Hope you enjoy this much sillier kind of video, I wanted to make something smaller in scope to give myself a bit of a break after the last video was such a massive undertaking, and given how much fun I've had with headcanoning Pokémon on some of my streams and such I thought this would be fun! Next video will be business as usual, so have no fear if you're absolutely furious that I wouldn't crack open a cold one with your favourite UU mon.
man Kangaskhan being a single mother makes me wish she could find someone in the dating market, she always struck me as somebody who doesn't necessarily need a new husband or anything, but like, having fun on a date with somebody would be nice to see to help her cool down after a long day with her child.
Originally I was gonna agree with Electrode being low because I was under the assumption he'd just fucking explode after too many pints. But now I'm mad because he has a genuinely cool personality that gets jipped with passive aggressively taking over a conversation. >:( He would interrupt a conversation but he'd feel BAD when you call him out for it thank you very much. You just gonna watch his tab and help him keep his own running mouth in check and you'll have a good night with him.
I want more headcanon lists. I for some reason enjoy watching headcanon tierlists or top 10s of this exact stuff so yeah, seeing this from time to time really is a nice break.
Tentacruel being the bouncer makes hella sense. He puts the riffraff out on their ass, let's you know in an intimidating way that you've had enough and it's time for you to go, and is very much the problem solver sitting there with his arms crossed like in his gen 1 sprite.

I feel like I have to tell Big Yellow that Tentacruel's type of drunk does exist, and it's Political Activist Drunk. Not 'drunk enough to start talking about politics', this is someone who ALREADY talks that level of politics when sober, and has now gotten drunk and comfortable enough to start laying out their plan for overthrowing the municipal government and installing an anarchist commune.

Tentacruel being a supervillain drunk is ABSOLUTELY a real thing. He's like that guy after a whole bunch of drinks that's just like what if we commit the most heinous crime known to man and then eventually gets talked down to stealing a traffic cone.

At the start of the Haunter section, I was heavily reminded of this one guy that came to my last bar job. He'd come in Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 5pm, too late for lunch and too early for happy hour, I think that was on purpose because the place is almost empty. He said almost nothing the whole time, scowled at people who made too much noise, tapped his empty glass on the bar for refills and kicked up a stink if anyone changed the channel from music videos. So anyway, now when I see Haunter, it'll remind me of grumpy Ian and I'm mad about it :P
The Abra line and alcohol: Abra: Underage. Knows what alcohol is and is curious for the sake of knowledge. Kadabra: Doesn't drink to preserve clarity. Believes it is a waste of time and money. Alakazam: Drowning their sorrows after taking one too many Thunder Waves earlygame.
I like to imagine that something about being Water/Poison makes the effects of booze barely noticable for Tentacruel and they're just there to slam some ale back and mess with one guy for the hell of it
Muk is the bardtender, like chill old dude who has worked for 40+ years and is an amazing mixologist and bartender. Like he has great stories and he can easily up sell you on anything

i think ninetales has girl boss energy. like yeah, she can be a bitch, but she's fair about it and can appreciate it when someone makes a valid criticism of her rather than call her names. she's the first one to call haunter out on something they say or do and is the best at roasting the absolute shit out of haunter. she's "earned" the right to be kind of a bitch sometimes, but at the end of the day you know she has a good heart and has your back. also, ninetales and electabuzz are high school sweethearts that were recently engaged, and all the UU pokemon are invited to their wedding
I now imagine that Ninetales and Electabuzz once met up with Arcanine and Vaporeon while they were still dating and, despite Arcanine and Ninetales' animosity towards each other, grew to somewhat respect each other even if they occupy similar work spaces and Buzz and Vaporeon also grew to become fast friends
I was so tickled by this until you mentioned Kingler being the UU crew’s down-on-his-luck pal, at which point I was entirely bought in. I need a 52 episode slice of life anime about the UU crew
I think this has genuine potential to be like, some sort of fun series of stories with a revolving door cast. There's so many potential stories to tell, especially with the bottom half of the list. Delve into Haunter, why is he such an asshole and what pushes him to become better when he evolves into Gengar? Delve into Raichu's inferiority complex, the way it affects them, and how maybe pouring their feelings out over alcohol isn't the best way of dealing with things. The top half of the list has potential too. Delve into Dragonite's past as a former OU douchebag who saw the error of his ways and apologizes for it by being the chillest motherfucker alive. Or delve into Vaporeon and her budding relationship with Arcanine, have the cast help her by playing wingman and eventually have that romance blossom. I also saw someone else in this comment section float the idea of Ninetails being less bitch and more girl boss. Maybe she could start out as a bitch, but kind of mellow out over time. Also, that same comment had her in a relationship with Electabuzz, which I think is cute. These are just a few ideas I cooked up in my brain. I wish I had the mental capacity to actually turn this into something more.

