Ian Rush will forever be remembered for the line he said when came back to Liverpool after leaving Juventus. ‘I couldn’t settle in Italy. It was like living in a foreign country.’ 😂
🤣🤣
I read his book a few years ago. It was actually Kenny Dalglish who did that line about foreign country in a press conference. But Rush seems to own it now and can't be bothered to keep saying it was Dalglish who said it originally.
He didnt say that mate. It was a wind up by Kenny
this is and was fire 🔥🔥🔥espn fc should do this more often this was dope
Rushie is the reason why I became an ardent Liverpool supporter, what a LEGEND!!!
The crazy thing about Nunez is he has 33 goals and 17 assists in two seasons and has still been massively underperforming. To have 50 G/A’s in two seasons and still be underperforming is crazy. Hopefully he’s not suspended for too long because I could really see him thriving in his 3rd season at Liverpool under Slot.
😂😂🤡
@Triple_X_X
You literally are commenting on all my posts mocking me now. Jog on, grow up, and post your own comments. I’m not entirely sure why people like you always attempt to make things personal on here. I’m here to chat about football with other fans. People like you are bitter. Jog on.
For Liverpool’s sake Darwin better do well. Personally I don’t see that happening there’s a reason why he hasn’t been up to expectations and that because he doesn’t possess a high to decent football IQ because if he had he wouldn’t be holding the prem record for the most off side goals in a season otherwise he would have been in the top three to four goal scorer’s of the league last season.
He is suspended?!
@@Photosoflife 33 goals in 96 games is good? 1 in 3 for a striker who plays for a team that creates as many chances as us is poor
Now espn is worth watching BRING ON TOSH YNWA 👍👍❤❤❤
Wow, Ian Rush. We used to call him 'Pencil Head'. Remember regarding him as a legendary striker in a team with Barnes and Beardsley. Our Arsenal team were competing with them the way we are with City now. Never forget the 1989 Michael Thomas winner which I was too young to watch live but would read about in my first years following the 'First Division'. Heady nostalgia. Fever Pitch. Football really was a different animal. Just compare the wages. I think media-wise only Match of the Day has survived from that period!
u really are too young. the first and best iteration of Rushie was him playing upfront with Dalglish. Then he left for Juventus. It was then that Dalglish (who had become manager) created the front three of Barnes, Beardsley and Aldridge. When Rush returned, he had to show that he was better than Aldridge. During Rushie's second spell at Liverpool, he 'only' won one league title compared to the four titles and two European Cups he won in his first spell.
@hailyrizzo5428 wow thanks for the football history! And it's nice to be labelled 'too young' 🙂
@@tusharimdad9595 ur welcome, bro. i guess being an old geezer like me does have 'some benefits. LOL
Ian Rush looks like Don's father. They even sound the same
I agree
We need more Ian
I still remember my first Liverpool game ( 1998 ), it was against CP at Selhurst park. Rush's first game back from Juventus. When John Aldridge had scored a hat-trick and was then subbed with Rush.
1988?
For a guy missing sitters, Nunez is still getting double on goals in his first 2 seasons and last season a double in assists as well across all competitions.
He's not good enough for Liverpool.
@@thelmaviaductbut firmino was ??lol man outputs better than Bobby’s
@@Johnpaul-z4lI know you didn’t just compare Firmino and Nunez

@@akhlaqmiah too deep for you to understand what I mean ,he’s got better outputs than Bobby’s and he’s not better lol and when booby came in 2015 after his first 2seasons a lot of fans wants him gone too and prefers Bentake ahead of him but pools fan haha short memories
Gakpos numbers aren't bad for last season. 22/23 he arrived mid-seaon.
I remember Juventus beating liverpool in the Uefa Super Cup final 84/85 and the European Cup final in 85. Cabrini, Boniek, Platini, Scirea, Gentile, Lombardo, Rossi, Tardelli, Zoff. What a team. 🦓💪
Watch out for the salty United fans here because seeing Ian rush brings their nightmares back to memory. If you think the United of the last few years were bad, it was even worse back then. In those days United were finishing 4th at best for a long time and finished 11, 13, and 14
Salty when ManUtd has more Lge titles and a treble?!??🤡🤣🫵🏾

Ian Rush failed miserably in Serie A so he ran back to England where it was easy and tiny at that time 😂
You're a pathetic Manc 🤡
Easy in England? Then why did English teams win the European Cup virtually every year before being banned?
Rushie needed space in behind, but in Italy they defended 10 behind ball on 18 yard box
