As someone with 200 hours in the game, I wasn't expecting much helpful here, but holy hell finding out about being able to serve tables 2 squares away is a gamechanger. And I just recently discovered the value of Breadsticks in a lot of the big table runs with the thanksgiving update. Great video man, keep it up.
I feel like if you combine the 2 squares away tactic with simple tablecloths you might be able to serve lots of tables closer together for the best of both worlds. Not sure how, but I feel like there's something there
@@TheDailyEgg I experimented with that a bit and the main issue was dishes since you can't pick them up from 2 squares away and if you try to automate, its hard to do it on simple cloth tables without cutting off access to the chairs. It can work in a big enough space with teleporters but that's not helpful until very late.

However this allows access to the simple tables and you interact with the customer's back from the kitchen.
I've played a decent amount of plateup (nowhere near 300 hours though) and I never knew about any of these! Can't wait to use this knowledge in my runs
Me and my friend just got this game today and on our third run the breadsticks+reload boxes were ABSOLUTELY BROKEN. We almost won but we had some confusion with the conveyer belts( we had to alter our kitchen for auto cooking but didn't realise the difference between auto grabbers and smart grabbers)
1) Play with more experienced players - you will gain experience faster, get to play with recipes you haven't unlocked yet, get to see how they optimise their restaurants and play and they may even be willing to teach you if you ask. 2) Practice in the Practice mode available whilst on a map instead of the one available in lobby: it's easier to see and you can test out your layouts to tweak them to your liking. 3) Fish and steaks are great mains to use as learning curves. 4) Research to get a Wash Basin ASAP. Being able to stack 4 dirty plates means clearing tables faster and more time for focusing on getting customers served and out. 5) You can create an additional counter by blocking the kitchen door. It does mean that you can't go into the dining area, but with the right setup, you won't need to anyway. 6) Some items, like mandarins, can be interacted with on tables as well as counters. 7) Always research Prep Stations to Frozen Prep Stations. There is very little point to putting food in there, only for it to disappear the next day. 8) When playing with a cake restaurant, research a counter into a freezer ASAP. Not only can you prep a batch of your chosen cake for the next day, but you also get another tray of that cake type, which usually would cost you 120 coins to buy, so long as you put the tray in the Freezer. 9) Stick to the smaller maps whilst you are building up your skills. You might not fit a lot in there, but having less travelling to the customers will be more useful to you. 10) Use the Booking Desk in early stages to build up cash. Also, keep an eye when the last customer comes in because as long as the bar at the top isn't full you can get an extra call in without any more customers, so basically free money. Hope these help.
Currently on a solo ot 45 run and have 1 wash basin and 1 stack of 8 plates and always have plenty of clean plates. But if i start doing display stands ( have to find room in the restaurant) i may need another stack
Oh brother I'm like on day three of the first franchise and I've seen the sky play with like over like 50 or 60 orders at once and I don't know if I can handle this
As someone with about 1 hour of game time. I did not expect this game to be so in depth. Thanks for the tips, nowhere near level 10...yet. play solo. Game is great
Tip 2 is a trap. I've lost runs to accidentally setting a tray down in an auto bus system and the same can happen if you set down the wrong food item. To prevent this, I recommend using a dish rack and make sure you maintain access to the grabber that goes into the dish rack.
I was excited to play this game.. until I saw this video. I thought it would be like..realistic to a certain degree lol not some weird..whatever that was XD
Start playing and you'll play without the automation at first and then it's pretty realistic. Then overtime you can decide if you'd like to try to automate things!
Yeah nah see I’m just trynna chill and cook casually with no worries of designing a whole factory operation with my gf. We thought this game was that but it’s literally just a sweat type game.
this video should be how to take a game that was meant to be about having fun running a restaurant with a few friends and turning it into an automated un-fun mess.... how many restaurants in real life do you see that look or operate life this. IF you want to have fun disregard everything about this video, buy the game and just play it as if you took over a restaurant with a few friends... and have fun.
Some people actually do find fun in building their restaurant like this and automating it, or may not have friends to play the game with. Some people really like the sense of progression and added challenge in meticulously designing an automated restaurant like this. I’m not exactly one of those people, but I can understand that different people like different things, and I’m not gonna be an asshole and say that if someone plays the game like this then they’re “having fun wrong”. You are not the almighty judge of what is fun or not.
Hey all! Since the winter patch the coffee automation no longer works but the dev has confirmed this to be a bug and will be fixed by the next patch!

Awesome! I love the captions as well!
So happy to see my recipe art in your video! Thank you a bunch for using it :D

Still halfway through your gangcat stream, cant wait to finish watching as the automation looks mental. Love the content 👌

I don’t get why his kitchen is gigantic and super advanced whereas my kitchen’s always as small af without any automation..
Wow the depth and complexity really makes me enjoy this game, i love it for the same reason i love melee haha
also would you ever do a begginers guide to automation? maybe start with an easy food like burger or something? love your editing style and voice!
Glad you enjoy it! Im open to doing a beginners guide to plate up!
Short videos are very easy to watch and are a great way to get new viewers as they usually have a low attention span! Great work!
Oh man literally yesterday I was trying to figure out how to automate coffee! Thanks for the tips!
Uuuhhh unfortunately the devs made a boo boo and now you can’t auto coffee
Hopefully fixed next patch

Yeah nah see I’m just trynna chill and cook casually with no worries of designing a whole factory operation with my gf. We thought this game was that but it’s literally just a sweat type game.
