  • SpaceX Just Revealed NEW Design For Starlink satellites
SpaceX has had plans to launch new starlink satellites into space for several weeks now. The team has been working a new prototype and has also kept us updated throughout the process with occasional glimpses of the hardware and installation procedure. SpaceX has just revealed the new design and has allegedly outfitted part of its next starship prototype with truly unique starling satellite dispenser. Keep watching to find out just how unique this design is.
First let’s start by discussing what starlink is. Starlink is a growing network or “constellation” of satellites operated by SpaceX providing Internet access coverage to 29 countries on Earth with ambition to extend coverage to the whole world. 2,335 Starlinks have been launched, with 2,110 still in orbit. Their goal is to deliver high-speed broadband internet to as many people as possible - notably those in remote and rural areas where traditional internet infrastructure is lacking. In September, Musk tweeted that Starlink would exit its initial beta phase in October, indicating that the service was continuing to ramp up and expand. Even so, the budding broadband provider still faces a backlog of prospective customers waiting to receive equipment and start service.
SpaceX revealed new details about plans for the next-generation of satellites in its Starlink internet system in federal filings on Wednesday, including that the company intends to use its massive Starship rocket as the primary vehicle to deliver the spacecraft to orbit.
SpaceX filed an amendment with the Federal Communications Commission that included descriptions of its plan, known as the Starlink “Gen2 System.”
“This Gen2 System was designed to complement the first-generation constellation SpaceX is currently deploying,” SpaceX wrote in the filing. “While the original constellation provides unprecedented capacity for a satellite system, the demand for more broadband continues to grow unabated and the need for user connectivity has never been more important.”