I _love_ how Big Yellow can just... Do anything. Like, they could make something like "What shooter game would every even numbered Generation's Pokemon rival's parents would play?" and it wouldn't be out of place. -For the record, Serena's parents would be a friendly Hoovy-Spycrab duo in TF2.-
Giovanny does not play Shooters, as it is to close to the job. They have a weird affection for Animal Crossing however and that lead them to try Doom Eternal, and they found it 'Fine'. Palmer plays TF2, mains Soldier. Specialised in Market Gardening cause its the fastest way to get to the enemy. Hightower is their faveorite map. Does not get the irony about this. All Gen 6 Rivals might as well be orphans, so I am gonna say Call of Duty. I can not take the Anime for extra credit, cause the Anime Serena is clearly a Protagonist and not a Rival. Hop's Father is a passable player in most shooters, but he inevitably gets kicked from every game that has a voice chat cause he keeps mentioning how Leon is his son and that makes him the father of the champion. Impossible to nail down which game they play. Bedes Father is unknown, so we substitute with his adoptive parents, crazy fairy lady and somehow more insane CEO. Eeeeeeeh Overwatch. Rose plays Overwatch. Marnie's Father is also Pier's Father. Absolute Enigma. Same for the DLC duo. I wish I had more to say, but we can only extrapolate so much, and the fact that we managed to get as much insight as we did already is a wonder in itself.
I like the idea of Gengar being more mature because they are specifically a trade evolution, so to evolve they *have* to become more worldly and experienced and it has helped them grow as an individual
Gengar got traded up to Gen 2, met Dark types, got absolutely steamrolled, and then had to go through the Tradebacks process, and came back a lot more appreciative of Gen 1.
19:25 - I agree with this assessment, but with the caveat that once in a blue moon you can get a conversation out of Omastar and whenever it happens it is either just utterly baffling nonsense or the most deeply intellectual wisdom you've ever heard and even after he pays his tab and leaves for the night, you're _still_ sitting there trying to figure out whether he has dementia or a PhD in philosophy. 42:51 - Nah, see, I think this is negotiable. Tangela got Dugtrio a flower pot for Christmas one year because Tangela gets it, Tangela understands the whole mysterious hidden body vibe because Tangela's doing the same thing with the vines, so he's really empathetic to the struggles Dugtrio goes through keeping themselves firmly in the dirt. So now Dugtrio wears the flower pot like a boot whenever they can't be _actually_ underground. Dugtrio's big problem is that they do ask to be _on_ the bar instead of on a stool, which is nice because it frees up a stool but there are some bartenders who worry they're gonna get soil on the bar.
Golem being the heart of the group is just so perfect. Like I completely can see him as the guy you go when something goes wrong in the night cause he's the one that experienced life the most of them. My guy could solve a crisis level "i love you" message at 3 am and is so real for this
Okay I do have a downside for Dewgong that justifies them being in 6th instead of the pub food thing. I think Dewgong has like a really REALLY loud obnoxious laugh, like they do the seal clap and everything, and they find EVERYTHING funny. Including electabuzz's jokes (or even some of Haunters pranks), which is a problem, because the reason he keeps making jokes is because SOMEONE keeps laughing at them. Dewgong is an enabler, but only slightly.
I'm a funny neurodivergent person who gets severely uncomfortable in social drinking situations and has never indulged alcohol outside of my own home, but that won't stop me from nodding along to this cool new Big Yellow video.

