This is Quan Ke Huy first ever film! And now he's an academy award winner!
So happy for him ❤
Who gives a shit ? What has he ever done ? Nothing. Just count the amount of great actors that never won an Academy Award, and now this idiot, just because he´s chinese wins one. Fuck the Oscars !
They gave it to him because he is asian.diversaty shit.
It’s Ke Huy Quan…😂

The Indy trilogy is pure perfection. No matter which one is your favorite you can’t go wrong.
The greatest, most badass entry in the Indiana Jones saga.

Indiana Jones, Legend of a movie series. Honestly, with the first being the greatest, this one comes real close. Again with the top storyline, soundtracks, and characters like "Short Round" really made this movie what it is. One of the most under-rated moves, I'd say in Indiana Jones Series, where I don't understand why It get's so much undeserved hate. Anyways, no need to read this, just go out and watch the movie for yourself. Literally indescribable . What a blast it was to re-watch it on Christmas, and how we got to see his adventures continue, and new sides of it. They really don't make movies like these anymore. Pure adventure, comedy, and many more.
❤
Temple of doom is the best indy imo.
My favorite in the series.
Congratulations on your Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor, Key Hu Kwan
My mom loves this Indiana Jones film, also this movie created PG-13.
I was doing a presentation on the 70’s-80’s anything from it. So I did movies. And of course I added Indiana Jones and even mention Temple of Doom created PG13!
Didn’t this movie almost get an R rating?
Definitely one of the greatest films of all time
Lets go easy there buddy. Raiders maybe
@@99pedropottergive me better movies.
@@thehahvokexperience the godfather
@@thehahvokexperience heck, raiders and last crusade are much better
Nope man not even close but I think I like one the best out the 3
Growing up in the 80’s, Indian Jones and Star Wars. It didn’t get no better than that. Temple of Doom was always my favorite. It scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. 😂. I always appreciated the more darker and serious tone this film had.
I hope so, just watched the first one was not as good as I remembered, like a kids film.
Only Amrish Puri can do such type of villain's acting 👍🔥
Lol, only actor you´ve ever watched...

The best movie of all time
Steven Spielberg is the greatest director in "the entire history of cinema"...
It's unimaginable that someone who has made powerful films such as Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, The Color Purple (among others) has also directed exhilarating flicks such as Jurrasic Park, Jaws and the Indiana Jones tetralogy.
This man is incredible. ❤️
Great technically, but over the top and predictable. Can almost guess the next scene in half his movies. Doesn't have the depth and intelligence of Stanley Kubrick, Ridley Scott, or Dennis Villenueve.
@@curcumin417 really Denis has more depth and Intelligence than Spielberg?
*Pentalogy
@@curcumin417 Kubrick got to hang out with NASA bigwigs. We're totally going back to the moon in '25. 😂😂😂

0:36 They finally fixed that awful compositing of the plane crashing against the mountain!
I still have the DVD where the matte painting of the mountain shifts when it explodes, looks awful even for 84'
Oh how I miss these times compared to what we have today. At least we have the memories.
It would be an amazing idea for Short Round to become the next India Jones. The narrative would be: Short Round got great influence and inspiration from Dr. Jones as a kid so he followed his footstep and became an archaeologist himself... India Jones would pass down the whip and his legacy to Short Round so he could carry on the saga...
Ke Huy Quan is already a stunt coordinator and has done many stunt scenes by himself and he's a fantastic actor so he would be a strong candidate for this. What do you guys think?
I think that's an incredible idea!
They prefers a woman 🤦
I was hoping for something like that for the 5th movie.
I think they may have fixed the moving mountain when the Tri-Motor blows up. That always bugged me and if it is fixed, that is awesome.
Yeah, I noticed that too!!
I'm hoping that if they've fixed that, they've also fixed a lot of the other composing shots. I love all these movies and they may be classics... but man a lot of the opticals/blue screens do not look great.
@@CowabungaWo101 I wrote the exact same thought on the first IGN trailer. Can't wait to see the re-release. Crossing fingers
@@JakobFrankMogensen Crossing mine too. I haven't upgraded to 4K yet, so I'm hoping the standard Blu-Ray re-releases have the new transfers as well. Going off the trailers they've released, I really like what I see.
I saw this one in the cinema with my brother, I was very young at the time and my father never would have allowed me to go so my brother snuck me in. Fantastic movie and fantastic memories for me.
Man, this really is just such a goddamn fun movie!
My favourite Indiana Jones film
I thought it was so cool to see Harrison Ford, Ke Huy Quan, Steven Spielberg, and John Williams in the same theater for the 2023 Oscars.
and Spielberg's wife, Kate Capshaw who plays Willie was also there at the Oscars!
For a long time, I thought Kate Capshaw and Harrison Ford were real life husband and wife.

