Love the creative potential in all this. My site is decorative because visuals matter to me a lot, but now I can reduce the load time without losing the artistic side. Thanks for such a clear video!
What a terrific tutorial, Christine! I'm just building a sales page today, and needless to say, I'll be following your suggestions instead of what I had in mind because yours looks so much better and is built for speed. P.S. It's uncanny how often you folks at Thrive Themes come out with new tutorials and features just when I need them. Thanks!
Great tutorial, as always, Christine! I knew about the 'Fancy Dividers' but had forgotten they had been relocated in TA... In watching, I realized a more efficient way of positioning: I didn't realize -- or consider -- that I could apply positioning to entire blocks! 🙄 Duh! I've known about the "outside ➡ inside principle" but just never thought about applying to entire blocks! That will aid my layout in TA, making it much faster! Your design example is great & gives me lots of new ideas! Thanks! 💖
Its my bad skill when the subject is designe. the most easy way is use image but the problem we know. I liked so much understand how we can make very nice landingpage with no image to make the page fast and fancy. thrive is the best
Magnificent tutorial that opens my eyes. I did not intend to use images as backgrounds but I also had no idea how to decide and design professional backgrounds without images. I love these ideas and the educational way of teaching them. Thanks a lot. On the other hand, in the case of using images (not for backgrounds), what would be your general recommendations as a maximum size in pixels, formats, Resolutions, etc. I would like to know that too ... (because I think I can screw up your optimization job with kuick). Same for icon optimization (what are Nimble icons, how to get them, etc) maybe you can consider a tutorial for this kind of thing. Thanks in advanced.
I'm glad you like the tutorial :-) For images, generally speaking the largest resolution you would need is 1920x1080 for an image that fills the page, and then you can do some arithmetic to estimate sizes for images that might take up half the page, or a quarter, etc. I would recommend using an image optimization tool such as kraken.io to decrease the file size. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to our list of video ideas. -Christine