I never thought of Smogon ranking as a job but it 100% makes sense. OU is the prime time meta, thats where the big bucks are and the official OU mons are basically celebrities. UU is a respectable scene, it doesn't hit quite the same numbers so there is still a working-class vibe but the top ones are definitely celebrities. All the other scenes pay even less and are basically the underground and amateur circuits. Some of the Pokemon here are still very well-known because they take other jobs that give them a ton of visibility (the starters might be down in NU but because they are such good actors they get lead roles in the movies). And Ubers is the only circuit that allows the use of steroids, hence why the Mews dominate and are banned from all other competitions.
In this world, AG/Anything Goes (if there is one in the gen's meta) would be like, an actual crime ring, like, at least Ubers TRIES to be legit (even if they indulge in a bit of not-so-legal medicinal practices), AG? They don't bother with legalities, if you wanna make bank with them, you gotta make bank with them regardless of the contract being dodgy as shit-
Adding to this headcanon of haunter slander. I feel like haunter just shows up. Shows up uninvited. Hijacks conversations. He's at every bar you go to and you have to wait for him to leave or pass out before the night is "yours" again. He's the awful tag-along stray kind of drunk

Only 1 pokemon into the video and already you've inserted a clear storyline in my head where the friend group used to all hang out and play games or watch movies, now they go out to drink and Kadabra just doesn't want to be a part of that so starts growing cold and bitter towards his friends which manifests itself in him having a big ego. However the rest of the group notices and suggests that he apply to work as the bartender so he can hang out with them while having something to do and he'd feel less out of place not drinking, to which he's initially hesistant but then finds out he's REALLY good at it and is a happier member of the group than he's ever been because he feels like he's really found his calling. These silly videos remind me why I love creative writing xD
OKAY 2 POKEMON IN AND ALREADY AN UPDATE (this is just for me at this point) Turns out Kadabra being the bartender is a massive plus for the crew because where the other bartenders kinda couldn't do shit to Haunter and making him leave was a challenge, Kadabra just threatens to Psychic tf out of him. The two of them never really got along and now that he has the responsibility to maintain civility of the bar he has no problem just being super forward with Haunter and saying "Right I've just about had enough of you, get tf out of here before I call in the Eggs" (I imagine Exeggutor to be the police, just reigning everyone in and occasionally bringing out the status sprays)
Gotta disagree about Raichu unfortunately. I feel like Raichu has seen how busy and how overwhelming the fame has been for Pikachu and is very content to just have their niche occasionally in lower tiers or in VGC. I picture Raichu as a chirpy older sister that is fun to be around and gets excited to tell the group when Pikachu is gonna be home for the weekend because Pikachu has to leave on business trips for sometimes years at a time and Raichu's very proud of how her younger brother manages the pressure. The only problem with Raichu? She's great friends with Haunter. The two of them have a similar energy and while Raichu would never pull any of the shit Haunter does, she does dismiss it as "Oh he's just like that, don't worry about him :)". She's one of the few that will meet up with Haunter in a 1 on 1 situation because he's "fun to be around"
my headcannon on top of your headcannon is that Buzz and Dragonite go WAYYYYY back, like went to the same highschool and played in the same highschool team and shit. Dragonite would be a top tier storyteller, with stories of their antics and happenings when they were younger. Like when they were a dragonair and an Elekid how they built a fort from sticks in the woods only to have it burnt by elekid electricity on accident or some shit. Whenever the group is hungry Buzz and Dragonite are the first ones to get food for everyone, splitting the bill together. Also they are the ones that chipped in the most for Kingler to get their job

