One thing I love about you is how relaxed you are. Even when the game screws you over you’re just so calm and positive about everything. You’re honestly the kind of person the younger generations need to look up to. 😊
The reason the soaking sink set up goofed is because somehow a cutting board (2:45) made it into the sink grabber section. It seems if two cutting boards are in line at the same time, the grabber will only queue to take one and let the other continue on the pathway, so it ended up in the dishes section rather than the cutting boards. Great build as always.
This is literally crazy. I just started the game 3 days ago and didn't even know that you can automate things this big. I don't even have a restaurant layout this big... But now I know what the conveyor belts are there for.. With 4 ppl that are new to this game, we got into overtime day 2 or something like that in our second round.. we thought this was insane.. now I see THIS.
Skootie, I been watching your channel ever since Plate Up! And on this one, by minute 40 you got me hooting like a guy watching Sunday NFL trying to scream to you how to arrange things. Lol. Soaking sinks using 6 90o teleporters and 3 soak sinks you'd use a 3*3 area to run it most efficiently. Moving the one set of fish, flawless, but then u didn't compress the top fish bottom right of kitchen, argh. And run preplated dishes in between 2 long tables with tele's is the goat move.
In case you need a bit more space with your teleported fish, you can rotate the portioner to despine below. This means moving the mixer below it, moving the whole bottom row 2 to the left (the teleporter one row up). The fish-source is moving down 2 and the bin can be moved to the right. This was you have 6 more spaces and the door to send the output to the kitchen or the other way around (e.g. having the other portioner +2×(grabber+bin) in there.
Also the cheeseboard can be moved to the right one square, doing so will allow you to move the apples into the top left corner. This way you can also move the teleporter to the side and have a nice big area for automation. Also you can move the mascots into the three empty spaces (between cheese and nuts; bottom right fish; trash through the door on the right) Just in case you need the space 😄 best of luck 🤞
It would be nice if there was an option to toggle the teleporter direction, like how you can switch ice cream flavors, or if there was a way to set the teleporters to only go 1 way in practice mode. Such an unfortunate way for the run to end. Although I bet Skoottie was glad to finally be free lol
in the bottom right when you had the fish being plated, you could've made it a 2x6 or 6x2 setup like this: (these abbreviations makes it easier to type out.) GB = Garbage bin TP = Teleporter CV = Conveyor CR = Corner conveyor PS = Prep station MX = Mixer PR = Portioner FB = Fish box HB = Hob (Any cooking hob, but you had safety hobs) 2x6: GB CV PR CV GB TP FB CV MX CV HB CR 6x2 is just this but rotated 90 degrees, this setup also would've let you grab the item off the teleporter if it backs up or you accidentally send something back through. you could even flip it upside down if you want it above you. that all being said, hope the next run goes even better!
The cheese board got on the coffee table because they changed how serving works a bit with the Halloween update. Now you can serve and take orders if you can reach the customer instead of just the table
Thats good intel but handing a cheeseboard to a guy sitting at a coffee table shouldn't be a thing. It's probably not a bug but its definitely an oversight.
Ever think about putting these multi-episode playthroughs into one long video and all the long videos in a playlist? I mean you could technically double-dip on content that way on top of making an excellent background playlist for the fans.
I was so worried he was gonna leave his other auto plater outside during all that rearranging and have to find a new one. Also probably would be a teensy bit faster if the auto plater was pointed towards the teleporter, so that way you have 3 fish waiting and plated, so it’s just the conveyor speed you’re waiting for
Pulling off teleported gives a chance of sending back a plate when there is not fish waiting on the other side. It’s exactly what happened to him with the cheese boards there at the end, but the fish as very often running out unlike the rather quick cheese boards. I don’t think he would’ve made it a day with that liability.
@@frozenzenberry4101 does the auto plater really work like that? It doesn’t just leave a plate on the counter when there isn’t a fish there. I’m pretty sure it only dispenses a plate when a ready meal is presented in front of it. But now if that plated fish tricks the teleporter into thinking it’s a new item and teleports it back, then that could be an issue, but I didn’t see that.
You can place on a table by clicking on a customer sitting in the chair, so you'll reach them while sitting but not when they get up. It is why you could place the Cheese Board but not pick it up after
At 55:54, it seems like you could just use one-person tables. I don't see why you wouldn't based on the card: "All groups have as many members as your largest table." So if your biggest table is 1, that means you’d end up with groups of just 1 person.
What makes this game hard is the rng. Sometimes it can destroy your run early, and it will destroy the run on late game. I was on OT 30++ and got the card where customer left food on plate (which will destroy my auto clean) or the starter (where my place mostly filled with other recipe automation)
Would having an autoplater that is being refilled pointing at the teleporter entrance allow you to just drop the cooked fish on the teleporter directly, and have it be plated when it goes through? That could save some effort of running up to the plate stack each time you pick up something and let you just slam things down.
I was yelling at my tv for an hour and a half telling you to swap the fish prep stations with the frozen coffee prep stations! The buffer would have saved you some frustration as early as Overtime Day 17 and up. Frozen cooked fish piled up from the day before, or even add another prep station to that operation in the bottom right corner in case it's spiny fish. Plus the display stand for non spiny dishes.
The cheese board got on that coffee table because a customer was sitting on the chair in between. You can hand food directly to customers and serve a table that way. I’ve tried to exploit that to let me put dining tables further away, but bussing tables becomes a problem because you depend on someone sitting there to be able to pick them up. (With autobussing that should be fine, but you still need to ensure that that specific chair is occupied, either with individual dining or that halloween card you had here.)
19:00 He didn't grabbed the Spiny, because he had 1 moment to do it, and at this moment he was changing his order from "Spiny+Chips" to "Spiny" So he was busy thinking and missed the moment to grab the Spiny
im an hour in now, and im really to my breaking point for the third soaking sink not being lined up for no reason, and skootie now for the third time saying its impossible to move it there
Maybe a concept like running sushi would be nice. So that every food is just circling around the tables. No more manual serving :D And you could just help out, were ever there is a shortage of something (be it food prepping, plate washing, etc.) :)
I see more than one upgrade/tweek to improve the system... like you don't need 4 auto bins, you really need 2 and send both partinioner to those 2 bins cause you will only have one line that requires bins at a time... you could acomplish that all in the bottom right if you just plate directly to the teleporter 4. keep the prep stations beside each other and just grab the fish a put it directly in the teleporter 4 that is autoplated. a dirty plate rack could be used instead of the smartgrabber as a filter for plates and work as a buffer so the top table does not wait long to be clean. There are other tweeks but with minimal impact on speed delivery....
Wouldn’t it make sense to switch the safety hob in the bottom corner for a normal one? There probably wouldn’t be enough of a backlog to burn, especially if whatever fish it cooks (spiny for day 25) is on the display.
You placed the cheese board on the table by handing it to a customer that was sitting at the table- handing things to them is the same as putting it on a table. 1:17:20

It's next to three tables, and if the plate isn't taken off by one of them (so it's been requested by the fourth table) it goes up the conveyor belt which puts it next to the fourth table.
Yes but if it's two way you'd have stuff coming back to your serving teleporter when trying to serve other dishes. Even if you set it up so they didn't come back through the teleporter somehow the merry-go-round dishes could still clog your serving entrance. That would maybe speed up your serve click rate but most likely slow down customers grabbing meals and leaving their table; which may cause bigger outside queues. The idea may still be good in the right scenario. such as probably better with the 'instant service' card where customers don't require their order be taken, they effectively just shout at you through the walls xD; shortening their time seated to make up for the deficit caused.
