yes kind of. The cascade starts with a II V I Progression from Bminor to G Minor adn than to Bb7. Also there is a melodic line that descents in whole steps. Just like the Bass in Giant Steps
It's a new music altogether but still retains the fundamentals of a Ravel piece~. This is akin to a director's cut, something Ravel may have done but put it aside and kept it hidden in favor of a different alternative~
At the bottom of the screen, hit Settings (the gear icon) to change the playback speed. I think 1.25 does the trick, and the pitches aren't distorted. :-)
When you go from Giant steps to Pas de géant
bien vu
32nd note quintuplets is diabolical
Especially against the sextuplets - although I'd say the 7:8 at the start is even worse. That was Maurice's doing, not mine
I thought about this so many times, ondine is just giant steps but in minor
Or maybe Giant Steps is Ondine but in major?
Or maybe ondine is just giant steps in water?
Or Giant Steps is just Ondine but with wrong notes?
This is awesome. I would never have thought to make this, but it works so well!
I love how you are bringing giant steps back to life. We should bring back the giant steps memes.
This is the best content on the internet rn (for music majors)
Doesn't Ondine have Giant Steps harmonic progressions before the latter was a thing? It's just fitting. Great work!

HAHAHAHAHA I dreamt to do this as well because the harmony is the same but can't imagine to change the melody in my head 😂 good job
Now ik why this part of Ondine seemed so familiar lol
this broke me.
This is amazing

HAHAHAHA THIS IS INSANE THANK YOU

That's pretty cool!
Thanks!
I love it!!

Bravo - very original !
this feels like a missed opportunity
another giant steps video! not bad :)
Sounds amazing, could you post a version with a faster tempo in the main part? Since even both ondine and giant steps are very fast
amaazinngg

caralho ficou muito foda!!
very epic!
Ravel
Magnificent ! Could you make this available as sheet music ?
Yes I can send you a free pdf via email, google drive or discord
This is awesome, but could you turn up the tempo to match either a typical Ondine performance or Giant Steps?

@@Mezzotenor I realize I can change the video speed, but that's not quite the same as just having Sibelius generate the music at a different tempo.
@@Mezzotenor the quality is definitely distorted though lol
What software do you use to produce this beautiful sheet music ?
Sibelius!
The first right hand chord in second bar must have E sharp not natural.
Good catch
lol
lol, very nice
Is there a way I could get the sheet music for this?
I can send you a PDF via email or discord if you like
@@joeyhardin5903 that would be amazing!
Do giant steps to Daphnis et Chloe
Wish it was in C Major
Why? Please explain.
relevant links are in the video description
