Of course I am all way for Lorelai and Luke, but I think it was one of the worst things Lorelai did, that she did keep this from her parents. It would have been perfect. Jason would have been accepted from her parents, and they could have been happy, as they matched very well. If she would have not kept this a secret Richard would have not thrown Jason out of the company, and Jason would have not sued Richard. I also never understood Lorelai's stand on the whole suing Richard thing - what else was Jason supposed to do? I understand it was a difficult situation for her, but ...
She hid her relationship with Jason for very good reasons. Emily hated Jason, remember? Richard was suing Jason first, and his father and Richard were ruining Jason just because he dared go out on his own. Lorelei should have stood by Jason, because what was happening to him was very unfair.

Just because she didn't like parents that don't mean she should go with Jason. Lorelai did the right thing and it shows she is thinking of her parents and not herself and Jason.
I randomly said something today that rhymed and out of NOWHERE I immediately thought of this scene and had no doubt that someone had posted a video of this scene.... so yes, I came here for “A vessel with a pestle holds the brew that is true” although I did watch the whole video.... well, cause that’s what you do with a Gilmore clip.
@DizzyDior12 ok yes maybe Jason did SOMETIMES put work before Lorelai but other than that, Jason did so some nice things for Lorelai, like for instance, not telling Richard about him and Lorelai when Lorelai said to not say anything, that it was her thing to tell them and she wasn't ready. Jason respected that, even though he thought it was wrong, he still didn't tell Richard or Emily. but Jason did a lot of nice things that i think you're forgetting about.
I didn't he was too boring for Lorelai and he never understood her. If he had to ask if everything had to be fun while on a dad then you know he is a dud. Jason tried way to hard to get Lorelai to go out with him. Luke never had to try or please her. Like kept her grounded.

I just don't think Jason got her and loved her as well as they did. Especially Luke. I feel that Jason put himself first and didn't compliment her, didn't go with her. This is just my opinion. I felt that Jason put Loreli first in a lot of situations. He respected her wishes when she wanted to keep their relationship a a secret. He tired to fight for her when she tired to brake it off when he was using her father. If anything Luke was the one who wasn't there for her especially when he knew about April. He kept her a secret from Loreli for two months, he basically made her cancel the wedding when he found out about April, and he wouldn't let her Loreli get involved. That's not being there for someone in my opinion.