@@chermal7311 alright i just looked them up: Zekrom Kick is from a proposed buff to zekrom and reshiram, giving them bulk up/calm mind respectively, then giving them an 100 base power dragon move, THEN an 120 base power move that was either dragon or electric/fire depending on which was better for the situation Due to uncreativity, these were named Reshiram Pulse and Reshiram Blast for reshiram, and Zekrom Punch and Zekrom Kick for zekrom and... Idk i guess the idea of zekrom kicking is kinda funny lol As for Schrodinger's Valiant, it was an r/stunfisk meme talking about bow iron valiant is really versatile but usually has some sort of tell that you can see within the first few moves (booster energy sd, expert belt calm mind, choice item, etc) and it immediately uses encore so the meme repeats itself
@@Terumimi For the Zekrom Kick it was mostly memed because of the unoriginal name, not so much the idea of Zekrom Kicking. It’s like if Mike Tyson yelled “Mike Tyson Attack” if he punched someone, it’s incredibly goofy. Zekrom kick is the equivalent of Lion Ladder/Lion Shield. It’s ridiculous in a hilarious and charming way.
Golem is definitely the wise veteran with an ancient rivalry with Rhydon. It started with seething hate before cooling into sadness. Golem probably slung so many insults they wish to take back at Rhydon, but cannot since they're (literally) tiers apart. Rhydon doesn't care to venture down to Golem's territory to talk, and Golem is too remorseful to head up themselves. If only someone could take Golem up to Rhydon's to break the ice and wall Zapdos like the good ol' times. Why am I getting so invested into this LMAO

Considering Haunter has a quad resistance to Poison-type (in addition to being a Poison-type), I don't think they would be a lightweight. In fact, considering how they can't even get poisoned in the first place, I don't even know if they can get drunk.

I definitely much agree with the Kadabra being a bar tender idea, but he wouldn't talk much if at all. He wouldn't be the kind you could confide in, he is instead the constantly looking grumpy old bar tender that never says a word but you always feel like you have done something to displease him when you notice his gaze. Damn his drinks are good, though. And he still doesn't drink. He learned mixes for the art of it. Edit: AHHHHH YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER!!!
Haunter may be the worst, however I completely believe that gengar is actually a really fun drunk and I'm glad you gave them their credit. Sure they may act a bit silly but they keep the vibe up when someone is having a rough night. Kinda mf who Consoled chansey when she wasn't invited to drink with snorlax and tauros for the first time in years etc. Idk I like the idea of gengar being just a vibe who likes to keep the mood up, probably the kinda guy to buy a round got everyone. Dragonite is 100% a dad in his 20s that just loves life. Like, after buying the gang pizza he would tell stories about his kids starting to do stuff. And he'd make sure baby Kanga always has a friend and is just so sweet.
10:40 My brain came up with an entire story arc of Kingler getting hired as a dayshift bartender, struggling for months to even pour a single drink because of how powerful it's claws are and then through patience and accommodation learns to use tongs to pick up and pour drinks properly and now makes enough to rent a decent room and put a small amount every month for a rainy day fund.

