    I unironically think it's awesome that over the last 7 years or so iced coffee's gone all the way back around to "just make coffee and put it in the fridge"

      yeah but the difference ? 7 years ago : put crappy coffee with French press or even left over coffees in the fridge and enjoy your crappy iced coffee that is bitter and tastes like nothing really specialnow : brew a nice specialty single origin coffee with fruity or floral notes and put in fridge and enjoy a great iced coffee with fruit notes and fragrant aromas

      Robert Curran that's what I do nowadays. I either use my aeropress or pull a couple shots from my espresso machine and it comes out fantastic. Just as good as Blue Bottle's New Orleans iced coffee but I am pretty biased haha

    I have two questions if anyone can help. 1) do you place the coffee hot in the fridge or wait for it to go room temp? And second ive searched everywhere for a suitable vessel but theyre all insulated. If anyone can suggest a suitable metal vessel i would be grateful. Thank you in advance

    What temperature is the water at when pouring? I usually wait 2-3 minutes after boiling, but I'd be interested to know if there's a certain temperature you are shooting for here... Thanks!

      It is best within a few hours, but still drinkable after 6 hours.
      I haven't tried freezing it, but that might work for keeping it fresh.

    What is your opinion on the "Japanese" iced coffee brewing method?

    • @blasepraque
      @blasepraque 7 років тому +3

      Was about to ask the same. It's hard when you crave iced coffee, you just want to drink it right away hehe

    • @stefanodomeni
      @stefanodomeni 7 років тому +2

      Totally! It's quick and it doesn't get diluted from the ice cubes and I feel like the flavors of the coffee get locked in by brewing directly over ice. I get a lot of nice crisp acidity and sweetness. My mouth is watering just from writing that, lol

    • @sorooshsaghebi9465
      @sorooshsaghebi9465 7 років тому +4

      I have tried this version and I had more sweetness (I haven't tried sugar yet), with Japanese method you reduce your water and that with that less sugar dissolve, I have tried both but I prefer Tim's version... although I use a metal vessel and put the vessel in ice and put them all in freezer (I'm not crazy :)) ) it cools down in about ten minutes

    • @annasssokol
      @annasssokol 7 років тому +2

      cold brew for ex cant make what well extracted real brew can. but when coffee cools down what destroys it is not the fact it cools down but the contact with oxygen. So, brew the coffee, seal, cool, drink as fast as ossible once chilled. GOtta try with sugar though, have hard time with it still..

      I find that it enhances the fruity flavours in the coffee. Especially when drunk cold but also when hot.

      I usually don't put sugar in my coffee , but when I brew for my friends and family I tend to put sugar in it so everyone can drink it . I do think it's up to drinker's own preference . If you don't like it just don't put them . Enjoy the coffee the way you like it .

    whats with the hate comments on this video.. just because of the "6 g" of sugar.. i mean its not gonna make the coffee taste very different.. and let the man enjoy his coffee the way he wants to.

      @@degoyen it's ok to experiment with flavour. Purity has its place. It's an iced coffee it's hardly being drizzled in syrup. Do you complain about Coffee In Good Spirits?

    • @degoyen
      @degoyen 4 роки тому +1

      platinumdynamite I complain about bad coffee, that’s all. If you add sugar, which it doesn’t need, I can safely conclude that’s not good coffee.
      And by the way, you could do what ever you want with your drinks.
