Love my equinox 800 use 2 to 3 times a week 3 to 5 hours each time I go out although haven't found gold but I only hunt on land.
Been a fan of Fisher for along time, great company, but a pulse machine, like all pulse machines has a hard time with discrimination. Looking forward to what they work out as it would be a game changer for sure.

Depends on your settings wheather you pick up tent pegs and hair pins. When l'm on the beach, l want it all rings and money but sad to say here in Canada if you want any change on the beaches you need to run in iron as the clad is mostly steel. At least we get paid to clean our beaches and the life guards have even thanked me for cleaning the beaches as they will get beach goers hurt on the lost pegs.

i have the tdi bro and the whites beach hunter,on both thease machines disc is affected by pulse timeing try playing with the pulse timeing increasing may get rid of the longer thin objects but still keep the rings detectable.frequency allso has some effect,test in the sand not air test.

That looks like the kind of target day I would have with my sea hunter. Minelab saves a lot of bending over, and at 70, I need all the trash filtering I can get because it helps extend my day due to bad knees and back.
There is no substitute for the Equinox

Hey gigmaster, was looking at your setup how it keeps hitting you when you swing the detector, why don't you try to flip the unit upside down so the connectors are pointing down the shaft. Maybe it will work. Anyways keep up the great videos!!

Have you done air test on small gold like chains ? Does this machine pick them up or is it silent over chains ?
was the equinox on all metal mode when checking the bobby pin?
have you tried using the 7 uS delay on wet sand and in sea water...do you get any falsing ???

I find Bobby pins all the time with my equinox 800 . I use beach 1 and beach 2. What are your settings so I don't dig them.

It's tough when you first start using the AQ... I might suggest letting the strong signals go and dig faints only. ATS controls the depth a lot...so in All Metal lower your ATS as low as possible. You get falsing, raise ATS as needed. So many possible's but best to put yourself in the best possible spot where there is less trash. How you adjust one knob affects all...take your time, use it sometimes and have fun.. Call me if you have any questions..

@@GuillermoElAlfil My opinion.... With setting Gig used and more experience some could be passed,....Gig is doing all correct and learning. Once you see what the AQ is capable of One will know when to take it on a hunt... or leave it at home. Myself,..I use it as a PI with some discrimination but The AQ is at it's best when Used in combination with a good machine like the Nox or Excalibur. There are some spot I would not dare take the AQ...then others it works perfect and pulls gold way beyond any other machine out there... The EURO model I've heard is due Late Spring...

Interesting to see how this works out.....I would go totally nuts digging those deep bobby pins....The Equinox has totally proven itself, and that's why I just got one...! I think the Fisher is going to Excel at Cannon Ball Alley, as Fisher underwater detectors have found loads of treasure.....
I wouldn't buy it I'll just stick to my 800 equinox if I was you I would return it and get back the money and run

they need to combine batter/control panel into one unit, it looks messy and cheap. 3.5hr battery is pretty poor compared to any other detectors most now are 8hr+. i suppose if you want to travel 10 years back in time even for a pulse induction it is perfect.
Can you do a video with some test targets at home so we can hear what the machine sounds like? Also test to see if it can tell good targets under junk isn't that the big selling point of that machine? Personally I think it is just another PI machine which has you digging lots of junk.

Try the whites tdi beach hunter. Ed the beach hunter find lots of gold with his. Deep targets.

@@claudeladow2334 The AQ is about 4 inchs deeper then the TDI Beachhunter. Tested both, side by side..The TDI is a very good deal for the money but 4 inch's can make all the Difference in the world..

You got is so right........this test shows absolutely nothing apart from its just another pi that won't do any better than any other pi.Makes you wonder why more people don't do the tests you talk about,it would be so easy to bury the targets we are looking for,ie,gold rings and items of jewellry at different depths so that we can see how they perform in real conditions.Most when considering a pi are most interested in the depth of the machine on rings etc but this is never shown.All the targets dug here would have been found with a top multi frequency machine.........apart from all the trash which non of us want to find.😂
It doesnt matter how much a pi is bigged up.......their discrimination capabilities are next to useless and you will always be inundated with iron crap.

NOX is a great machine to start off with, the AQ is more of a specialty machine, used in conjunction with the Nox... Once one gets in more time at the beach"s you hunt you will know if you need it..I have spots I can even find a signal, so I bring in the AQ .... the beach is a live again with good and bad targets...But I know there is Gold mixed in so dig all...and it finds the Gold.

I'll pass on that machine!....Oh' don't get me wrong it works good for sure and won't miss the targets but, just too much torcher on digging high volume of trash at the beach!........I would use it if I only was finding few targets or, sanded in conditions!.....I guess it depends on the person but, not my cup of tea!
