In the first one, the con pods actually existed. Like, the actors were inside a moving con pod that was shaking and everything. Barely any CGI if any. This one though.. ugh.. its just bad.

The actors in the original literately came off of set trembling because of how much of work out it was. Like im sure these guys also had it hard but not nearly as hard as the 1st movie

I have got to be brutally Honest all of the people who do not like this movie are spoiled fools who cannot appreciate a not good but Amazingly "GREAT" Movie. this movie has got to be one of the very best movies ever created. creativity. the action, the dialogue the special effects were great and the acting was nice. this truly is one of the absolute top movies I have ever seen. the director had such an awesome vision and creative spirit. I love you all. thank You for taking your time out to create such a fun-filled and fun packed movie your time and efforts are so appreciated by me and my family you have a lifetime Fan right here. P.S. The first one was amazing and this one was even better. I think honestly people are spoiled and don't even have a clue of what it takes and what goes on to make a great movie. you guys Rock and the Director is awesome.
I'm sorry but you're wrong. The whole original idea of this universe didn't came from this director but it came from Del Toro! He was the visionary and creative mind behind the universe of Pacific Rim! Plus, he also was really cared about making us feel the realism of how it would be an experience of piloting a colossal robot to fight giant monsters. If you see the behing the scene of the first movie, he shows his worries with this important detail that got the feeling of awesomeness of Pacific Rim and that Uprising failed so hard to bring to the table! To give you an idea, the only thing that wasn't CGI of the experience of piloting the yeager in the 1st movie was the yeagers visor and a couple details, the whole scenario was actually constructed and could move for real, the moves we see inside the heads of yeagers are real! Guillermo said that he constructed a "torture machine" for the actors, because they REALLY felt what could it be if they were inside a hude robot for real! And not only them, but the audience also could feel the action, feel the intensity of fights, feel the correctly damages and think "man, this thing looks real!" Add to that the soundtrack, good camera angles, the textures... all of that combined to became nothing less than a remarkable and epic experience! That's the problem with this one! We created a huge expectation to see all of this even bigger! But it hasn't happened! The big community agreed that Uprising failed as a sequel of what we have seen before! The few who liked it, i'm sorry but they disregarded all of that to enjoy an movie that alone maaay be good, but as what it should be, a SEQUEL of an amazing movie: it Sucks. I don't wanna look like i'm disrespecting the hard work that was put in Uprising, but that's the truth. Came on, the world of PC is already futuristic, why in the world in Uprising it looks like they threw away all the logic of the universe it was presented to us before, to give us robots that looks like more with Power Rangers? Come on... It seems the pilots are on a eletric treadmill stead of piloting an enormous yeager! And not only that, but also how drift compatibility actually works, cuz we've saw how carefully a copilot were chosen to be drift compatible with the other. Pilots were chosen based on there's previous military and war experience, not putting a bunch of teenagers inside of a yaeger! To build a yaeger there was a lot of engineering envolved! Not a teenager build a yaeger from garbage! So we can't take this movie seriously. Like I said, it seems they threw away all of that. So, if you want to disregard that too to enjoy it, go ahead, but it's far of being an awesome movie! I really hope Del Toro retorn to bring us a fear sequel. God bess you.

He trains Tom Hardy for warriors and Batman and also Benedict Cumberbatch in Little Favor and others and just the acting alone is such a big deal. the people never see the Giants its all acting and that alone is a craft. the movie was and is great and if you and others don't like it maybe its because you don't do the work to put something like this together. that's all i am saying . anyway have a great Day buddy and check out behind the scenes of "Little" Favor my brother Patrick one of the directors and fighting choreographers also he did the music and the end and he directed the movie he will be the one in the black hat training BC. take care. the Conn pod doesn't feel as grounded and as realistic as the original, it looks more like a Power Ranger's cockpit. Too playful, too colourful.
Not to mention that its completely static in the movie. The visor's view is that of someone staring dead straight with their head completely level.
