    That was an amazing swimming hole! And you guys had the whole place to yourselves! I liked the intermittent shots you included of underwater footage. Those were pretty cool. Looked like there were a couple of small fish in that one underwater shot.

      Thanks! I was amazed to see the fish in the footage when I got home. It is a really near place VERY popular. We were very fortunate to get there when there was nobody there. It was getting really busy by the time we left though.

    I ❤️ Fossil Creek. See any snakes? Coatimundi?

      Up north, I saw two rattle snakes on the trip where we met you. We saw them down by fossil creek. I've seen one or two Coatimundi, but I don't recall where it was. I've seen lots of ringtail cats if I'm up at high elevation and hiking in middle of night. They're really fun to see. See two bears in Arizona, lots of deer, Gila Monsters (though I don't think in my videos), a mountain lion (didn't capture on video :( )... Lots of other noteworthy wildlife. Really amazed at how much animals there are in the desert down here where I live in southern Arizona.

      It's so cool to see wildlife. I wanted to add a couple pics or videos here but I don't see a way to do it.

      @@e.3600 oh thanks! That would be neat to see. My email is weinerschizel@gmail.com might work. I got some neat ones too. Sometimes I put them on Instagram but I don't have many of the online accounts other than UA-cam.

    Beautiful. How many miles to the water hole? Thanks for sharing. 😊

      Thanks! It was a great adventure. The crux of the trip is the road. I don't recall it being much of a walk. The drive on the other hand. Was most wash boarded road I've ever been on. 17 miles of rattle your teeth out. It busted my exhaust and part of my dash were on the floor. You could get a car in otherwise, but absolutely horrible. I've been on some "Jeep" roads in my truck but they caused the most damage of anything. If you go MAKE sure you have a truck and air down your tires. You could go in a car but I don't know. It'll probably rattle something apart.

    do they allow dogs?

    • @exploringgodscountry
      @exploringgodscountry  8 місяців тому

      We saw people with dogs there, however, I'd double check with Coconino National Forest 928-527-3600
      I cannot say for certain if it's allowed otherwise. If it is... I'd NOT let the dog in the water. The waterfall can push it under and drown it, or EAISLY wash it down stream. One must be discerning if they go in that water as well. It's beautiful but also quite powerful.

    Sort of deceptive as to how isolated and quiet it is, today's traffic has increased by many hundreds percent, including the trash...please no glass in these places.

    • @exploringgodscountry
      @exploringgodscountry  7 місяців тому

      Amen! Glass is horrible let alone trash. Fossil creek is so beautiful but I typically dont go to places with so many people. We went on off season and make sure to get there as soon as we could... even at that a bunch of people showed up. I just tried my best not to get them in the film. Thanks for watching my video btw :)

    I remember 15 years ago .. no one would be at bullpen .. last year tried to take some friends . It was almost impossible to get there and 95% of the people heard from tik tok and left trash everywhere… as a local I love it .. just kidding

      Yeah, I'm reluctant to say much of where things are. I get worried what you said will happen in more of the places I enjoy.

      @@exploringgodscountry also at fossil creek the big boulder the the right. The one that’s above the waterfall that’s where most people jump from. Also the right side of the actual water where the big flume is, you can water slide off of it. It’s an amazing rush. Next time your up there try it out!