Couple thoughts I've had: Dewgong is like your friend's boyfriend's coworker or something who turns out to be a totally cool guy but you like never actually interact outside of this one specific setting. Gyarados is everything yellow described but also like a total gym bro who talks like a jock the whole time he's getting you home safe and sound
The whole Vaporeon segment is now my headcanon, thank you so much. I'd love to hang out with them and see like, Arcanine tease Vaporeon over how she gets tipsy really fast it'd be such a fun night. Just imagine: you're out drinking with the two and then Vaporeon gets like, tipsy after the first beer cuz she absorbs the alcohol instantly, and then Arcanine like teases her about it and you all have a little chuckle while Vaporeon gets all pouty and starts bringing up like, an embarrassing story from when they were out grocery shopping and Arcanine forgot about the milk and only remembered once they were getting thier items scanned so she had to race through the store to grab 2 cartons of milk and run back to the cashier who was just holding some small talk with Vaporeon while they waited cuz the cashier knows those 2 personally and then Arcanine gets all flustered and stuff from having that brought up, it'd be great Or you ask them how they met and then Arcanine retells how she saw Vaporeon feeling uncomfortable during like a college mixer she was peer pressured into and all the males in the group were kinda lowkey harrassing her because she was already kinda really drunk and she pulled her out of that group and helped her get the excess alcohol out of her system and bring her home safely and while she's continuing the story and going over how they met up for a second time Vaporeon just has the smuggest face you've ever seen while hugging the arm of her partner, like "bet you're really jealous because i have such an awesome partner, right" and she would be really spot on because Arcanine is just so cool and reliable and also really handsome
My head cannon has Hypno trying to jedi mind trick the bouncer into letting them into the bar, only to be thrown face first into the parking lot and complains about the social injustice of being banned for being a nice guy
Imagine if something ridiculously specific happened that day, like “Kevin Haggis trips over baseball-sized haggis down a flight of stairs, onto a sofa that some family placed on top of their car, then gets up and goes to drink exactly 14.8067 pints of various cocktails before saving the lives of 3 people with CPR then avoids a stabbing by backflipping over the culprit and over 3 other guys, before tripping and getting struck by a truck then struck by lightning, and surviving.”
It was so silly and then towards the end when they talked about Dragonite and Golem I felt emotionally connected to these characters, and the subtle jazz in the background felt like it turned more heart gripping, and then they show the absolutely adorable, vulnerable moment between them and their wife. I genuinely teared up, it's so nice. I'm not sure Big Yellow intended for this to be art, but it so is.
Kadabra absolutely does seem like they would be a bartender that would try to explain like the history of cocktails to you while you were trying to order a beer
clefable being called super reserved when she's pogging out with her sprite in the corner is really funny. Unfortunately dugtrio would become extremely evil two gens later where they become extremely clingy and refuse to let anyone leave conversation with them. I feel like kangaskhan would also be extremely emotionally supportive herself. Like she's the first to deal with Raichu's baggage if they're around at the same time and will listen and support you whenever you're feeling down.
I cannot tell you how seen I felt with this video. Literally do this type of stuff all the time with characters from Street Fighter or Jojo or what have you. Always glad to see this type of stuff out in the world. o7
For Dodrio, yes it would be 3 drinks into one stomach. They all want to drink separately but it gets them drunk super fast. They know this and will not change.
Poor Raichu just needs therapy, man. I mean, their feelings are justfied. Them being all like, "I have the better move pool, I have better stats, and that little yellow RAT gets to be the mascot?! They don't even get good until you give them the Thunderbolt TM and a Light ball! You know what's worse?! THEY get a Gigantamax form, TWO box art covers, every piece of merch imaginable, and what do I get?! What does, poor, forgotten, little Raichu get?...A regional variant and that's it! Right after Gen 7, I'm forgotten about again! But NOBODY forgets about the goody two-shoes, golden child Pikachu! Do people even remember what they were like when they first met Ash?! They were a brat! They were the worst!" Then they just...cry uncontrolably. Poor monster. But yeah, it would make sense for this to probably true in the Pokemon world. No Dragonite, no party. Also, say what you want about Haunter, at least their little brother Gastly's cool.
Dodrio argument: The two heads are cool and the third one is rowdy, but that's because the other two don't like the taste of alcohol so they let the middle head take care of it. It hits the body all the same for the three, but the third one is kinda miffed bc he *tolerates* the taste the most out of them

God what i wouldnt do for a storyline about the UU squad trying to help Kangaskhan find a partner to help with her child. Like setting up a poke-tinder for her, helping the situation get better, funny babysitting montage, etc.
There's probably a world not too far from our own where Nintendo of America did a better job promoting the official formats instead of just dumping them in Stadium and Yellow's Link Mode unexplaned and Smogon never took off. Like we'd be talking about Pokecup instead of OU, those banlisted Cups instead of UU, Petit Cup instead of NU, and Pika Cup instead of PU and ZU. Imagine that, except don't have to because that's basically what happened in Japan
I would've seen Electabuzz as that dude who is absolutely amazing to hang out with as you were saying and he's genuinely hilarous But he's that dude who's always working or already has plans so you rarely see him. Like he's that dude always up at 6am to get to work so he can't go on many nights out. But good for him, he's still living a good life and making good money
I really think Tangela would be another Pokemon not to drink, but not because of a feeling of moral superiority like Kadabra, but because he's kinda scared of it. Like I can just imagine Tangela having a Tomodachi Life smoothie while the rest are having their drinks I also imagine that he'd be super caring and worry a lot about others and their drinks, kinda like Gyarados but more so because he doesn't fully understand alcohol Great video as always, Big Yellow, it hit the perfect level of silliness while still making sense! I feel like the big difference-maker between Kangaskhan and Raichu's overall impacts on the night are due to their sorta motives?? Like, Kangaskhan goes down to the bar when she's feeling really down about things and wants to talk with someone about it to feel _better_ about it, whereas Raichu's going when he's feeling down and he wants to feel _miserable_ about it. It's not like he WANTS everyone to feel worse because of him, but he doesn't want to feel miserable AND lonely in his misery, so he sorta drags people down with him. (For the record, Raichu's like my favourite Pokemon, and... I get it. Bro has some _massive_ self-esteem and/or inferiority complex issues and if I were in that situation, I don't know how I'd cope with it either)