I still say that to this day.....LOL
He no nuts. He CRAZY! Please come back to us Short Round!
Where is my "Adventures of Short Round" series Disney+? Indy sent his protégé to school and he's all grown up and ready to wear the hat. It writes itself!
Looks pretty cool. Hope it's a good movie.
Dont know why but I wanted to see this after watching Dial of destiny trailer just now..I just love this film, perfect cinema entertainment
My favorito in the séries because i love short round
' What are you supposed to be ? Some sort of lion tamer ! ' miss willie Scott
As a kid i wanted so badly to shave my heaf and paint it like the bad guy. I WAS pissed my mom didnt let me. Now at 39 theres no one to stop me. Maybe i should do it!
When movie were just entertaining
Happy birthday Indiana Jones temple of Doom 39th birthday 🎂🎂🎂🎂🍰🍰🍰
This film has its issues and I can’t explain why but it’s the best film ever made
No...
Is absurd, grotesque, nothing has sense, and the supporting characters are disgusting
No magic here
@@sleuthentertainment5872disgusting is a bit much… you’re weird asf lmao
I hope they fixed the goof in the initial heart rip sacrifice scene where you see bewitched Indy from the climax standing on the far left of the wide shot of the sacrificial chamber!
What are you talking about? Do you have a video with a time stamp so I can see?
@@raystantz2471 just watch UA-cam of the initial heart sacrifice scene. You'll spot ripped shirt "Kali" Indy on the far left of the screen in the brief wide pan shot of the altar. It's a major goof I can't believe continuity editor didn't spot!
Quan Ke Huy should have been the new archeologist taking over respectfully after Dr. Jones! And he had his own great look!
That movie? Would have probably made a billion!
Bc eeveryone love Shortround!
Happy 40th anniversary to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!
I just found out that this movie is a prequel and not a sequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark! My life has been a lie this whole time.
Fortune and glory, kid.
Movie magic.
and of course the ending was the best part when the head villager laughed and said so now you have finally found the sacred stone that was taken from us and brought it back to the village at once? and indiana said yes i believe the stone has its own power to its place now and thats where it belongs and the man says a sacred chant over it and thanks indiana for it. and the families are reunited with the children that were captured in the mines. so there was a good story to it but what broke my heart was that their children were kidnapped and slaved in the mines and the mother was devastated and crying😔 and the second guy saw how it happened and they came and stole the stone and children.
"Hold onto your potato 🥔!" 😂😂
We can all agree that Willie is a pain in the butt
I Hate Her Too
Temple of Doom is 40 years old!!!
One of the highest grossing films of the year and earned two Oscar nominations
The film still has that swashbuckling feel the films are known for with gun fights, hand to hand combat, witty comebacks among the leads, and a story of good vs evil
The mine cart chase is easily the most exciting scene with its wonderful use of practical stunts and minature work
At times though it feels very ungainly and culturally insensitive
Particularly with the Hindu religion depicting traditions and customs revolving around culinary delicacies and using black magic not to mention child slave labor
Plus there's ridiculous stuff that is just so preposterous it's laughable
So yes lots of stuff hasn't aged so well and the female lead Willie Scott by Kate Capshaw serves as one of the most annoying characters in film
All she does is complain and scream making her pretty unlikable being pampered and a damsel in distress
Ke Huy Quan as Short Round will easily get on people's nerves being that typical child character that's so loud but he's a lovable person sticking to Indy's side
But it lead to Speilberg to change the MPAA creating the PG-13 rating itself as a response to parents worried about younger viewers
'Temple of Doom' really has that heavy darker tone too being more scary and violent than its predecessor so it falls short in most respects, also due to Lucas going through a divorce having a downward attitude that shows
But thanks to 'Last Crusade' being a step up and the final film 'Dial of Destiny' audiences have come to appreciate it more with each generation
The impact is undeniable whether or not this was deemed the black sheep for many years but still left an impression
The best!
This follow up film took a completely different turn to the original
& how big is the tardis nightclub ! For that dance number .

Indiana Jim Jones and the People's Temple of Doom™
Jones appeared to long to be an antihero but was too GOOD to qualify for that. He wasn´t a flawless character, but the inner meanness resided elsewhere.
Indiana Jones goes Bollywood!
Hahahaha❤
The movie which shows india culture entirely different from tha actual
I knew it was Troy Baker as soon as Harrison Ford opened his mouth.

