    Great. As a Buddhist, I practice 5 precepts, which are refraining from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and intoxication. If everyone practice these precepts, we will trust each other, the world will be wonderful and safe to live in.

    I don't know why I cried a bit watching this video.. maybe because of the fact that I am living in a quite unstable counrty, even though i love it .. we can't trust anyone here, even your own family or teachers or the police. How I long for some peace and to be treated as a human being. I live in Tunisia where everyone is robbing everyone and I am also considered as A third degree citizen and even if I wanted to leave this very called homeland I woudn't be able to.. So tired and heartbroken!

    This reminds me of what Australia was like 40 years ago. Back then everything was clean and people were punctual. Today most of the larger Australian cities are sh*#tholes- there is garbage everywhere, nobody does their jobs, the food at take out stores will most likely give you food poisoning, etc.

    • @drdewott9154
      @drdewott9154 4 роки тому +4

      I mean it's not a one way street by any means. We will trust and respect people and their culture as long as they too contribute to the society, respect us and our culture and don't try to let one overwrite the other. A mutual respect if you will. But when people don't do such that's when it goes wrong, which is why the Muslim immigrant communities and the Slavs primarily have a lot of backlash here.
      Many would say that most encounters with the Muslims here have been of them trying to go against the very values this country has been built upon for their own self gain while trying to replace the local culture and rules with their own which are in very stark contrast to the norm here.
      And the Slavs have primarily been known for being very self centered, thinking of themselves as above everyone else and only coming up here to get money and take advantage of the generous welfare state without giving anything in return.
      I know such generalizations don't apply to everyone obviously but it's the cases that most have experienced here and both of those cases are very toxic in the mind of the Danes and a complete opposite of the established ideology there.
      But luckily it ain't always like that. As an example there are several African Americans in Denmark and people here really like them, because they add to the Culture rather than try to replace it, and as such both the local culture and their own evolve so to speak from each side contributing to each other in a healthy cooperative manner.

Holidays and some traditions like baptism and christmas do still remain but most don't go to church every sunday or anything like that. Plus Darwinism gave a good blow to the Church's trustworthiness around 80 years before that.