Alakazam seems like an old and respected mathematician/philosopher, who occasionally goes to the bar to relax and share his wisdom with the younger people. Meanwhile, Kadabra is just a nerd. A bit overconfident, he thinks he can resch Alakazam's level with little effort. But he doesn't know that Alakazam had to study abroad for many years.
Hope you enjoy this much sillier kind of video, I wanted to make something smaller in scope to give myself a bit of a break after the last video was such a massive undertaking, and given how much fun I've had with headcanoning Pokémon on some of my streams and such I thought this would be fun! At the start of the Haunter section, I was heavily reminded of this one guy that came to my last bar job. He'd come in Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 5pm, too late for lunch and too early for happy hour, I think that was on purpose because the place is almost empty. He said almost nothing the whole time, scowled at people who made too much noise, tapped his empty glass on the bar for refills and kicked up a stink if anyone changed the channel from music videos. So anyway, now when I see Haunter, it'll remind me of grumpy Ian and I'm mad about it :P

I now imagine that Ninetales and Electabuzz once met up with Arcanine and Vaporeon while they were still dating and, despite Arcanine and Ninetales' animosity towards each other, grew to somewhat respect each other even if they occupy similar work spaces and Buzz and Vaporeon also grew to become fast friends

I think this has genuine potential to be like, some sort of fun series of stories with a revolving door cast. There's so many potential stories to tell, especially with the bottom half of the list.
Delve into Haunter, why is he such an asshole and what pushes him to become better when he evolves into Gengar?
Delve into Raichu's inferiority complex, the way it affects them, and how maybe pouring their feelings out over alcohol isn't the best way of dealing with things.
The top half of the list has potential too. Delve into Dragonite's past as a former OU douchebag who saw the error of his ways and apologizes for it by being the chillest motherfucker alive. Or delve into Vaporeon and her budding relationship with Arcanine, have the cast help her by playing wingman and eventually have that romance blossom.
I also saw someone else in this comment section float the idea of Ninetails being less bitch and more girl boss. Maybe she could start out as a bitch, but kind of mellow out over time. Also, that same comment had her in a relationship with Electabuzz, which I think is cute.
These are just a few ideas I cooked up in my brain. I wish I had the mental capacity to actually turn this into something more.

Hop's Father is a passable player in most shooters, but he inevitably gets kicked from every game that has a voice chat cause he keeps mentioning how Leon is his son and that makes him the father of the champion. Impossible to nail down which game they play.
Bedes Father is unknown, so we substitute with his adoptive parents, crazy fairy lady and somehow more insane CEO. Eeeeeeeh Overwatch. Rose plays Overwatch.

I like the idea of Gengar being more mature because they are specifically a trade evolution, so to evolve they *have* to become more worldly and experienced and it has helped them grow as an individual
Gengar got traded up to Gen 2, met Dark types, got absolutely steamrolled, and then had to go through the Tradebacks process, and came back a lot more appreciative of Gen 1.

Tangela got Dugtrio a flower pot for Christmas one year because Tangela gets it, Tangela understands the whole mysterious hidden body vibe because Tangela's doing the same thing with the vines, so he's really empathetic to the struggles Dugtrio goes through keeping themselves firmly in the dirt. So now Dugtrio wears the flower pot like a boot whenever they can't be _actually_ underground. Dugtrio's big problem is that they do ask to be _on_ the bar instead of on a stool, which is nice because it frees up a stool but there are some bartenders who worry they're gonna get soil on the bar.

I think Dewgong has like a really REALLY loud obnoxious laugh, like they do the seal clap and everything, and they find EVERYTHING funny. Including electabuzz's jokes (or even some of Haunters pranks), which is a problem, because the reason he keeps making jokes is because SOMEONE keeps laughing at them. Dewgong is an enabler, but only slightly.

