In this arrangement, I start in F Major and for the last 2 verses, elevate to G Major and pull out many stops...
The second part of the video is a MIDI file with a slight variation and harmonization which is nice for a Prelude or during Communion... I will be recording it live soon with a beautiful Oboe Solo.

I suppose everyone has a story about this hymn. For me it is the hymn that I remember from my mom's funeral. It was played on an an old four rank pipe Oragan labeled Solis Deo Gloria. Your playing was wonderful.

Lance, I bet that the oboe solo will be beautiful. Amazing Grace was the first Hymn that I memorized back when I started lessons, I play it to warm up and focus every time I practice , because I play it so often I like to try various stops the oboe among them I really like the Pan flute and Bagpipe stops among others as well. We are in the middle of a " winter storm " up here today so have some time to putter around. God Bless All. Kevin

I don't know what it is about Amazing Grace, but it's a really aesthetically pleasing song. Even though I'm an Atheist, the charm of religious music always keeps getting me to come back for a listen.

Thank you for the compliment - the Organ is a VISCOUNT, made in Italy. The model is - VIVACE 20. I can change the registration to make it sound like a huge Pipe Organ... The bad news, it does not have a full pedal board. Lance † ♫♪♫

Got a question about organs is it possible if I could use pedals without organ shoes like if I could use my foot?
Yes - I often pllayed in Church with just socks, I have big feet...
Yes, several Men in Our various Organ class's have very big feet ( 12 & 13 ) and They play well and often in socks, I Myself have really wide feet, 8EEE so not long but wide I have trouble on some organs because of it, and I play in socks as well more often than not. Kevin
Is there any good books that I could learn organ?
I am sure there are many good Organ teaching books out there, I no longer teach, haven't in many years since I retired. You will need a teacher along with a guide ( book ) and lot's of practice but it will be worth it once you learn and can Praise the LORD - Lance † ♫♪♫

@@hunters.5627 The notes are the same but the Organ also has a third staff for the Pedals and you have to learn the Registration Combinations which on a large Organ could be Hundreds...
