helps the kicker to snap the ball quickly so he doesn't overthink it but there's a ton of pressure either way. Obviously the guy can hit a 40 yarder no problem. Anyway it was exciting, that's for sure

Watched this game earlier. I was on the edge of my seat in the last 4 minutes. This was an absolutely insane ending. Both teams played well, but TCU managed to pull it off. Bravo
I disagree, that entire last series was very risky and awful play calling. However, it did work out in the end. Playing like that in the "playoff" against teams like Georgia, OSU, Michigan, or Alabama (all in the top 15 in defense) would NEVER work. Might work against Oregon or USC. Baylor was ranked 131st in yds against and 198th in ppg allowed. Maybe the coach figured it would work because Baylor's defense is not very good (to put it nicely)! Still, not the plays you wanna call in the last minute.

Savion Williams is like the #4 progression man. It's usually Johnston, Davis, a RB/TE, then Williams. He drops passes a bit, but he seems to get some clutch plays in when we need them. During that drive, TCU didn't have their top 2 receivers nor their top RB in.

I totally said that in a comment, that my nfl team of professionals could not pull that off, they rake a time out before FGs at home and immediately start going backward in pretty low stress situations, not your season on the line in a crazed atmosphere where the clocks ticking from 10. Just unbelievable.

About 30 years ago I remember UCLA got one off just before the end of the first half. Snap was with 1 second left and Bjorn Merten put it through. It was the 1993 game vs Washington that the Bruins ended up winning 39-25.

I actually like the play call, you have your field goal team ready to sprint onto the field and it doesn't give the other coach a chance to ice the kicker. The announcers were like "um I don't know about that call, what's going on?" And that's the genius of Sonny Dykes, he's playing Madden Football while the other teams are playing PeeWee football!