I never thought of Smogon ranking as a job but it 100% makes sense.
OU is the prime time meta, thats where the big bucks are and the official OU mons are basically celebrities.
UU is a respectable scene, it doesn't hit quite the same numbers so there is still a working-class vibe but the top ones are definitely celebrities.
All the other scenes pay even less and are basically the underground and amateur circuits. Some of the Pokemon here are still very well-known because they take other jobs that give them a ton of visibility (the starters might be down in NU but because they are such good actors they get lead roles in the movies).
And Ubers is the only circuit that allows the use of steroids, hence why the Mews dominate and are banned from all other competitions.
In this world, AG/Anything Goes (if there is one in the gen's meta) would be like, an actual crime ring, like, at least Ubers TRIES to be legit (even if they indulge in a bit of not-so-legal medicinal practices), AG? They don't bother with legalities, if you wanna make bank with them, you gotta make bank with them regardless of the contract being dodgy as shit-

Only 1 pokemon into the video and already you've inserted a clear storyline in my head where the friend group used to all hang out and play games or watch movies, now they go out to drink and Kadabra just doesn't want to be a part of that so starts growing cold and bitter towards his friends which manifests itself in him having a big ego. However the rest of the group notices and suggests that he apply to work as the bartender so he can hang out with them while having something to do and he'd feel less out of place not drinking, to which he's initially hesistant but then finds out he's REALLY good at it and is a happier member of the group than he's ever been because he feels like he's really found his calling.

Turns out Kadabra being the bartender is a massive plus for the crew because where the other bartenders kinda couldn't do shit to Haunter and making him leave was a challenge, Kadabra just threatens to Psychic tf out of him. The two of them never really got along and now that he has the responsibility to maintain civility of the bar he has no problem just being super forward with Haunter and saying "Right I've just about had enough of you, get tf out of here before I call in the Eggs" (I imagine Exeggutor to be the police, just reigning everyone in and occasionally bringing out the status sprays)
Gotta disagree about Raichu unfortunately.
I feel like Raichu has seen how busy and how overwhelming the fame has been for Pikachu and is very content to just have their niche occasionally in lower tiers or in VGC. I picture Raichu as a chirpy older sister that is fun to be around and gets excited to tell the group when Pikachu is gonna be home for the weekend because Pikachu has to leave on business trips for sometimes years at a time and Raichu's very proud of how her younger brother manages the pressure. The only problem with Raichu? She's great friends with Haunter. The two of them have a similar energy and while Raichu would never pull any of the shit Haunter does, she does dismiss it as "Oh he's just like that, don't worry about him :)". She's one of the few that will meet up with Haunter in a 1 on 1 situation because he's "fun to be around"
my headcannon on top of your headcannon is that Buzz and Dragonite go WAYYYYY back, like went to the same highschool and played in the same highschool team and shit. Dragonite would be a top tier storyteller, with stories of their antics and happenings when they were younger. Like when they were a dragonair and an Elekid how they built a fort from sticks in the woods only to have it burnt by elekid electricity on accident or some shit. Whenever the group is hungry Buzz and Dragonite are the first ones to get food for everyone, splitting the bill together.
Also they are the ones that chipped in the most for Kingler to get their job

Zekrom Kick is from a proposed buff to zekrom and reshiram, giving them bulk up/calm mind respectively, then giving them an 100 base power dragon move, THEN an 120 base power move that was either dragon or electric/fire depending on which was better for the situation
Due to uncreativity, these were named Reshiram Pulse and Reshiram Blast for reshiram, and Zekrom Punch and Zekrom Kick for zekrom and... Idk i guess the idea of zekrom kicking is kinda funny lol
As for Schrodinger's Valiant, it was an r/stunfisk meme talking about bow iron valiant is really versatile but usually has some sort of tell that you can see within the first few moves (booster energy sd, expert belt calm mind, choice item, etc) and it immediately uses encore so the meme repeats itself

It’s like if Mike Tyson yelled “Mike Tyson Attack” if he punched someone, it’s incredibly goofy. Zekrom kick is the equivalent of Lion Ladder/Lion Shield. It’s ridiculous in a hilarious and charming way.

