Hearing that her oldest son came back after graduating college to help his mom settle her loan from the bank and end up being the catalyst for taking the business to reach the next level, gave me chills. I am slightly confused because i was born in Zimbabwe and my mothers was very independent and we (me and her) ran a mushroom farm and I don't remember her needing my dad to do this, even our house is still under her name. I guess its an education thing. I do talk about this is the book; A Young Womans Guide To Creating A Balanced Life.

    • @MsBonikki
      @MsBonikki 10 років тому

      The laws may have changed, however I know for certain in the past, legally the man had all the control of assets in a marriage and the woman had no rights, so possibly unusual that the house is in her name. It may not have anything to do with how independant the woman is, rather it's how the law would view it. My mother, a doctor, paid for the house etc. but due to her marriage to my father, he was the one who had the rights to sell it, not her.

    this is what the president of Zimbabwe is saying. Empowering the locals through telling them that the natural resources in the country belongs to them and not to foreign companies and foreign governments like the US and Britain. He has been sanctioned and punished by the EU,the US and Canada for that.

    • @janaoh5785

    It is harder to attract capital, if the investors does not have control of the company (49%).The investor would really have to trust the majority stockholder. I can understand the idea of excluding foreigners from natural resources, but that also mean, one can not expect any foreign help in extracting it.

At night they dont put these things away. They cover them up and go home. NO ONE STEALS THEM!!!!!!!! They are honest hard working people. More than I can say for Germany. Went to buy a sandwish and had not changed my US currency over. I gave a $100 bill but was told I get a better exchange with my credit card. So I paid with the card. Nice positive spin on the fact that a significant portion of the population has to pan for gold to survive because the economy has been destroyed and nobody trusts paper money any more so they cannot be loaded up with IMF slavery debt. In many markets they trade gold dust directly for foodstuffs because the UN backed collapse of Rhodesia (through sanctions) has left them unable to maintain even an agrarian economy. Those foodstuffs are sent there as"aid", flooding the market and making farming an unviable business activity even without the government going around and uprooting any stable farming business that takes hold because the farmers were a point of heavy resistance during the revolution.
    Good work UN, another nation saved, try not to pull a muscle patting yourselves on the back.

    It's good to see some progress in Zimbabwe, hopefully the locals get the benefit of a prosperous industry. I congratulate Rosie-Marie on her success, from her high dedication and sacrifice. Hopefully a stable economy can return to Zimbabwe, and a brighter future ahead. The people of Zimbabwe has suffered under corruption for a long time, and if this issue still persists, this fairy-tale can easily turn into a nightmare. Zimbabwe has an extremely dark history with a very long and bloody civil war, foreign interference and manipulation.

      Normally we share 50%for the owner of the mine and 50% for the workers of all the gold proceeds. Problem is that most of the workers never put the money to good use no matter how much you try to teach them and show them financial intelligence - it is sad to say the least, its a mentality issue.

    Rose-Marie is living in a beautiful house and paid money to take care of all her children's and grandchildren's expenses, but she said she wished that her workers (employees) families could do the same to also afford to take care of their children. Rose-Marie is getting the most wealthy (rich) from "deep mining"(because the surface gold is gone and has already been removed) but her 25 workers (5 women) are not getting as much gold money as she is. But she is helping other women with gold mining consulting advice. Also keep the Chinese and other foreign investors "out" of the country because "all" of the gold is only for the Zimbabwean people.

    im curious as to how this would factor in with the collapse of the Zimbabwe dollar, many Zimbabwe merchants will only take gold as money. 0.1gram for a loaf of bread. the Mugabe dictatorship wont help her, only she can help herself. good for her, I hope her business prospers. in this video the narrator mentions Zimbabwean economic potential. unfortunately their fiat currency has collapsed they use the U.S. Dollar now, or gold. Zimbabwe has very little economic potential in the current global economy

    Why do we always hear that Zimbabwe has large mineral resources and they do not translate into a growing economy? The wealth that is spoken is not that much, from mineral resources and Zimbabwe is not listed on a world rating, as a big producer of gold. It is not ranked at all. Chromium is the only mineral in large enough quantities to be mentioned on the world scale. Zimbabwe will do well to humble themselves and manage their resources meaningfully and accept the fact that it is a small country landwise and needs to manage its minerals better than at present. Mortaging their diamond resources to the Chinese was not a good idea and those deposits are now dwindling fast.

    • @victortakunda5443
      @victortakunda5443 3 роки тому

      Colonizer please, Zimbabwe is the 3rd largest producer of Platinum in the world after South Africa and Russia. Zimbabwe is the 12th largest producer of diamonds in the world and 9th largest producer in Africa. In addition, Zimbabwe sits on bountiful and lucrative deposits of rare earth minerals, and Zimbabwe's deposits are only second after China. Remember that Zimbabwe is a host of 60 different types of minerals. Ndatenda. Ngiyabonga. Asante sana.
