Man, this is the fastest end grain cutting board project I’ve ever seen - @1:14. And using the big leftover scrap piece to make an anvil stand was brilliant.
I was thinking it's a shame Jimmy doesn't have a bandsaw big enough to run that block of wood through. Then I remembered he does, but Keith Rucker is still restoring it.
Every time I would think “Wait, shouldn’t he do this?” He would do the opposite and I would feel stupid. Great video! I feel like it’s a good insight to your creative process and genius.
Aghhhhh the wheel...still the greatest invention of all time. Wheels can take you around...wheels can cut you down...wheels can move the heavy weight with ease.👍✌🎯🇺🇸
Damn JIMMY, you are the aggregate of ... CREATIVITY, TESTOSTERONE AND PRAGMATISM. All stuffed into a meat sack we all know and love as... DIRESTA!!! Now don't keep us waitin...we all want to see DIRESTA the stuff your gonna create before you kick the bucket! You with YT have inspired creativity in every visual, common sense learning individual just needing to see how it's made. From one Dyslexic entrepreneur to another I salute you, and lead on BROTHER!!!
At first I thought Jimmy was going to attach large ball bearings to the sides of the wood block to run on the cam rods. It would have made it easier for the mechanism to lift the super heavy anvil. However, he went with simple sliding shoes instead. Whatever works, works.
Mr Diresta it's a pleasure to watch your video and to learn every time something... thanks a lot to share, for me it's an opportunity. Micky form Italy.
Hey Jimmy🇧🇷🇧🇷! That's what I call thinking outside the box! This one goes to the hall of your most brilliant videos! Conngratulations on your creativity.
This is a serious accomplishment Jimmy. Idk if the non blacksmiths will understand but I have never seen a wheeled mobile anvil stand that can convert to direct ground contact with the throw of a lever. P.S. You need a bigger hand saw.
Brilliant idea on making the lift/brake mechanism. That it’s some serious physics/mechanical advantage lifting 675 lbs with a flick of the lever/pull handle 🤔
Ton of room in there without the trailer! I'm always amazed watching you welding and coming up with ideas. Someone needs to send you some new gloves, though.
jimmy... bro.. we know you got like 8 20 foot band saws.. dont go getting tennis elbow with a hand saw on are account.. (but i wana show you can do it with normal tools..) dude if any of us are gonig to make a portable anvil.. were taking ALL the cheat steeps we can.. lova ya man keep it up..
I fully appreciate the hand cutting in the beginning... But don't you have a Bandsaw that can handle that kind of resaw capacity? When Keith gets done with the 48", you can make bandsaw boxes with tree trunks 😂
Man, if I had all those tools… I’d still be sitting in the couch watching you make stuff. Great job sir.
This guy gets it!
Hahaha I was like “oh man, another guy who thinks it’s all about the tools” the boom misdirect… very nice!
Best comment I’ve seen in a while.
Ah this hottub feels so nice. So what's up with you guys?
Well done sir

Can’t wait to see that when it’s completed
Hah - I was going to say the same thing. Hopefully we'll see that one soon!
I was thinking the same thing!
This guy is a freaking genius!! Always making it look so simple yet so skillful. Thank you jimmy
Thank you 🙏🏼
I’m gonna have to order something custom, AND American made, by the great Jimmy Diresta.
You got mad skills my friend!
Thank you brother
You never cease to amaze me. I like videos like this that I don’t know what you are making until it all comes together in the end.
That is such an ingenious solution. I am always amazed by what you come up with Jimmy.
now thats some handy bit a riggin' , good stuff JimmyDiresta
Man, respect for cutting this block by hand with less inperfections @1:14
Every time I would think “Wait, shouldn’t he do this?” He would do the opposite and I would feel stupid. Great video! I feel like it’s a good insight to your creative process and genius.
I'd never thought of that in a million years. Impressed as always.
The squeaky “yes” when it work was awesome
Nice anvil stand upgrade Jimmy Diresta, thanks for sharing.
I love the enthusiasm when the mechanism worked.
Good to see Jimmy working in the shop.
Dang thats a brilliant idea. Awesome!
Simple, elegant, and ingenious mechanism. I love it! Thanks for sharing!
And I was JUST thinking about your last mobile anvil stand video the other day. Thanks for giving me more inspiration for my new shop!
I like to watch you that the clips do not contain music, only natural sound, I like that
Me too. If I found video with music I immediately close even though it is great content.
@@CachSoul Yes, correct ❤

