I'm so glad I found this channel. I've always loved old or abandoned places, but I'm disabled so can't get about much any more. I adore these kinds of videos. I can be nosey through you 🙂
Funnily enough those are the exact words I would say. I also am disabled, but loved rambling over ruins and abandoned places. I actually felt some peace and calm from seeing this house. Did me the world of good, so glad I found you too!
Beautiful property! I loved the stonework on the buildings! The interior was sooo very decayed! I’m sure that it was easier & cheaper to bring in a trailer home rather than fix up these places!!! Not many salvageable items left behind, but I wish that someone could save the piano!!!😞 The main house was payed out strangely! Plenty of bedrooms upstairs! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with us Alec❤️
What a beautiful place! My husband loves Scotland and was stationed there years ago. I've dreamed of visiting for as long as I can remember. Growing up my mom, grandmother and I would explore abandoned houses and I still love it to this day. Thank you once again for sharing. The scenery is stunning too.
It is my cousins wife’s parents old place , it was rented off the estate , and the laird is a right prat , it’s lucky it not torn down , it between Rhynie and Dufftown on the Cabbrach road .
That thing you said you’d no idea what it was, was a gas cooker. 1930s or 1940s. We had one similar when I was wee. The gas rings are missing. Ours was grey speckled.
Interesting and beautiful farm house with quite the treasure trove. God, Scotland is absolutely stunning! Thank you, Alec and friend, for sharing another terrific explore with us. Cheers from Nova Scotia 🙂
I think I know this place , if it’s where I’m thinking it is , it was my cousins wife’s parents lived and farmed , it’s still used during lambing time , that’s why it looks still used.
What a beautiful stone house 🏡 would be a good thing if someone can fix it up to what it once was .The plus was the gorgeous views .Thank you Alex and your friend .☺️
That house has a lot of potential. Just a bit of cleaning and fixing the roof. It also looks like someone is maintaining the garden. Interesting place.
The smell will be coming from the 'maggot oil' tin, if you have ever used it, you will know what I mean. We could smell that stuff fields away from where it was used. It may have been left open originally as a deterrent to people going into the house. That is such an iconic style of Scottish Farmhouse, set in a really beautiful area. Again, sad to see it in its abandoned state. The land around it looks ideal. Thanks Alec, pop up a sold sign for me ; )
That was cool, what a great old house. That heavy iron on the stove, ran on gas. My brother had one of these way back, when he lived in the bush, where there was no power. Heavy as lead, they are.
Thanks mate and are ypu talking about the Corbett in Arrochar? If so its deffo not near there and thats a plan ill climb that this weekend and record it 💪😂
After watching this episode, I’m thinking the owner could no longer afford the upkeep of the house hence the static caravan and the veg patch looks well looked after so may still actually live there.?
Stunning stuff mate . Its like we're driving and see somewhere like this way back of the road and think .... ahh I'd love to have a gleg in there ! AND YOU TAKE US THERE ! . Thanks matey 😊👍👏
Other than the one terrible rm, the place was still in decent shape, plus was a good size home too. Was surprised the piano was still in tune, lol. Tc and stay safe always. Ty for the tour.
Man Scotland is a hell of a good place for abandoned buildings in the highlands such beautiful scenery from all these abandoned buildings love the vids Alec and the crew keep it up 👍
A lot of people in the highlands when someone dies board up the house and its left for ages, i live in the highlands and could take tou a good half dozen or so, but that doesn’t mean abandoned.
@@stephensimpson9885 Why is that Stephen? It seems so sad that they're left to rot. We used to go to Scotland every year when I could walk and we saw lots of abandoned houses, it was interesting to see how they deteriorated over the years.
Hi Alec and friend! I’m always amazed how you manage to find abandoned Scottish farm houses. Thank you, I enjoyed the explore and your still shots! You’ve got a good eye for that. Much love 👍❤️😊
I remember the finish on the stairs......from my childhood . I am 66yrs old.....my parents bought the council house that they moved into when I was 2 yrs old the was built 1940s ish .
Great wee explore alec places like this should be saved and not left to rot it would make a nice place for someone I'd do it up and live there if I had the money it would be nice and peaceful there 👌👍
That was a really nice one ! Even some vegetables or somethings still growing in the garden. Shame the caravan was locked, that looked interesting. Thanks for showing us around ! 👍
🍃Beautiful farm land and I love these old stone farm houses. Looks abandoned for a while, but the creep factor is quite high. Who the heck has been there? Looks like the sheep owners has family members or guest living in the new trailer, which looks out of place. Why build in the middle of nowhere? Maybe these people just found out they inherited the property. Who knows, all I know is that it's definitely time to leave. Love your photographs and thank you for the tour Alec....easy access today, no window climbing for Alec! Be careful and be safe. 😁👍
My cousins wife was brought up there , her parents are both gone now and my cousin but another daughters husband uses it when he’s up working among his sheep , it’s owned by the Cabbrach estate and they would never sell it .
I watch a lot of urbex Explorers from around the world but you are the first Scottish one I found. Just found your channel and subscribed. I quite like the content.
It’s sad to see the piano sitting there rotting away. The wardrobe was beautiful and on the small size. What do you think in its age? I’d say over 200yrs old. Awesome!! You said 1870. I was close. 😊
great wee vid alec.if i win the euro millions or the thunder ball i would love to buy an abandoned farmhouse like the one in your vid and get it totally restored look at that beuatiful scenery imagine waking up to that in the morning.👌❤
Hi Alec. I loved this place and the great scenery around it. The house was much bigger inside than I expected and so nostalgic. Lots of people had one of those spinners and my parents had a wardrobe like that first one with the shelves down the sides and that looked like a paraffin heater on the window ledge. Was the caravan actually lived in? Amazing place. Love and best wishes as usual from Canada
My people come from Scotland and maybe you see just old piles of shit....but I feel a real connection to the houses and landscape. Enjoy your videos and thank you for the good work. Brian Kinlaw Odenwald Germany

