This was my grandmother’s favourite song. Whenever she saw a street musician she would always ask them to play Amazing Grace.

I didn’t know there were receded pipes on a pipe organ. Learn something new everyday. Amazing Grace on the bagpipes is probably my favorite version of this song, next to the pipe organ.
My dad played the pipe organ in church since he was 15 years old, so he knew a few things. He played this song every once in awhile in church, which filled my heart. He died in 2014, going on ten years this year. Thanks for the memories.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH Paul, listening to you play this especially with the sound of the bagpipes really made me emotional and I'm not ashamed to admit was crying listening to you play it, Amazing Grace was my mum's favourite and she used to love listening to me play it on the organ at church, we had it at her funeral in 2016 and I played it for her as the first hymn (don't ask me how I managed it, I guess I was just on auto pilot) and every time I play it I play it in honour of her so I thank you so very much for this
Wow, I didn't know an organ could sound like that. This was beautiful. I can only imagine how amazing it was to hear it firsthand in the sanctuary. The sound that pulled people in of the streets. Just amazing. I see now why they destroyed so many organs back in the day. Truly a moving experience.

I decided to play this for the 226 firefighters that died across the United States. 15 of them were from my state, Virginia. I also sometimes play it when I see the flags at half staff at any fire station, police station, or at any city or county government offices.

Where is this organ located? Marcussen organs have such beautiful sounds. Great arrangement of Amazing Grace. A pipe organ with enough good wounding stops can produce an astonishing array of sounds and imitate instruments you you wouldn't imagine coming from a pipe organ. Such is the case here.
