Chip is as real as they come! Got to meet him at Year One years ago when they were showing the "Bandit" Trans Am car. Sat there and watched him sign autographs for people until the last person in line left, then I walked over to him. He asked me if I wanted an autograph and I said: "No, I don't do the autograph thing. I just want to shake your hand." The look on his face was priceless!
Chip, You've always been a hell of a good dude. I've followed you since I've known about you. Glad to see you helping this kid out and giving him something to work toward.
Class Act for you to do that for him Chip! He could leave the "Y" in the decals and it still be a Tribute car and not a Clone if Yenko never built that model and year.
Chip, I "met' you a very long time ago; I was reading my then new copy of Rod and Custom magazine- a little eight by six deal that only had black and white photos, and there you were, sanding on a car in your dad's shop at about 11 years age. Since I was only about eleven at the time, it really fired my "car bones" up! Looks like you have put that same fire into another newbie to the hobby"! Thanks for all you do!
I love watching you old shows and videos!! Back when you had the overhauling show I always wanted to see if you would want to customize my 1978 firebird esprit. Like everything else in life things never came to frustration lol. Life gets in the way. She was a beautiful car back in the day but rust has taken on a life of it own. She’s been in the back room at the tire shop since 1995. Sitting and waiting for the allusive winning lottery ticket money lol My dad and I wanted to restore it but financially it wasn’t in the books. Safely he passed away in 2009 and she still sits there. I kept thinking about pulling her out but it’s not happened yet. In 2015 I was diagnosed with some autoimmune diseases and I’m very limited on what I can do but I still have the dream of fixing her up. Fix her up for in memory of Dad and now I have a slew 9 grandkids that I would love to see them drive her to proms and the likes. Not sure if it will ever come to be but I’m working on it lol At this point I would just be happy with an artist sketch like you used to do on overhauling!! You sir are an artist!! On paper and in the automotive world!! Just wanted to get my “story” out here on the internet . Love your work and enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work and being a real hero for the inspiration that you give people!!!
Chip you are such a fantastic guy. Always been a fan of yours. I live in NW Ga. and a couple of my buddy’s from Germany came over this past weekend and I took them up to the Savoy Car Museum and I LOVE your collection they had on the show room. That ford truck is SICK brother. 😁🤙🏼 Germans LOVED IT. They are BIG car guys. They LOVED my 59 2 door Impala 348.
