  • Revopoint Range is a 3D scanner optimised for bigger objects and scanning from hand. It uses new infrared structured light projector which makes big scans even faster. I tested it with Windows laptop and with Android smartphone. It can be bought with large turntable which can hold loads up to 200 kg.

Looks like it could be a really handy tool and I was really surprised at the price for the KS campaign, kind of wish I had enough need for a 3d scanner to justify spending the money.
What is the “mesh smoothing” software you were using?

I've had luck with dusting talcum powder onto flat, shiny surfaces and/or using ordinary coloured stickers from office supply shopsinstead of fancy marker stickers.

What printer should one use to print out the image that's been scanned?

If material is PLA, almost any, depend of the size..

when you say it was sent to you in exchange for a review, do you mean you get to keep it ?

Yes, in most cases, this is how it works. Shipping back to china would be more expensive for the company and this would be used product.

In 2 days I will publish Revopoint Inspire video. I just finished the testing, editing is in progress. I have better experience with it, but probably with highly improved softwared (which can be used with Range too), only I didn't tested it with Range so far.