How sad to see the slippers by the chair, the clothes hanging 😥 Such an odd layout, didn't flow. I didn't like this house, strange. Lovely to see Leah again 😊

What a view and such a serene and peaceful place. Nice to hear the sheep off in the distance as you walked up to the farm. Scotland is beautiful.

Very cool place. My father-in-law grew up in Renton. My wife and I were able to visit Scotland in 2006. Beautiful country.

That was an amazing house at one time, it could be again. Thank you for the look. It is so beautiful there.
Yeh I enjoyed that too, calming location and felt like once a happy home 🐋
Can you imagine waking up to these views every morning? I bet this house was gorgeous when people lived in it!
Interesting and beautiful farm house with quite the treasure trove. God, Scotland is absolutely stunning! Thank you, Alec and friend, for sharing another terrific explore with us. Cheers from Nova Scotia 🙂
Another nice explore. Rooms are a good size, didn't expect them to be so large after seeing the building from outside. 😊
That is a fabulous house and the static van is even better.

I love Scotland! That’s where I originate from! The isle of Sky is where it started for me!
Stunning area 👌
Another interesting explore, the outbuildings wall art was just a touch creepy "The Year Is 1976".....Thanks for sharing & keep safe!
Thanks you too
I actually like this house. 😊 nice vegetable garden.
Hi Alec. Sweet farmhouse. One big property. Something old about those stone houses. They got real charm. Cheers man! Stay safe.

My Scottish clan is Baird. I live in California where I grew up. I learned to play the bagpipes here. It is one of my dreams to visit Scotland.

Hi Elec show us the oldest house that is abandoned.... Please its a request
That was one of them 👌
I arrived 🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@13:20 It still has vegetables in the garden.
What's the wooden box you opened? Coat closet?
Looks like the rooms would be cold! No fireplaces in any of them, and more modern looking then the outside looked.
Super endroit mais bizarre on aurait dis qu'il y avait encore le potager de fait 🤔 c'était pas des pommes de terre entouré de grillage ?
Dang! I bought a piano last week. Could have fetched this one instead.