Golem is definitely the wise veteran with an ancient rivalry with Rhydon. It started with seething hate before cooling into sadness. Golem probably slung so many insults they wish to take back at Rhydon, but cannot since they're (literally) tiers apart. Considering Haunter has a quad resistance to Poison-type (in addition to being a Poison-type), I don't think they would be a lightweight. In fact, considering how they can't even get poisoned in the first place, I don't even know if they can get drunk.

I definitely much agree with the Kadabra being a bar tender idea, but he wouldn't talk much if at all. He wouldn't be the kind you could confide in, he is instead the constantly looking grumpy old bar tender that never says a word but you always feel like you have done something to displease him when you notice his gaze. Damn his drinks are good, though.

Haunter may be the worst, however I completely believe that gengar is actually a really fun drunk and I'm glad you gave them their credit. Sure they may act a bit silly but they keep the vibe up when someone is having a rough night. Kinda mf who Consoled chansey when she wasn't invited to drink with snorlax and tauros for the first time in years etc. Idk I like the idea of gengar being just a vibe who likes to keep the mood up, probably the kinda guy to buy a round got everyone.

Dewgong is like your friend's boyfriend's coworker or something who turns out to be a totally cool guy but you like never actually interact outside of this one specific setting.

The whole Vaporeon segment is now my headcanon, thank you so much. I'd love to hang out with them and see like, Arcanine tease Vaporeon over how she gets tipsy really fast it'd be such a fun night.
Just imagine: you're out drinking with the two and then Vaporeon gets like, tipsy after the first beer cuz she absorbs the alcohol instantly, and then Arcanine like teases her about it and you all have a little chuckle while Vaporeon gets all pouty and starts bringing up like, an embarrassing story from when they were out grocery shopping and Arcanine forgot about the milk and only remembered once they were getting thier items scanned so she had to race through the store to grab 2 cartons of milk and run back to the cashier who was just holding some small talk with Vaporeon while they waited cuz the cashier knows those 2 personally and then Arcanine gets all flustered and stuff from having that brought up, it'd be great
Or you ask them how they met and then Arcanine retells how she saw Vaporeon feeling uncomfortable during like a college mixer she was peer pressured into and all the males in the group were kinda lowkey harrassing her because she was already kinda really drunk and she pulled her out of that group and helped her get the excess alcohol out of her system and bring her home safely and while she's continuing the story and going over how they met up for a second time Vaporeon just has the smuggest face you've ever seen while hugging the arm of her partner, like "bet you're really jealous because i have such an awesome partner, right" and she would be really spot on because Arcanine is just so cool and reliable and also really handsome
My head cannon has Hypno trying to jedi mind trick the bouncer into letting them into the bar, only to be thrown face first into the parking lot and complains about the social injustice of being banned for being a nice guy
The idea of Haunter drinking is pretty funny mechanically.

We need more of this. This was so heartwarming and I have absolutely no clue why. The vibes were just there.
It was so silly and then towards the end when they talked about Dragonite and Golem I felt emotionally connected to these characters, and the subtle jazz in the background felt like it turned more heart gripping, and then they show the absolutely adorable, vulnerable moment between them and their wife. I genuinely teared up, it's so nice. I'm not sure Big Yellow intended for this to be art, but it so is.
Kadabra absolutely does seem like they would be a bartender that would try to explain like the history of cocktails to you while you were trying to order a beer

For Dodrio, yes it would be 3 drinks into one stomach. They all want to drink separately but it gets them drunk super fast. They know this and will not change.

I feel like the big difference-maker between Kangaskhan and Raichu's overall impacts on the night are due to their sorta motives??
Like, Kangaskhan goes down to the bar when she's feeling really down about things and wants to talk with someone about it to feel _better_ about it, whereas Raichu's going when he's feeling down and he wants to feel _miserable_ about it. It's not like he WANTS everyone to feel worse because of him, but he doesn't want to feel miserable AND lonely in his misery, so he sorta drags people down with him.
(For the record, Raichu's like my favourite Pokemon, and... I get it. Bro has some _massive_ self-esteem and/or inferiority complex issues and if I were in that situation, I don't know how I'd cope with it either)
