- Well, here is a current and very realistic day in my life. There's been a lot going on and I would be lying if I said I have not been struggling a little bit 😅 I hope you enjoy this very random but honest vlog where I attempt to get my life together while being a big ball of stress.
Just a reminder that it is okay to go through productive times but also stressed out and kind of all over the place times.

I just finished this book so it's on top of mind but when you were talking about social media/mass media and why we're so addicted, The Twittering Machine by Richard Seymour was one of the most insightful books I've read on social media and the industry and specifically on WHY we keep using it, even though we all know it's bad. I can't recommend it enough and I think you'd really enjoy !

8:19 I watched this documentary called "Social Dilemma" and I understood why we're so addicted to social media. The algorithm. The algorithm knows what we like by determining what we search, like and how long we stay on one post. So the algorithm keeps pushing stuff similar to what we like so that we can stay on that app as long as possible. Their goal is for people to stay on the media for long time so that they can pop ads and earn money from it. I def recommend watching that documentary!

i used to have a massiveee problem w concentrating but u should look up the pomodoro technique n see if it helps ! i think it's like 20 mins of uninterrupted work and then a 5/10 minute break before getting back and doing 20 minutes again. it helped me so much during my uni studies :---))
Yes I’ve tried before but sometimes I would just go over the 25 minute interval of work and wouldn’t really stick with the breaks 😅 should try it again for sure

My senior seminar course was about how race plays a huge role in media and how media can perpetuate inequity but also how we can create counternarratives to dismantle inequity in media. ANyway, HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING IT IF YOUR UNI OFFERS A CLASS LIKE THAT :D
