Working at grocery store can be a lot of fun, but sometimes sucks. It really just depends on the supermarket you work at, and the job you have. I was a clerk, so most of my work was pretty repetitive and boring. The part that made the day most exciting was talking with customers. Also, working under different managers can make for a great day, or a day that you just hate. Either way, working at a grocery store is a great experience if you're considering it!

Ngl I’m used to dealing with verbal abuse from friends,family,and etc. so keeping my mouth shut whenever someone’s negative or disrespectful won’t be hard 😅 so my childhood has it’s bittersweet advantages when it comes to how I deal with people

I just finished my contract as an apprentice in supermarket service here in Brazil, I just have to say that it was a good experience, and there's a lot of costumers in a bad mood, at first I thought I was doing something wrong and I felt so sad and uncapable at my area, but as the time was passing by I notice that I wasn't doing anything wrong and I started thinking more about these costumers' life like they had a bad day or something bad happened to them. As I worked in Copacabana there were a lot of foreigners and I was able to talk in English even being Shy and had learned English by myself at home I was capable of helping and talking English, that was a different experience that I wanted so much to happen, I trembled but I was capable of helping and put my effort out of the paper. I would say that there's a lot of to improve in that supermarket place. I'm here to try to understand you talking like a flash hahaha, thx for the video Carl XD

It depends on the store and what your job is. I suppose it could be OK, but as a department manager at a poorly managed and short staffed corporate (screwed up) store, it's at best only bad and at worst, purgatory on Earth.

No kidding. Working in a grocery store is pretty bad.
But listen I’m really happy to get out of Giant.
7 years ago I was a bagger until one day they put me outside over one person who called out or miss work several times.
I asked to not put me outside anymore until year later still short on staff put me back outside and a while I was inside then short on staff and asked them again but then they said short on staff then after a while inside then outside short on staff I was outside permanently and got rid of baggers in the year 17 then I was outside all the time.
It wasn’t really fair. I could have asked them to put me somewhere else but all the years of being outside I couldn’t trust them no more
I could have bugged them over and over it but decided prop best if I just left
I need help! I’m 14 and I’m going to apply to Dillons because they hire 14-year-olds. I’m very responsible and I have very good grades and I think I’d be good because I’m very organized I could stock shelves or I could help check people out or bag things but I don’t know what to put on my resume??
I’m the same! I’m thirteen and I want to work at a supermarket. I am mature like you but I’ve never really had a real job. I’m also anxious about learning to do stuff lol.
