She should have stayed out of it after that but it isn't in her nature to back off and that's her main character flaw. Same thing when Loralie wouldn't respect Luke's wishes when he got rid of his dad's boat and she took it and stored it thinking he would appreciate her gesture and thank her but it backfired and he broke up with her because she ignored his wishes .Loralie is not that different from Emily in many respects but the show wants her to be the hero and Emily the villian.
Gizzas. Why is that woman so keen on Christopher is beyond me. He's a deadbeat dad who never helped Lorelei raise Rory, not even financially, tho he's rich. She struggled to put Rory through the best schools and where was he? Luke helped her move Rory's stuff into her dorm, Luke was there at her graduation, Luke prepared her food, Luke always took on the father's role. Emily thinks the only people that matter are rich ones, preferably from old money families. Someone like Luke doesn't make the cut although he is a stable element in her daughter's and granddaughter's life, while Christopher comes and goes and just doesn't fit in in his daughter's life. Rory has a mother and a (mostly absent) father already, she (at 18) doesn't need them to be together anymore. So Emily's obsession with him is weird.
