That's weird to me. I can't understand how he became so rich.
Because most rich people know how to get the actual smart people to do the hard work, while they sit back, get the credit and the money.
I can't remember the exact story. But some rich guy said that as a business man; "you should be worried when you are the smartest person in the room making the decisions."
As a billionaire your super power isn't intelligence. Most of them aren't that intelligent.
Their super power is networking, being able to sell an idea, or convince people to work for them, knowing the right people in the right places.
Todd Lasso might actually be crazy, if he thinks he's an expert at everything.

Boehly and Eghbali couldn't have botched things up more if they had deliberately set out to sabotage the team. Everything they've done has been a disaster and yet they still think they can stick with the same model.

Todd Boehly has an NFL/NBA/MLB type mindset approach to the EPL which does not equate the same to european football. They dont do trades and players dont always pick to sign because of "the market" the team is in. Football in Europe is a continental competition where you have a multitude of talent pools. He's assuming he's buying the best, yet it's a team sport that requires your team to play a different style of opponent that can outwit you week after week unlike the American sports leagues where people study players consistently to match the same game plan.

Mario is highly experienced and intelligent in footballing knowledge. He literally bombarded and debunked Gab's point in "how Poch should have taken over now to feel out the players", Mario said poch is most likely watching after the team everyday and or when in training, which is almost obvious if he has a contract signed or verbal agreement. Also Mario single-handedly just told them how to fix a squad of talented footballers, just to come up with a plan or strategy and continue building towards that. Mario is so straight forward compare to Gab's rambling.

Shaka's point cannot be overstated: Clubs will exploit Chelsea this summer. They'll have 10+ players they'll want to offload. Squad players like Pulisic, Zakaria, Loftus-Cheek, Kepa will go for pennies, if at all. Clubs will privately admit that some players are probably worth their market valuation but still haggle to pay less. And what if players on the "keep" list actually want to go and hold out to do so? Total mess.

Odd that people don't grasp this. It is entirely plausible that they will want to keep Sterling for example. He's 27. But he's the highest earner in the club. Maybe they cash out now prior to him being 30. Losing his wages helps with FFP. If they keep him then surely other players they'd want to keep would have to go to maintain his wages. Loftus Cheek for example? What do you do with Lukaku if you want to offload his salary but Inter don't want to buy him for his 40mil value? Dilema after dilema.

Best thing for Tod B to do, as a leader, is to accept that he has made some mistakes.. “in our effort to commit and invest in the future .. the investment strategy may have been too rushed.. we will need to be more targeted to enable success .. working with our new manager and talented experts at CFC.. we, as a group and organisation, will get the strategy right and bring success again to this proud and deserving club”… great leaders lose their ego and show authenticity and vulnerability to be effective… and to win hearts and minds.. that’s needed here because TB HAS LOST CREDIBILITY in the world of football and it’s in his, the investors and the fans best interest to let experts to their job.. I don’t think I’ve heard anything from Man City ownership.. they win.. btw I’m an Gunners fan but I’m just giving an objective perspective

He's explaining things to American business people who may not all quite know how things work in football compared to American sports. Just look at Wrexham with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney being so amazed by the concept of relegation and promotion. He's talking to that kind of people, not to people born and bred in a football environment.
