Same here 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. Unfortunately I read that it was destroyed. However, I’m still hoping and praying it wasn’t!!! So sad with all these wildfires going on around the state! So thankful for all the hotshots working so hard!
@@johnnycramer5841 did you ever happen to find out if the Fossil Creek area was destroyed by the wildfire? I'm moving up to that area soon, and this looks so beautiful!
Thank you! There are two parking areas for sally may. The first one is literally a walk across the dirt road….1 min. The other is like 3 min down the dirt road. Not really a hike at all. Enjoy! We just went back for the first time after the fire…..still so much fun! Not much shade….some people were bringing their pop ups for some shade.
@@R3Elle there is a porta potty at sally may parking lot 😬. I can’t speak for the other parking lots though. Also, I did not use it, so I cannot speak from experience. But again, we went this past weekend, and I will confirm that there still is a porta potty.
Water safety is important! Fossil creek is far from any help. Water in the creek/river is constantly changing. The weather plays a big role in this. The flow rate and the current are always changing. My older kids are strong swimmers, but there are always risks. Adults have recently drowned at fossil creek. I will always advise caution and water safety for all ages and abilities.
Unfortunately, it is closed. The area was destroyed by a wildfire. Although, I don’t know the extent of the damage, as it was closed off immediately. If you look online, where you are supposed to buy your permit, it tells you that it is closed. Hopefully it will open next year 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
As I stated “we re changing into 4 wheel drive, NOT THAT it’s necessary.”--if you went 2 years ago, prior to the fire, it was a very bumpy drive. I have not been since it has finally reopened. I have heard that the drive has been improved though.
Thank you for Posting !
Awesome hike! Thanks for sharing 👍
wow,
72 year rd not cold👍👍
Awesome! I was up there 2 weeks ago before the wildfire. Hoping the damage wasn't too bad. Timmy C Arizona

State website has it listed open this season passes required 🤗 hope all this rain brought it back life!
Nice video. Approximately how long is the hike from the Sally May parking area to reach the swimming hole? Thank you

@@UpTheTrail Thank you for your feedback. How about restrooms? Any at all?

Is it safe for kids that aren't very well swimmers????

Hello, I’m here now! Do you know if this place is now closed? I am here from Chicago for a week and I’m wanting to go!🥺🥺 what’s the address?

Don’t mean to be rude but if you need 4 wheel drive for that you need driving lessons
