So just unlock bootloader then which flash method to follow...:on XDA it shows a flash method with custom recovery and on Telegram it shows flash instructions using the ROM installer...?
@@makesimcsween1605 umm actually the older rom has been dropped hence the method must have changed. Don't worry both should work. Follow xda one only as of now if you have doubts :)
Hey bro...thanks again for trying to help... somewhere along the way I somehow messed up my 8t... unfortunately I wasn't successful using the lineage recovery and adb sideload method to flash evolution x 5.8 or the flash rominstaller method...now I seem to have messed up so key partitions and I can't even use the msm recovery tool to come back...I've installed all drivers correctly...the only problem I thought about was that my PC only has USB 3.1 ports and not USB 2.0...qualcomm crash dump mode has appeared and the only way I seem to be able to boot into edl mode is by booting to custom recovery and typing adb reboot edl command...however I'm getting a yellow triangle and "!" In device manager and msm tool isn't seeing my device...I've even tried flashing firmware images manually but no luck as my partitions are somehow messed up...Is there anything I haven't done...? I need help...

In the video it looks pretty simple, not gonna lie, but I'm scared to lose all my datas.

I did not find Evolution x fastboot installer zip (fastboot installer and payload dumper folders zip) link in description only i got fastboot tools and rom links please share that link.
idk if youve found it but i found a link for the tool on a page for derpfest for the 8t on xda, its in the comments a couple or so pages in. hope this helps, i havent tried it, only rom i could get working is nameless rn, its a nice rom i will say that.

You will lose all your data doing this. So back it all up (backup phone is always handy if something goes wrong)

help man the device will reboot very early on in the installation, the usb connection will disconnect and it will say waiting for device
You have to leave the device alone, that is a part of process

If you are rooted then use swift backup. It will take all apps, contacts and app data. Photos and normal data u need to to copy elsewhere.
