Last winter I set out a blueberry pie to cool on a bench beside our front door for only about 20 minutes. Not a dog; likely a raven or crow! Nothing left but a blue stained rim around the pie dish and some purple snow. I should have known better: my grandmother put 3 fruit pies on the windowsill of her “dairy”. A Jersey cow named Blossom enjoyed all three!
Looks awesome, went back through, put down ingredients and temps and going to add some more frozen fruit to groc. lists from now on, hubby going to love you for this one...two...three...or however many I am going to make. Lord, maybe will get my weight up some, I got back 5 lbs btw even while being sick all week probably because didn't move or do much of anything. Gracie is just so loving of your cooking if she could do a thumbs up for you, she would!

lmao @your dog. Reminds me of my dog, the first year we had her. We had a tray of Christmas cookies on the kitchen counter and we came down in the morning to find several cookies gone. She instinctively left the chocolate ones (thank god because we know chocolate can make them deathly ill) We thought they were out of her reach.
Your pie crust looks easy, I’ve never made one. Maybe I’ll give it a try. At the same time I’m thinking, Ms. Volfie has been making pie crust for years! What type of lard do you use? I’ve read the ingredients on a lard package at Wal-Mart and thought it was a lot of chemicals, so didn’t get it. I’m in Alabama. Any of you on here know a good lard to buy for my first attempt at making a good flakey pie crust?

I have to make a couple of peanut pies this weekend. I dread it because I have to shell the raw peanuts and make the pie crust. I am just feeling lazy. I told my daughter (who gets one of the pies) that I might just go buy pie crusts just to see what she would said. She about had a fit! LOL I prefer homemade pie crust over store bought so it was just funny to tease her!

How to avoid the too much water from the frozen fruit? everytime when I baked it, I felt there was too much water from the frozen water. so then I had to bake them for around 80 mins😂
