Špatný. Spousta materiálu a práce k ničemu. Pod kovadlinou má být špalek. Né bedýnka na posypový materiál. Not good. A lot of material and work for nothing. There should be a log under the anvil. Not a box for sprinkling material.
What a wonderful attitude. In fact. It works great. 2 years of forging/moving and 0 issues. Not a good comment. A lot of words and typing for sharing an opinion. Comment boxes not for trolls. Go make something.
I had to squelch several, “how does he know...?” throughout the video. The music, at dawn on a Sunday morning, was yummy. The ad for wrinkle reversal cream that popped up in the middle, not so much. How dare they! Amazing work. Love, Mom
Big thumbs up to Brett. The projects are, of course, fantastic, but the amount of work that goes into producing his videos is unbelievable. Some of us definitely notice and appreciate the effort!
This video left me both relaxed and inspired, which is the vibe your videos seem to install in most of your audience. You´re definitely doing something right, and I sincerely hope you´re really enjoying the journey we are following along with you!
I built a smaller version of your design for my 132lb anvil. This past weekend I acquired a 308lb London pattern anvil and now expect to do a near copy of your design for a second time :) Thanks for the video.
@@skullandspade Yep, built 3 of these type bases now after having acquired a post type anvil. Converted the 132 lb anvil into a treadle hammer with the original base left intact. See my videos if you like.
It looks like every problem can be solved with an anvil stand! Make them all the same height then chuck a butcher block on top and your laughing! Lovely work mate
I've just made an anvil stand too! Good to see other approaches. Especially how different are the anglo-saxon and central-european anvil stands, layout of blacksmith shops and blacksmithing in general Thanks for sharing!
Everything's a workbench? Or something... It's a fantastic addition to the ship shop! Totally fits your aesthetic while doing all the things. And of course the rope! Beautiful.
You really nailed it. Pun intended. Love the stand, all its features, and the music, Brett. I imagine it will look better and better with use, too. Thanks for sharing!
I love your choice of music, I also love your aesthetic, it's right up my alley. This video, plus a morning coffee was a great start to my day. I spent it building a new vise for my (woodworking) workbench.. i was gonna do it anyway, but your videos always add an extra little kick of inspiration/motivation to get out and build stuff
Thats the second time you've missed the opportunity to put some small hidden treasure inside with the desert sand. Also welcome to the desert. Have fun with our summers.
Well it really is a blacksmiths workbench. So you're definitely correct on calling it a workbench. Looks good. Without the anvil you could use it as a trashcan or a coal bucket.
@@skullandspade I didn't it was just like this because I can't weld yet but it came out great for the 22 lb anvil I have. I've made a few bottle openers and a leaf and some tongs and it held up just fine.
Brett McAfee Good man. I’ll swap one of mine for it. No really, I’d love a bigger fisher. I’ve got a 100lb Fisher but they’re rare as hens teeth over here. I know of 4 in the U.K. All the best bud.
This stand/workbench is AMAZING! I love the idea of using sand to deaden the sound. What's that blob of clay you put on the horn to deaden the ring? It looks like Playdoh
At the very least, there should be a "0" after that 5 in the subscribers count Captain. The pieces you produce with common tools shows that it can be done, and cone wonderfully. You truly inspire me brother. And that squeeze-box musical accompaniment was spectacular! Thank you Brett...honest.
That was pretty great. I had so much fun watching this because I try to keep up and guess what’s going on. With this I had no idea until that part was finished and it was like “oh, ok. Awesome! That makes sense. Wait, what is he doing now?!”. Repeat. Kinda like watching Bob Ross painting. 😁
Been waiting to see this one since you teased it on IG! That is really an impressive anvil stan.... er... workbench Captn'. I can't wait to see how it performs for you. I do think there may be a few other shop improvements coming though - your take on a flip top stand so as to not have to plane on the ground; or something to wrangle in the grinders - just a thought. Keep up the amazing work!

This is the most criminally underrated channel on UA-cam.

HAHAHAHAH! Targeted!
few more anvil stands and you could probably hold a sheet of plywood on top of them :D
I think you're right. Need more anvils.

I never thought I would be able to tell a possessed skull could narrow it's eyes in suspicion via subtitles until now. Also great project!
HAHAH, she's reeeeaaaaal scary like that.
You're not only a maker, but you're an artist. Your aesthetic is unique.
Thank you for that!

This is what UA-cam makers should strive for. Absolutely outstanding work on the project AND the video!!
