Near as I could tell it was a duel slope topcon head with digital read out. The receiver looks to be a Trimble magnet with wide band options. The only thing I didn’t understand is the technology in the cab. I don’t believe it was even used

so u just use the laser plane and set the machine with to keep the slope.... iv just used the laser as a referance for plane when working with floors for concrete and close to buildings whrere i cant get gps signal. is sooooo nice to can use laser to on it not just gps.

It will be difficult for me to explain, because everything is not translating correctly🧐 But there is a simple formula for calculating the depth of a ditch. I don't use any apps.I have a project with the height marks on my phone. Then I calculate everything😉
First time I’ve seen a swell cut in with a laser. That definitely beats eyeballing it then getting 60 feet away and realizing there’s a high spot lol
Smart setting up laser next to your starting position so you dont have to readjust your measurement when you put in the slope.
Interesting to see how the excavation works with laser technology.

I’m curious your machine looks to have GPS but you are using a graded lazer for ditch why is that?
Good question👍There were some technical problems with the GPS, but now everything is resolved.There will be a video where i work with GPS😉

There is no application. The project is on my phone and I look at the required heights there. Laser : Topcon RL-SV2S.