I can see why this has the lowest imdb score of the trilogy. 7.5/10 is *generous* .
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom had to be rewatched as part of the marathon watches for the new film. It better be at least decent!!!
I wonder what happens to Short Round and Willie after this movie
I actually think this was my favourite. Apart from the women from original I fancy more.
Can’t wait for the Dial of Destiny, if we get a Willie and/or Short Round cameo I will cry tears of joy, 🥲🥹
In Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, set in 1937, while not fighting against the Nazis, archeologist Indiana Jones, accompanied by an 11-year-old Chinese orphan Short Round and nightclub singer Willie Scott, goes on an adventure in the Indian village of Mayapore in search for the five Sankara stones given by the Hindu gods to fight the evil Thuggee priest Mola Ram and his henchmen.
Feel like this is one of the last great ones before everything went to CGI
Amresh puri🇮🇳😍👍👍👍
All of us!!
CinemaVariety is one of the best .
The spiritual message flowing in this film is very important and clear. Hinduism, Lord Shiva, versus paganism, practices of black magic, including human sacrifices. It was on my cable TV programming last night.
Confused about the 4 movie collection. There are only 3 Indiana Jones movies I’m aware of
Here comes my nerd LOL
Film(s)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

@@lovescarguitar you're not counting the kingdom of the crystal skull or have you not seen that one ?
Actually, there are 5 now. But you clearly don't have respect for artists and their hard work, so you just acting like a jerk there. Stay classy now.
They don’t make them like this anymore. Now you get CGI-laden politically correct films.
Is this a pg rating in the box set..if so that must mean it’s been censored..I didn’t pre order this to get a cut version of temple of doom
This movie is pg
The movie has always been PG. PG-13 was caused by Temple Of Doom.
We need to clone an Ai Steven Spielberg before he dies so we can still watch good movies
So this movie's banned in India? Shame probably the only movie with Indian actors worth watching
I don't know if it is banned.
Your legs are not on the ground if you think this is the only movie worth watching with Indian actors.
Bahubali not worth watching for you? Most whites of the 80s are racist. Henry Kissinger calls us as bastards. And other non white allies as "they are bastards but they are our bastards".
The level of racism is insane. If this film is banned, I'm glad.
@@tatvamkrishnam6691 Nothing I'm saying is racist. All I'm just saying is that Indian movies are bad. It's a fact that the Indian government puts huge tariffs on foreign films and censors many as well. Many Indian actors removed from Bollywood aren't that bad and I for one agree with Spielberg that Amrish Puri's Mola Ram is one films greatest villains.I'd believe he'd be good in anything, even in a shitty Indian made movie
Have you seen the movie ?
@@sanchitchandra Temple of Doom? Of course
@ D … Excuse me?????
It looks like it used cgi but this came out in the late 80s or early 90s I forgot when it came out
Fun fact: Harrison Ford insisted (to the disgust of the rest of the cast and crew) that they eat real monkey brains in the banquet scene, and when Steven Spielberg refused, Harrison held a knife to his throat and kicked him down some stairs until he agreed to eating the real brains. Several witnesses said that Ford was seen to "greatly enjoy" the monkey brains, often taking spoonfuls of others after he had finished his own bowl. Many, if not all of the other cast members were said to be "violently sick" on each other and frequently diarrheatic as Harrison "screamed at them to swallow the brains". Unbelievable and crazy events on set.
LOL absolutely untrue but great story (the monkey brains were Jello). True Fun Fact: The monkey brains scene was inspired by the mondo documentary Faces of Death.
I smell bullshit of the highest order

And to think, this film used to be considered the "low" point in the series.
the best!!!!!!!!!!!!
But not the original trailer. Move along!
It’s true but, Did you that they could only record the part where he cuts the bridge with the sword once or els they were screwed when recording and couldn’t go back? And did you also know that the part where a bunch of guys got into a circle and surrounded Indy and that guy in black and when the bad guy in black showed off he skills with the sword just to be shot by Indy in the first movie was not in the script when they were acting for the first movie? He just wanted to do it cause he thought it would be funny I believe… and the bolder that Indy got chased by in the first movie was real and they had to stick with it? My parents told me about these facts just recently cause we wanted to watch the first four movies together.
I just saw it yesterday 😅
Anand's illegal move (en passant)... As long as there is a single red ant in India & Modi doesn't wear a 'Fitbit' watch... END
This movie is the reason why I didn't watch the other 2
You’re missing out! (Except for the 4th one)
Because it was so damn good that the others couldn't possibly measure up. I hear ya, and I agree.
I want the whole of the movies...not the short movies....and want to see the movie not want to hear the person talk while the movie walking...show the long movie...