Nice use of a Rush quote! Liked.
Such an awesome stand build. Once again you hit it outta the park Jimmy. 👍🏻

The best designs are always the simplest ones. Great job Jimmy
Something so simple but very few think of. Great Build again. Thanks Jimmy.
I should've taken a picture of my face when i finally understood where all this would go ...... amazing, brillant !!! 👏
At first I thought Jimmy was going to attach large ball bearings to the sides of the wood block to run on the cam rods. It would have made it easier for the mechanism to lift the super heavy anvil. However, he went with simple sliding shoes instead. Whatever works, works.
Beautiful.Inspired.Practical.
Although sometimes I fear it’s not speeded up and he does work that fast.
Good morning Jimmy, that's a dope system brother! Fitting for such a nice barn
Mad Genius and maker of things. Jimmy you never cease to inspire the maker in all of us.
Awesome as always! You deserve all the hard built success, my friend.
Brilliant work, Jimmy! Looks great and works beautifully! Well done!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Really Cool. You are getting better with your editing. Well done 👍
Brilliant! Waiting for a full size pyramid on your land Jimmy. Cool IG live Q&A yesterday.
thank you
The mechanical design is what does it for me! That's slick!!!
Early in the mirning nothing to do.... Lets watch some diresta videos
👍 В России таких называют - Мастер с золотыми руками 👍
Once again, an INCREDIBLE video my man!
Such a splendid amalgam of wood, steel & muscle switching gravity on & off as desired. Thanks for sharing!

That's a really slick mechanism!!
my arms were burning just watching you saw through the ends by hand 😮
Always fascinating and entertaining! So great!
Always amazed at your work man! Great job
That is a cool build! Thanks Jimmy.
Genius idea. Pretty cool project, Jimmy.
The legit master of creativity!
As always, choose the way of craftsmanship, the most difficult one. But far more fascinating. Congratulations
This is a serious accomplishment Jimmy. Idk if the non blacksmiths will understand but I have never seen a wheeled mobile anvil stand that can convert to direct ground contact with the throw of a lever. P.S. You need a bigger hand saw.
A bit of grease on those sliding surfaces will help, excellent build. Very useful
What a great idea Jimmy, such a cool project and so awesome !
Love it! And you were right about the video and it’s sounds! It’s awesome!
That whole thing is a beast!
Great build. I may duplicate that for my standing drill press. Thanks for the technique and inspiration!
Such a simple mechanism, brilliant job!
The Edgar Wright style cuts of the welder are 😘👌
Great job Jimmy.
That is a very clever design, well done.
Educational entertainment, as always. Cheers Jimmy and thanks for sharing. Happy Sunday ;)
Brilliant idea on making the lift/brake mechanism. That it’s some serious physics/mechanical advantage lifting 675 lbs with a flick of the lever/pull handle 🤔
Can’t believe you used a handsaw for that huge block! Bet you wish you had that big bandsaw back from Keith lol.
Simple yet strong, perfect for that anvil.
Now that's a cool one of a kind moveable anvil support.
That is a job well done, great job man👍🏻
Excellent! You’ve outdone yourself!
Excellent idea. And as always so fun to watch.
Just re-watched this video to try and get some ideas for making something similar to move my jointer around.
Good job mister Jimmy Diresta well done
Great film. Captured the thought process. Super ingenious stand. Mahalo for sharing! 🙂🐒
The beast does it again this is a maker magician
Brilliant, as always!
Very cool. I would love to have the equipment to build projects like this, and to weld.
Ton of room in there without the trailer! I'm always amazed watching you welding and coming up with ideas. Someone needs to send you some new gloves, though.
Yup, classic DIRESTA!👌👌👌
Nice job on the mechanics it’s farmer styled engineering. Ice seeing the Bridgeport come into play.
That’s a nice simple mobile stand design. I might have to try to replicate that .
Thanks Jimmy!!! 👍
Welding instructor: Prep that metal!!
Jimmy: Meh, watch this. 700 lbs solid AF.
Sweet piece of engineering!
Who thinks like this guy? Ingenious!
Now that is an amazing idea thank you for sharing 😀
Friggin brilliant! 👍

Time to make a giant reciprocating saw from that handsaw :D
Yes!! Yeeeessssssss!!!
Good morning, jimmy!!
Cool idea. Nice anvil.
Love those casters
that was a neat build! but watching you hand saw the ends hurt my shoulders and arms lol
great upgrade!
Killer build 👊🏽
