I fought Lawrence after all the other DLC bosses. Also, if you go through the labyrinth you can get better blood gems and level up from the boss fights down there.
1) You're missing the best attack from your weapon (Pizza Cutter). The best attack is when you hold the L2 button which makes your saw to constantly spin 2) If you follow an R1 attack with an L1 it makes your weapon to transform while hitting with a new attack, this attack does more damage than usual 3) There are times when dodging without locking is preferable because it gives you the roll animation which extends the travelling distance 4) Don't sleep on equipping Caryll runes and Gems for your weapons 5) Check on your clothes defense stats, it may come handy when fighting certain enemies
Fun fact/Trivia: this white church npc using the spell like orbs (an eye actually) is rumored to be most likely Vicar Amelia. Since you have to kill Amelia to get to the DLC, since they both pray in a similar context. Laurence is the guys who left Byrgenwerth to found the Healing Church using the blood found deep underground despite Master Willem's warning (the guy on a rocking chair), seems like every Vicars turns into a Cleric Beast.
Lol that part at the beginning with the hunters was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Sometimes the game just says “Nope.” Props for soldiering through tho
That last attempt at Laurence was insane ! Pro tip: after killing the first Living Faillure, you can chain kill the one that always respawn at the left, beast pellet makes an insane difference with low insight and you can buy some of those with your insight points. And being cosmic creatures I think they're weak against thunder
"Idk who laurence is but he must have made some bad decisions to end up like this." Ohhhh boyo you have NO idea how true that is. Also, word of advice for Fromsoft games in general still stands: if you're SUPER frustrated, esp if you're uncomfortable IRL, it's best to take a break even for like 10-20 mins. I know YTber schedules make it tougher, but you'll be better off :) Still super enjoyed this eppy, keep up the good work!
Laurence is the one Fromsoft boss that when he decided to try I always just die. I've beaten him a lot, but every time I beat him it feels like his AI either wasn't trying. To this day I've not achieved a satisfying win on him, so don't feel so bad Jah he's just built different. As for the consensus on Laurence: 60% think he's BS, 39% thing he's the hardest boss, and 1% think he's a masterpiece and praise him as a boss. I'm somewhere between the 39% and the 1%. Oh and the White Church Hunter in this video is 100% Vicar Amelia, and I personally believe the Black Church Hunter is Aileen before she became The Crow Hunter. Also Laurences OST is the best in all the Soulsborne series.
Noticed that you’re using the repeating pistol for parries. Just wanted to let you know that it uses *two* bullets per shot and (I think) is harder to parry with than the regular pistol. Switching guns should help make the Living Failures a lot easier. You can also use the Oedon Rune to recover bullets each time you do a visceral attack to ensure you have enough bullets for the whole fight.
Was my first FromSoft and for some reason I went for a dex arc build using the cane and the flamesprayer ? Finish the game and got send into NG without a warning, got traumatized by the DLC. I quitte, I did Sekiro then went back to Bloodborne with a new character only to get stuck at Ludwig and Alien Romulus for both around 6 months.
The PTSD is real. Upgrade those weapons and mess around with blood gems. Outfits don't change too much. You're playing the hardest FromSoft DLC. It was never going to be easy. Stay strong.
Do you know about the chalice dungeon that gives you like 80k echoes for just walking through the front hallway? If so that’ll help when you run out of vials because you can buy a ton for like 20 seconds of loading into the dungeon and back.
@@JahXplosiveIm not kidding btw. It is known as the cum dungeon since the code to enter it cummmfpk. If you don't wanna farm vials, might wanna look into it.
Not gonna lie, this dlc is giving me the business right now…

Always a pleasure to see you struggle where we all have struggled. =) Lawrence and Ludwig have been a bane to us all at one point or another.
wait till he gets to the fishing hamlet😂 kos & the sharkboys in the well will show him a great time i'm sure
Good to know I'm not the only one struggling against these guys lol

The music of Laurence’s fight makes me sob everytime. Try all fire damage resist if you haven’t already, the charred hunter set is usually what I use

laurence's first attack never fails
Hit me like a wrecking ball lol
I can’t wait for the fight after the failures. That’s my favorite fight in the game.
I feeeel your paaaiiin… The Old Hunters DLC is brutal. Awesome. But brutal.
The blood gems you put to your weapons are super important, make sure you equip the best ones

Oedon rune just increases your total available to carry
Beast rune increases visceral damage
There is also a rune that recovers hp on visceral
@@R1S3_0F_D3ATH sorry should have specified that’s it the Oedon Writhe rune. The Formless Oedon rune increases how many bullets you can carry
Let's go Jah we made it this far no turning back now ❤️
Lmaoo. I remember when I first played The Old Hunters, I nearly gave up. Way harder than the base game but super fun.

@@thorn.fieldnsta 😂 Sounds like a typical souls experience
DLC and Chalice dungeons😁 i can feel your inner Sithrage Boiling 😆 Maria Sister Friede Melania they are all a dance
Me, after Jah enters the fight with Laurence for the first time: «Can’t wait to hear the epic musiii…why did it stop?»
Yeah I didn't last long lol
On my first play through and I don’t know that I found that crown to awaken him. I’m learning there’s a lot I’ve missed my first time playing.

I did not know about this...where was this information 50 hrs of gameplay ago lol
@@JahXplosive bro honestly I thought you were doing it until I heard in this ep when you said you farmed for 30 mins and I was like oh no…
@@JahXplosiveIm not kidding btw. It is known as the cum dungeon since the code to enter it cummmfpk. If you don't wanna farm vials, might wanna look into it.
In The Old Hunters, getting strong won't help you as much. Only way through is getting good.
In other words...I'm cooked
Do you know you can add +5 bullets by pressing up on the d-pad at the cost of some hp for when you run out of silvers?
I struggled with Lawrence but beat the final dlc boss on attempt 5 or 6 if i remember correctly maybe 7 trys tbh
Lawrence took me about 20 😅
37:40 why won't you attack them don't rely on. The parries too much
Bro when I saw what Laurence just did to you…what is that damage?!
Cointerhit damage. It's in every fromsoft title but really cranked up in Bloodborne. Don't get hit during a jump
I don't think I've ever taken a bigger hit😅
general consensus on Lawrence is hes unfinished jank.
With GOAT'ed soundtrack for no reason. Seriously, HE HAS LYRICS!!!
I figured as much lol
Your gun uses 2 bullets per shot. Maybe switch to another one. So u don´t waste them ^^
Hubris. PS if you want to see grown men in tears, try watching the RKG fight Laurence. Forté
