How wild exactly?
Unless there is specific intelligence around weapons, generally speaking the police don’t need them. The sentences for guns far outweigh drugs so the risk of carrying is pointless.

As these large amounts of drugs were coming in from Portugal and the Netherlands was there any co-operation with the policing authorities in those two countries ? One would hope that this particular operation might in some way have resulted in further arrests over there. I think it's long been known that drugs from Latin America come mainly to Europe either through Amsterdam and Antwerp or through Spain and Portugal.

They work on intelligence. If they know who they're picking up and have a good enough profile of them , they can be almost certain they won't be facing firearms. If they suspect they could face guns or they're not sure, they can rock up very differently. Bear in mind guns are very scarce in the UK compared to the States.

It’s only worth that much money coz it’s illegal if it was legalised and regulated it would be the same price as sugar ! If u was truly ‘public servants’ u would actually serve the public’s needs, clearly a lot of people want to take it, that is never going to change, if it was as cheap as sugar then addicts wouldn’t need to commit crimes to fund their habits would they, legalise it and all the problems surrounding it will be solved instantly

This is a great success for the police, but British courts give very low penalties. How do you want to scare away the next bandits in the criminal queue?

You might just as well wait outside the handicapped school with your spike strip.

If u just made it legal and sourced it for the people using it very cheaply u would stop the incentive and save every one using it a lot of money, that money would then stay in the uk economy and it would stop the criminal gangs instantly coz they wouldn’t have any customers! Dunno. Those sentences are pretty light. Most will do less than 6 years. If they have 600 bags hidden away somewhere it’s worth while. Looking at the state of them though that’s probably a stretch…
